Before you deported anyone back to their origin, you need to negotiate seriously to benefic both side. You cannot flex your muscles and expect they bound-down to you without seeing that they will get some kind of benefits. The deportations may end up costing the U S billions if all the Central and South America Continent refuse to accept the deportees. All flights end up go back to the U S with full migrants on the planes.

Americans can live without Colombian bananas and other tropical fruits if they are the only goods exported to the US. There's Ecuador and Costa Rica for cheap bananas and tropical fruits from elsewhere.

I don't agree with indiscriminate wholesale deportation without considering a whole host of factors and repercussions, but if the deportees are already arrested for a crime, the President of Columbia has no business telling the U.S. not to treat criminals as criminals.
