Wow who cares about illegal immigrants being rounded up and sent back to their birth country, what’s the big deal about that, someone please explain?

just deceived by a new Indian immigrant, and it feels terrible. About 10 days ago, I posted an advertisement for a parking spot rental in front of my apartment condo. I then received a call from someone who said he had just moved here from India and needed a parking spot. I explained that parking spots here are rented on a monthly basis. He said that was fine, but he wanted to first pay only for the days from October 24 to October 31, and then he would pay for the following month. I thought that was acceptable, so I agreed.However, on October 31, he didn’t make the payment as expected. When I asked, he said he would pay on November 1. The next day, when I hadn’t received the payment, I followed up, and he promised to pay the following morning. By noon on November 2, I still hadn’t received the payment, so I messaged him again, but he didn’t respond. It was only later in the evening when he finally replied, saying he no longer needed the parking spot and that I could rent it to someone else. Then i asked how to deal with the rest of the payment of these days for the parking he already used, no reply anymore. At that moment, I really felt deceived. Why so much like getting smart with others?

They want to protest but refuse to be interviewed to share their views on what's happening and why they need to leave. If you're there to protest and fight for your rights, it makes sense to take advantage of the interview and clearly express what you're fighting for. Ignoring someone who wants to understand your perspective suggests you may have an attitude problem. This could be the reason you're being targeted—because you're unwilling to do something as simple as explaining what you're standing up for. Kudos to the only man who accepted the interview, even while someone was trying to take the mic away from him. In the end, I hope they can find a solution for both our Canadian and Indian brothers and sisters, and that their countries will prosper again, creating more opportunities for them.

This is a rat race , not everyone one is educated, not everyone has basic etiquettes and work dedication to explore the professional world, not everyone knows how to speak english properly or to express themselves clearly and they just come here as they hear or see that PEOPLE LIVING IN CANADA ARE EARLING HELL AMOUNT OF MONEY. As a international student who just came to Canada last year, I understand how extremely bad the cultural bubble is that is created by Indian people, you have to understand that for even someone like me who wants to adopt the culture here and explore other cultures, its not easy. Generally I have faced concealed racism when i try to interact with people from different cultures (latinos, white and especially asian people). Regardless, Im trying to still get out of the bubble and have somewhat managed to do so, Im just trying to explain my point of view. Im also not denying that the majority of the people in the bubble are not trying to get of the bubble ( I hate this mindset too)

You have tried to explain very well the initial struggle faced by new immigrants. This does take years and sometimes decades to settle down properly in a new country for first generation. First generation Indians try to save as much as they can while cutting corners. Things have relatively become much easier as there are plenty of jobs for those who have professional degrees and substantial experience. I personally found Canadian bachelor of engineering was far superior than masters of computer science in USA. I enjoyed spending four years in downtown Toronto while full time studying in late 80’s before moving back to USA. Someone else mentioned here in previous thread that all of their friends are much better off in India. I feel more or less the same way in spite of having three engineering degrees and 40 years experience. I am strong believer in Karmas, your destiny will take you where you’re supposed to be. In my opinion,California and Texas belong to the Indian; they claim it back, simply solution unite the two countries, give them a passport or a visa so they can visit when ever they want. If they want to visit or work, let them pay to cross. Paid for visa,passport, hotel and food. We do it when we visit other countries. Even with insurance in the US, if you have a baby, you will be paying tens of thousands of dollars. In Ontario Canada where i live i paid zero dollars.
