What a brilliant speech. No shouting, no humiliation, facts and a clear plan of action. Dignity and strength expressed calm, precise and civilised. My highest respect for Mr Trudeau and Canada!

That is how a leader of a country speaks to his people. Calm, articulate, no name calling or yelling and no lies. I am an American but I support Canada in this.

His speech was not only eloquent and well addressed. I loved the paused, calm but firm way in which he spoke. I had my criticism of him, due to some policies of his government, but now, I'd be SO proud to have him as a prime minister. Well done, Mr. Trudeau. Stand strong, Canadians ??✊? Two Brits here, my husband & I wish we had leadership like this at home! So impressed with Trudeau - calm, clear & logical! So disappointed he won't be at the helm for much longer - hope and pray the strong stance will be maintained in the weeks / months to come!

America has always done stuff like this need an excuse for some type of thing that makes us rich, so stupid, manifest destiny in which we learn in school, its fucked up, we just need stability. I’m not a fan of Trudeau but he speaks in a calm rational manner. He is polite but firm. I’m an American and although I agree with some of Trumps ideas, being rude and not thinking things through before acting, is inexcusable. We have enemies all over the world and now we have even turned our friends against us. The drug problem is an American problem, not Canada or Mexico. We can’t keep guns from entering Mexico, arming the cartels, how can we expect the Mexican government to keep drugs out of America?

Trudeau was one of the first presidents to congratulate Trump in person after his election victory. Well, I'm pretty sure he would take that back if he knew this day would come. In any case, good delivery, cool, calm, collected and convincing. Kudos, young man?
