You know… I couldn’t really afford to buy food and survive before the tariffs anyways. That’s why I’m getting sicker and not better. Seniors and disabled Canadians couldn’t survive on $400 or less a month, with regular pricing. Canada needs more strict visa requirements. The. Fact you can just come on visitor visa or study visa and stay most international students don’t even show up for school. Canada needs to stop giving out visas like it’s Halloween Candy. 500,000 international students went missing they came into Canada were supposed to go back after there end date and went missing . The system is broken . Many get a visa to study or get a tourist visa and DONT LEAVE. They are mostly staying with relatives that are Canadian. And they work in cash . In case anyone is wondering why so many Indians are trying to flee Canada here it is. Under Trudeau and the liberal government Canada was basically giving a free pass to anyone who wants to come to Canada through colleges and universities, if you get into a Canadian school, you can get a study permit (which also allows you to work for 20h a week). Additionally after the schooling you are given a guaranteed work permit for the same duration as the schooling (if you went to school 2 years you get a 2 year permit, 4 years you get a 4 year permit, ect.) A Canada and immigration agencies (for some reason) basically advertised this to India as a guaranteed way to get permanent residence in Canada. Canadians hated the massive flood of people coming into Canada (about a million a year at its peak, which for a smaller country like canada is equivalent to 10 million people coming into the USA every year). This is really unpopular with voters of course (in part because of the housing, food, and low skill work shortages it created), and the next Canadian election is this year. So the conservative government has vowed to massivly decrease the number of immigrants coming into Canada and the Liberal government knowing that this can be used against them in the next election is decreasing the amount of PR cards they are given (like a Canadian green card) as well as the people they are letting in in total. Now as the (mostly Indian) immigrants work permits expire and they will soon be kicked out of the country or no longer legally be allowed to work, they are fleeing to NYC to try to take advantage of the sanctuary city (something that does not exist in Canada).

The commentary here sounds so much like U.S. citizens griping, it's almost funny, but also sad. You did a service by presenting that report. However you really missed the mark on this report about Brampton... in many many ways. You need to do more research, you can't 'lead' your interviewee's, and you have to provide information, facts. There were all kinds of directions you could have gone with the comment provided by the people you spoke to, there were all kinds of facts that you could have brought to the table. There IS perhaps a story there, but you didn't find one worth telling. It looks like you're really dedicated to this pursuit of reporting, and it it looks like you're a one man team... this work is hard to do, you should consider getting some help 'putting dots together' and creating your presentations.

We really don't know all the details, or what their records were, or how they came to be here. It's hard to completely judge the matter because they're not giving us all the facts. Just wait a second, here’s an idea why don’t we as a nation stop welfare start eliminating it slowly get the people off the system get them to work, replace the workers with a lower paying jobs and give them an up grade to a higher paying job with the necessary skills they need to get a higher paying job, and so on let’s get Canadian people back to work. Let’s start looking after Canadians first, really Canadians be self sufficient not reliant on other countries just saying

The racism goes both ways. I grew up feeling disrespected and mistreated by them (not all of them but a LOT of them). I try to be respectful and give everyone a fair chance, but it's really difficult when they are constantly being rude when I interact with them, or giving me death glares... like what did I even do?? I have been bullied by them in the workplace, and made fun of by them out in public. And for NO reason. I try so hard to be nice, but it's clear that so many of them hate me before I even open my mouth. I know a handful of them that are really awesome people though... but they respect the culture here in canada, and they treat all people like actual people.

They should no English before become USA and the y should give them the test in English if they really want to come and learn English before they decide to become a USA

A lot of Indians treat white people really badly. Especially when there is money involved. It’s now extremely common that people here hate dealing with Indians as customers of their business and will go as far as avoid it altogether. They will often relentlessly try to negotiate services, lie and say anything to get get their way, pester businesses until they cave to their demands and even leave bad reviews which they say they will change if you give them a good deal. None of this is the way things are done in Canada and that needs to be respected. Something kind of funny, I’ve heard many people say that Indians will often say they will refer tons of friends and family to a business if you give them an unreasonable discount (which they never do once they’ve gotten what they want), but what they don’t realize is that referring a bunch more Indians to them is the last thing that business wants. And really, some of the discounts they want on things are just ridiculous. When I was selling my car a few years ago, I had it listed for $55,000 and I got bombarded by Indians offering $20,000-$25,000 and every lie under the sun of why that’s all it was worth, other people are saying yes to offers like that for the same car, dealerships are selling them for that much and so on. Like come on. And I guess while I’m at it, I hate to say but it’s a common thing here to walk into a gas station and the smell of body odour just hits you like a brick. I’ve stopped going to 3 different stations because of it. I’m sure there’s some pungent white people out there but damn. This is on a whole other level. It literally fills the entire building.

Many people think that because they think that they are cleaver enough to circumvent visa interviews, falsify documents required to impress foreign embassy staff, get visa on false pretenses because they have money, connections in domestic government or someone overseas to curry favor them, then no wonder your visa application would be rejected and fees forfeited or you would be turned down entry to your dream country on arrival and deported back to your home country. People even dare to charter a flight to Maxico with a plan to cross the border and into USA, like a flash mob, without a visa. Well you don’t have entitlement for that, just like you don’t like Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Rohingya crossing your borders by any means.\nHow many Indian agents have befooled fellow Indians who want to go and work in UAE, Behrin, Muscat, Qatar, Oman, Jordan and Saudi Arabia but landed on one of the beaches of India or have their Passport taken away to make them work like a slave in servitude by their fellow Indian contractors? Let us talk about that.\nLet us talk about how many Indian parents and students so foolish to see admission in universities or unaccredited fake colleges in Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Russia and Russian federation countries but no serious intention to study but intention not to return but figure out magic trick to PR and citizenship without really caring to understand how immigration works and what would actually qualify to deserve immigration visa? Sham marriages is one of many tricks that people pursue despite knowing that chances of success are really very remote. Let us talk about that.\n\nLet us talk about fake colleges that “donations” to admit “students” who failed to perform because their parents have money to justify entitlement to buy degrees and fake colleges print it out in return to “donations”?\n\nIt doesn’t end here. You get to these destinations by hook or crook, you eventually get busted, yet you have nerves to be cocky, pretend to be robbed, discriminated, cheated, victimized instead and gather nerve to seek PR, green card, white card as compensation and even a job? I mean how far you would go thinking world is stupid and you can prove it.\n\nSORRY, there are hard working, intelligent and qualified Indians that get visa and there are people who get visa on family migration quota for example but many others, give me a break.

Improve trade and cut H4 visas for US as i have no idea on other countries. H4 visa housewives will really depressed in a country like US. because of depression crime rate will be more.? sometimes you wont have any indian friends near by even it has more indian immigrants. Give jobs to indians who are living there for generations. They must have contributed tons of inputs larger foreign trade income etc... Ask their inputs and India should make policies supportive or non supportive to indians. Dont send indians. They will suffer. As a indian we are nice people. help if you see any indians suffering in foreign countries. Please give help line to come back home . lot of movies you see in india shows immigrant suffering. those are all true. dont go unless you are rich and have billions of dollars. Increase jobs/ Salary/ skill training here. also improve immigration policies on other countries where indian immigrants is less. lot of foreign countries have worst weather. In those areas indians can Work from home. india should support WFH.?

I think the rabid immigration should stop as it will damage Indias reputation even more especially with the quality of people who are going abroad. The countries who give them visas are fully aware that there are universities that earn them forex but this could be really damaging to their countries. What happened in Canada is of course an extreme case and other countries can probably learn from it \n\nAlso India should restrict exit and not give out loans to people who do not intend to return. That will also help curb some of the illegal exits.
