One of the best speeches i have heard in a long time. So close to the heart of all Canadians.

First: sorry for my bad english. It is not my First language. \n\nThis speech was remarkable. No lies, no BS, just the facts. Wish we would here the same out of the White House. \n\nAs a german who knows about german history and how everything started back then I'm terrified how fast the United States of America are moving towards a dictatorship.\n\nEvery politician around the free world should be worried about what is going to happen if DT keeps doing what he is doing, which is undermining every treaty and contract the US is having with the rest of the world.\n\nAnd on a personal note: as a child I always dreamed of someday moving to the USA. After beeing there on holiday in 2017 and also driving to Canada to visit some friends, that dream changed.\n\nDon't get me wrong, I still love your country, but you elected the worst President for the second time! WHY??? You could have known what it would be like, everything was reported on by this network and many others.\n\nAs one commentator said: this is not going to end well. And I and most of Europe and the rest of the world are thinking the same and we are afraid of the things to come.

This is leadership, devoid of self-interest, bigotry, cowardice, or division. It is hard to be misrepresented by “Donald”, who is desecrating what it means to be an American. Prime Minister Trudeau’s speech is inspirational and would fill me with fighting spirit if I were a Canadian. “Donald” contributed the divisions in our country and now he is isolating us from our allies. As Americans, we are stuck in a relationship with an over narcissist. Being American stays alive in every one of us who upholds the ideals of our country. A president is a civil servant, so he is our employee. He does not behave like an employee and as such, he should be fired. It is what “Donald” would do. ??‍♂️

Anti-Americanism? Seriously? That is NOT what he said. Did you listen to any part of his speech at all? The English version, not the French one. Although if you'd listened to the French version, it would better explain why you are misrepresenting what he actually said. You might have misunderstood a large portion of it.

THIS IS A LEADER! This is how a leader should speak. Without an ounce of arrogance but full of factful compassion. Truth be told, Mr Trudeau is one of my favourite leaders of a country. He may have issues, but which leader doesn't right. Look at what Trump is doing now. Great speech, Sir. I feel so proud of ??.

This might just be one of the most articulate and impactful speeches of modern day history.\nI'm genuinely so envious that the United States doesn't have a leader like Canada does currently. I, like many other Americans, stand with Canada on this! ❤

I'm not with trump but listen to professor Sachs speech in the European parliament. This war was planned and financed by the USA. It all started in the 1990s.its a game that the elite and the MIC play . Who owns most of the mic, BlackRock. Who has the contract to rebuild Ukraine, BlackRock. Who will mine Ukraine resources, BlackRock. Welcome to the game\n We are nothing more than porns. In all the movies growing up who are the villains? Russia, China, Middle East terrorist. Very good speech by Trudeau except for one comment. He said Donald is a smart man. I'm sure he was just being polite. Donald Trump is not a smart man. He is an idiot. Plus he's crazy and sadistic and evil, and he suffers from dementia. The cult of Trump is a death cult.

It's quite refreshing listening to a speech given by a head of state that isn't Donald. It's the contrast of truth and facts from one and lies and personal childish attacks from the other.

One thing I find cool about Canadian federal speeches is that they conduct it in both English and French - Canada’s official languages. Their politicians are mostly bilingual because they are required to be. That’s kinda cool.

So for everyone fawning over Trudeau's ability to be articulate, that is impressive to you only because the U.S. has had a piece of steamed broccoli named Biden as a figure head for the last 4 years.\nI can't say I understand Trump's strategy with respect to Canada, but I absolutely know that Trump is no Socialist like Trudeau is. I am happy to wait and see how this shakes out because Trump has been right on so, so many things. No one is perfect, not Trump and not Trudeau. Maybe it's not about drugs. Maybe Canada could offer to go back to respecting individual liberties and free speech in return for the elimination of U.S. tariffs. Sounds like something Trump would agree to.

No winners in a trade war. No winners in a Trump America. \n\nCanadians should be proud of having a smart, wise, handsome, rational leader. Sadly, ours is the polar opposite, a bloated tragic excuse for a president. As one of MANY millions who voted for Kamala, we join Canadians in the fight against these ridiculous tariffs that Trump initiated. We're ashamed of him. This Trudeau speech is very very honorable and articulate and resolute.

Brilliant speech by Trudeau?. One of his best speeches ever. A classic. If other leaders called out Trump like this, maybe that would stop him!

This global politics thing isn't a first-name affair, and it's one thing for the media to have a snarky quip about a world leader, but quite another for the leader of another country to declare it publicly. You've essentially left him no choice but to stand firm -- there is no wiggle room now. You and Zelenskyy may well have lit the final fuse for World War III. Cheers bud.

One of the BEST SPEECHES we've seen by an American President in a loooong time. Wait, what do you mean he's Canada's Prime Minister? Good Lord, our U.S. leaders NEED TO take public speaking notes from Trudeau.?

No you believe in us protecting you for free for forever. And it’s over. You are crippling yourselves Canada. And again, you must have a team of moderators that crowd source opinions and use mine often to prepare you for your next speech. I am wondering if Fox is gonna show this speech, and how about Newsmax and, the other one that I right now don't remember, I really hope the Americans who voted for trump see how a real leader talks and behaves and I also hope that people realize that this president is hurting every single American Citizen, these tariffs will not help our country it will make it so much harder for every person in The USA to make a decent living. Please don't forget about this NOT NOW NOT EVER.

Looking in from the out side I applaud Trudeau on his speech. But........ Canada needs the USA more than the USA needs Canada. Trump is who the United States elected by a majority. No games..... no fraud..... He IS THE Average large pickup driving, loud and rude American. He Is America and the rest of the world needs to take note.\n\n To be fair, in historical terms, the USA was created to be isolated and different than Europe. They went to War to become an independent country away from Europe. This whole idea that they follow Europe everywhere is only a small blip in history since WW2, they were never set up to be that.\n\n If Anything, the rest of the world should see there mistake in becoming so dependent on the USA. You should never put that much faith and trust in just one country.

Don't let one rehearsed speech speak to Trudeau's competency as a leader. This wind bag has single handedly destroyed our Country in the past 10years. These tarrifs could have been avoided if his cabinet could have reached a deal and good diplomacy. I have zero confidence with Trudeau and his liberal party they can navigate any turbulent waters with Trump at the helm. Federal election cant come soon enough.

One thing Trudeau is good at is talking. Eloquent words and well said, unfortunately words will not put food on my table. However, again, that was a very very nice speech.

As an American, I really liked Trudeau's speech. I thought he did a great job explaining everything and responding to this situation. I appreciate his words to the American people. There's just one thing he said that was inaccurate... trump is NOT a smart guy!!

Trudeau is far from perfect. He has done some stupid stuff during his time as PM and before he was PM. But I will never doubt his love for Canada and appreciate him standing up to the Trump Administration. Yes, of course he has a speech writer. The speech of Mr Trudeau, the way Canadians have shown solidarity for one another, today it all puts my country, The US, to shame. I am ashamed of what my government is doing and I am disgusted with the people doing it. In Mr Trump’s first term, as eclipsed as they were by the many many many actions and attitudes he imposed on us that embarrassed and hurt us as a country, there was the rare occasional decision I could at least understand even if I did not support it. Since taking office literally not one thing he has done has made sense to me as an American. I can only say how sorry I am for what the country I love is being used to do to you all, especially our closest allies and friends and in particular the people of Canada today. I grew up in Commerce Twp Michigan. I visited Canada regularly and, even as crime from Detroit poured across the border into Canada, Canadians always treated us with respect and welcome. I never imagined that would stop but now I find it hard to imagine how it might continue and it breaks my heart.
