Perhaps its time for us to speak up and get the media to listen to employees instead of the ultra-wealthy so we can become efficient and well rested like many European labor forces, and not become the next Japan which seems to ignore employee needs.\n\nLet's give workers 5 or so weeks of actual time off as in Europe to prevent chronic burnout so we can keep up their productivity. My friend who lived in canada for 14 years. His wife get pregnant and they could not get appointment to see doctor untill 8 to 9 weeks waiting. One time they went for emergency and waiting time was 43 hours. Seriously, Canada have poorest healthcare systen. He clearly said that he did biggest mistake to moved in canada 14 years back. few points are absolutely wrong-\nCanada provides one time post graduation work permit(PGWP) only once after completion of study..They never promised to any international students to give PR or Citizenship but Canada gives you time to establish your comprehensive ranking score in order to get the permanent residency but these students who are protesting could not fit in that criteria, Thats why they are looking for the extension in their work permits which makes no sense actually.A fun fact a lot students can't talk in English here bcuz they hardly study or learn some skill. Your language proficiency is one of the main criteria to get jobs and later to get your PR here.\nCanada didnt promise that. Live in toronto, all the above issues mentioned are 100% correct. My wife cut her finger last week, and the cut was really deep. She got 4 stitches. she had to sit for almost 2 hours covering her wound with paper towel, to see the doctor. Plus immigration will get very difficult in coming years in canada. If you know french then you will have chances. And houses which are just made up of wood should not be this costly. I work as database developer and i get paid good for now, but jobs are also not guaranteed and scares. Its crappy, I'm at the point in my life where me and my fiancée are making more money then we ever have, but its going no where. We need immigrants, we do not need this much. I go on tiktok and there are tutorials for people coming into this country on how to obtain free food, like from food banks and what not, spite the fact we have minimum funding requirements for students coming here. It sucks, because the minimum isn't high enough for somebody to actually live off, and its taking food away from desperate Canadians who really need it. Some of my best friends are immigrants, and it sucks to try to speak up about it, only to be bashed as a bigot or xenophobic. I'm not either of those things, we just have a HUGE issue caused by a massive influx of people. Its not the people's fault, its the failure of our government. My rent for a 2bd apartment in 2014 was $770 all included, Grocery bill was about 170 every two weeks. (about 2-3x) Its crazy to think when I was making 8-10 dollars less an hour, I had more money, it went MUCH further.

They all immigrate to PEI because it is the quickest way to seek citizenship in the country, as soon as they gain it they move to Ontario. I have met many wonderful people from India through work and because of our government choosing to allow so many people over here without providing proper housing for not only the new immigrants, but also for our own native born citizens, there is nothing available at any decent price for young people like myself who want to move out from their parents homes. It's also causing a lot of people to be racist towards Indians when the fault truly lies in our government. And because we are allowing so many people over here without proper background checks and things such as that we are also allowing people over here that could pose a threat to women or others. I had a cab driver last week (who was from India) who tried to hit on me and told me he left India because he was getting into too many physical fights over in India and also told me he had gotten into physical fights with some of his customers as well. It was scary for me as a woman to be in a car with that man who was taking me to my home. The government needs to do better for us. We feel alone and ignored when it comes to this. The greed pushing this stupid, and not properly thought out, immigration policy needs to be put to an end so that the people who have lived here their whole lives can get a chance at life.

I’m also from Canada, everything stated is very true. Education is not that great as compared to what fees we pay, think again before coming. Job currently isn’t available. Part time is also hard. In part time, you will earn to complete your housing and accommodation allowance but will not able to collect for your college fees. Just count it yourself, $17.5 per hour is minimum wage and for 24 hours per week. Also minus taxes from it. If you are planning somewhere near Toronto or Vancouver, please stay way. You can try going New Brunswick either. It’s cheaper as compared.\n\nHowever, did you notice something about all the commonwealth countries, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, etc etc. they all are facing the same problem. So, hold on your horses. Research before going. People do go different countries, might be Japan, and other countries. UK is no different - it is also having similar issues as Canada. In fact I'm moving back from the UK next week after living here for 3.5 years. UK once used to be called the golden empire (even post colonialism) and it used to be a very promising, stable and prosperous land - not anymore. India is genuinely at a sweet spot right now - if we play our cards well for the next 3-4 decades (1-2 generations), the entire game will change! And I have personally worked in the NHS and I can certify that all those waiting lines and decreasing quality of care etc. is all true.

It took me 12 hrs just to do normal reports in canada , and the normal clinic took 2 weeks just to give the results. And got my dr. Appointment after 2 months so, my parents were really worried and they immediately called me off to India and i ensure you that just after coming back in just one day my biopsy was done and results came in just 3 days . I would say India has the overall better & dynamic healthcare system. Comparing to healthcare facilities in western nation, in India the waiting time to consult a specialist, even a super-specialist is too too low, maximum a week waiting time. Easy accessible, low waiting times also associated with few cons like, people don't respect the doctors, healthcare system. The prime example is rising trend of abuse and physical assault to doctors in India which is hardly seen in any western countries. Nowadays Central govt funded Ayushman Bharat and many state funded universal health care schemes/ insurances also benefiting the patients, giving them access to get treatment in top private hospital without paying from own pocket. Indian healthcare is not perfect, may not the best but its towards better and bent towards the affordability.

My Brother came from Vancouver to India last week because he had a leg injury. He could pay 1.5 lakh flight ticket and get medical treatment here in India rather than Canada lol.
