I do not know if tariffs or Trump's actions are the correct thing to do. But why can't the USA do 25% tariffs, if Canada has 65% tariffs on the USA? Why is Canada demanding the USA support them? Someone please explain it to me. And Trudeau could have picked up the phone and called Trump, this speech was not meant to solve anything. What is so brilliant except to heighten rhetoric and tension? Someone needs to be a grown up but going on CNN and insulting Trump isn't the way.

Thanks for making it clear what you did right but not making it clear on what the US administration wanted from you that you said no to that caused the tariff implementation. It's possible you miss 50% of your illegal border crossings into the u.s. since so much of your border isn't secured. The 1900% increase in illegal crossing in the past few years doesn't look very good. It's dumb to assume you did everything right and then the u.s. just randomly decided they'd continue with the tariffs for fun. Be more honest and say where you put your foot down so the American public can better understand what is going on.

All these years US has a trade deficit of 1 trillion dollars every year. With tariffs we could have recovered 250 billion every year. That is a lot of money. I just just don't understand what these blanket tariffs achieve for Americans. Firstly, employment in the US is at an all time high, if the aim is to bring back primary and manufacturing industries then it's just a myth. It's just pointless and mindless. The raw ingredients come from China and into their respective nations, where they are processed and made into Fentanyl, then brought into the U.S. Neither nation has taken Trump seriously and Biden didn't give a crap and actually assisted with bringing in more of everything. If you think businesses are going to pay for the increased cost of importing and are not going to scale back their labor forces are raise prices you don't have an understanding of business and finance.
