If a person is able to serve and wants to serve they should be allowed

As a combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, multiple times, I completely agree with the president’s anti-trans policy in the military. Soldiers have a hard enough job as it is much less stacking on some DEI nonsense. That’s only gonna take time away from their training and ultimately DEI is going to 100% negatively affect the mission and their safety. Of personally over a 10 year period served with a couple gay and lesbian Service members and never once was what they did in the privacy of their own bedroom ever an issue or counter to the mission but this new age woke DEI nonsense is completely counterproductive, dangerous, And disrespectful to the non-DEI service members. The simple act of picking an unqualified, military leader, who’s responsible for the care and lives solely on the gender, ethnicity, religion, or pronoun, and not on merit, experience, competency, or any of the other real requirements for a military leader is literally the most irresponsible, dangerous, and disrespectful thing you can do to the men and women who have literally dedicated their life for years in service of our country! There’s absolutely no excuse on this planet that would make it ok. Being a service member in combat is already the most stressful job on the planet, but to make them take their focus off of the immediate threat to focus on political correctness or someone’s magical mystery pronoun while trying to prioritize and mitigate threats and combat is the most asinine and literally dangerous Nonsense I’ve ever heard!??????

Never heard of Vets for American and I have been a vet since 78. We do not need a social experiment in the military. I have seen so many people leave the military because of DEI programs and the embarrassment of trans people and the demands they make, their words. All I hear from this person is me and I, words that indicate an individual and not a team member. Who will follow a leader that they have no respect for ruins the team and fails the mission.

Recruitment is not down because transgender people/DEI is not allowed. It is down because the opposite is happening. DEI/Alphabet people are being shoed into places where they do not belong over more qualified other people. This process of putting less qualified people into positions endangers everyone else. Just like female lesbian firefighters in LA who are not strong enough to carry a person to safety think this is the fault of the victims they might encounter and not be able to save. This lowers morale and affects recruitment. If a transistor can meet the current requirements, they should be allowed to finish their time, but nobody else gets a free pass.

I mean I have mixed feelings about the trans movement. But here is how I feel about this subject and always have. There needs to be one standard. It needs to be the highest standard in the world. and if any man, women, or trans person can't hack it then they do not serve. If they can hold up to the standards they should serve. I am a veteran that serve with a group of people in the Navy that demanded the highest standards. I would serve with man, woman, or trans person that can pull their weight. It is their country. Let them serve if they wish.

I believe it is possible for a trans person to be an excellent soldier. However, just by playing the odds, it's more likely they will have some manner of emotional or psychological issue just based off of trans suicide rates and the amount of people trying to switch back.

If they dont meet the medicial standard how did this person manage to become a navy commander.. doesnt even make any sense since thats an incredible acomplishment physically and mentally.

Was all 20 years of “her” service as a transgender, if not, then her case has no ground to stand on, because its even worse for the soldiers around “her” to have to deal with that shit. No place for transgenders in the military, cause now they’re asking to be included, next they’ll be crying about their own toilettes and barracks and everything else. All soldiers left their life behind to be part of the military, and they wanna allow this. Dont care how good they are suppose to be, they are a distraction, and the military is the last place you want people distracted. They dont have so many transgender troops that it will take decades to fill their place, STOP WITH THE BS. 1 person being successful, mainly because of what they did before the transition, does not make “her” proof that its not a problem. Thats like in the middle of corona and i stand there and say “corona isnt a problem look at me, im healthy” while other people are dying. 1 person can equal proof or can equal an anomaly.
