They will find other countries to buy their lumber while the cost of building American homes soars. It will be easy for Canada, Mexico and China to come out ahead in this trade war. Trump’s understanding of economics and international trade is at the sixth grade level- and not a very bright sixth grader. Finally where is Trumps plan to protect American families and workers? Where is the national resolve to work together to get through this?

I think it is time to use all the unused land to grow our vegetation and any thing else that gets planted to use for the Canadian. Retaliatory tarrifs against USA are necessary, but a better impact would be achieved with significant but similar retaliatory increase in sanctions against Putin. In that way, Putin will be more likely to tell his boy to stop the attack against Canada.
