Many organizations have a culture of meek compliance to rules, which may not make sense. Most Canadians try to avoid standing out, and standing out is likely to be seen by your boss and peers as threatening. No one wants to rock the boat.\n\nThese rules and expectations may differ substantially according to the politics and beliefs of the employer. But the veneer of handling things in a highly compliant and pleasant way is always there, with a hidden expectation that you will speak positively about the biases of your boss or owner. In other words, the common factor is that bosses often have fragile egos or are afraid of anything that challenges the status quo. This harms critical thinkers and innovators who often leave to the US or China, but also immigrants who have even larger barriers to working within the status quo. \n\nEven among better bosses I have had, I notice this tendency towards intense discomfort with ideas that come from outside of their direct experience. Though at least with my current boss and one other I had in the past, there is an intellectual curiosity and empathy which helps them gradually open up to unfamiliar things (and they're just awesome people in general). But I still notice this bias sometimes. It's definitely cultural.

The time has come to hold accountable a crazy prosecutor who is running around trying to catch former President Donald, a DA who enjoys invading the border, and Biden who is turning the country into a chaotic hell. A civil war-like tragedy is occurring every day in the United States due to these three incompetent people who stand above the law. Citizens and upright politicians, the time has come to stand up and make things right. My understanding is that Hamas hides their military bases underneath civilian areas and discourages them from leaving even after Israel gives weeks of warning and texts maps to people, that their aim is incredibly directed and specific and nothing like the mindless brutality of Oct 7th. By the way, there WAS a ceasefire and Hamas broke it. It's astonishing to me that after such a brutal attack that people would be pleading with the victims to stand down.

The economic situation int the whole world is still worse and getting worser. If people alredy settled to cannada with their family for some time and already build their life, they should face the situation. for such a group of people it´s still not easy to leave and rebuild theier life again. It need much ressources and flexibility. especially for families. For those who stand allone, there are also no guarantue that it brings satisfaction. every country has his pro and cons. So it´s not an easy decision for everybody. So think of the pros and cons of the destination first, before leaving.

It stands to reason that being a Muslim has to be easier in a Muslim country. Multiculturalism has been tried for several decades in many if not all western countries and has never really worked and it’s not getting better, if anything it is becoming more problematic. Maybe it would be better for everyone to start returning people who don’t believe in western values, benefits, freedoms and opportunities, to places where they have the same belief system.

I have to ask are you giving up your Canadian citizenship? And I have to tell you I bet you are going to keep it. And although I agree with some things eg: the extreme stance and slide into extreme liberalism, your move is one extreme to the other, and despite the cancel culture here it still stands for real freedom when compared to the middle east. So please do us a favor and if war breaks out where you are going to, please do not ask the Canadian people and government (like so many islamic homesick have in the past) to rescue you at the monetary expense and potential risk to our Canadian men and womens lives- that would be so insulting not to mention hypocritical and Canadians take note of such things and they don't forget. I lived in Pakistan for 5 years for medical school. As much as I appreciated it, I knew I could not settle there. You will appreciate all the little things once you move. You can get ripped off by utilities company over there. Unless you know someone in power you don’t stand a chance. The inflation there is much higher than here. Some days you can’t find any meat or other foods. Almost everyone is trying to rip you off. Also safety is an issue. I was young and dumb. I was never targeted but it happens to locals all the time. As a westerner they can spot you a mile away even if you dress like them. You’re complaining about the cold, wait till you feel the heat. Electricity goes out all the time. You need to know people and have family in these countries. You can’t get things done independently like you can in the west. Also there are very few jobs that allow for the standard of living you are used to. If you are willing to sacrifice 90% of what you have now then you might have a chance. Lastly, you will most likely have to put your children in an American school when you get there because they don’t speak the language and they will act like westerners. And hide your wife from YouTube for God’s sake. If you had a billion dollars would you broadcast it to the world?

What are your efforts to get Palestinian people in peace and protection, to get them out of blockade, to stop the killing of the innocent lives mercilessly, to stop all and every type of torture given to them, do mention your efforts to have them access to clean water food and medications? Are your efforts only limited to the celebrations and festivities happening in the Arab world? The concerns from American singers enjoying dancing and drinking??? Where are standing? Can’t see none

Hi Alina, If you can stand the quietness, relaxed lifestyle, cold weather , cheaper rent, and friendly people, live in the maritimes, Manitoba or Saskatchewan. There is a share of rude people (more like drivers)in Calgary and Toronto. Both are still considered fast-paced!\nPeople in Calgary used to be very friendly in the 90s, not as friendly anymore! No where in Canada is perfect though.\nI will really choose Lethbridge and Medicine Hat over Calgary or Edmonton. Calgary is getting more busy and people more in a rush!

If a country opens its borders to Palestinian refugees, they facilitate Israel’s objective of flattering Gaza and ethically cleansing the land to allow for further expansion and illegal settlement. Israel want to get rid of Palestine and all its people, chasing them out and killing those who are too slow. By standing their ground, the Arab world are forcing the west to see what they have supported and see what Israel are doing and encouraging them to change and to act and to stop the genocide. But it is also at the expense of tens of thousands of lives and an entire nations facilities. The Arab world are letting the bodies pile high until the west can't look away any more. I understand both sides of this and dislike both options, letting Palestinians die, and letting Israel take Gaza by accepting refugees. I can't say I support Saudi Arabias actions, but I also would feel the same if they opened their doors to refugees. Neither one are the right solution, and only we westerners can make this stop. I am an American Pagan but I have many Hijabi friends and I have always strongly upheld that I will catch an assault charge to protect a Muslima who is attacked/exposed in a hate crime. I don't support any war but I stand for personal protection and the right for people to practice any religion they choose.

As a native Canadian I totally understand your stand on winter and inflation. As a native Canadian I think we don't inform immigrants and outsiders that winter climate does to alot of people. There is a seasonal affective disorder (very prevelent) in my father's family and even my mother unfailing optimism get's like you fatigue at the very least. Kids love winter but yes as a adult or even a teen many people retreat and feel isolated. As for inflation, I do hope you find a country where the gouvernement(s) aren't denying the insanity that is going on. To be honest, after centuries of being a Quebec native, I have fantasized very heavily about moving myself because even with a good salary things each year since Covid-19 have become just terribly expensive and it affect primarily basic shelter and food needs. It's absurd! Good luck on your way settling where ever you will!

Just remember wherever you guys pick make sure that they speak the same dialect that you do otherwise you're going to have that learning curve of learning their dialects. It is different in a lot of places like learning to speak like the yemeni do is different than the Pakistani. So just keep that in mind. My grandfather is from Yemen and his wife who is my grandmother and my dad's side is from sudan. And they used to tell me it took them a while to understand each other. My Syrian grandmother on my mom's side would teach me words and phrases and my grandpa who was from Yemen would always make fun of me because I wasn't saying stuff right. I'm not really good at speaking Arabic but I can get by so just remember when you guys are picking somewhere to pick a place that won't be that hard to understand people. I'm only saying that because with the kids you guys send the kids to school they may learn a different dialect than what you taught at home and it will be a learning curve for them to try to understand. But I'm sure you guys will make the right decision. I just figured I would throw that in there I'm sure you already know that the dialects are a lot different and Arabic is a lot different in different parts of the world. People think Arabic is all the same and it's really different. Just like people who speak Spanish in South America speak different dialects on the Puerto Ricans just like people in Brazil don't speak Spanish they speak portuguese. Just a thing to think about. Egypt seems to be a pretty good place I have family that live in Egypt and they really liked it but I'm sure you guys will pick a place that's wonderful for your family and I can't wait till you guys know when we can see everything that you guys are doing in your new home Korean and I totally understand I am so upset the United States took the stand that they did with the genocide in Gaza and in the occupied West bank. People don't understand exactly what's going on there they don't know if they're not really up on current events and don't have any people in their family who are from a Muslim country they don't really know what's been going on. British people stand up for your own law

#3 was the biggest one (imo) that made me think. I can't imagine what it's like to have to live day to day with those worries and fears about yourself AND your children. As a mother of 3 myself, there is already so much to worry about when it comes to our children, without the added fear of visible religion being added to that. I have never once thought about what it would be like, if I was raised in a religion where it was visible to others, how that would have impacted me, nor have I ever passed a thought as a parent. And for that, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you have to live with those worries and fears each day. I'm sorry that people of Muslim religion are bullied and targeted on a daily basis. I'm sorry that a few bad eggs, have marked the beautiful people. I may not be Muslim, but I would gladly step in and stand up for a Muslim (or anyone tbh) who was being victimised because of their religion. I truly hope your children never become victims, and I truly hope that y'all are able to find a place with Sandy beaches, lots of sun, a wonderful Muslim community with plenty of free space to worship how and when you need to freely, and the feeling of safety for you both and your beautiful children.

MashaAllah, u guys r such an amazing couples and parents. I know this is not an easy decision, but Allah is with u and I really stand and look up to u. Every parent knows what is best for their children and families. I live in Pakistan 2. Me and my brother were born in US to Pakistani parents. My mom didn't want to leave US but my dad said there is no religious environment there plus our whole family lives in Pakistan and didn't want us to grow there. Our apartment owner who was Christian was not letting us go. He said that u guys r such an amazing people, good Muslims, nice to everyone and take Care for everyone. It was really hard for both of my parents but Allah made it easy for us. My mom passed away when I was 18 and my brother 15 and I really miss her. My option is u can guys move to Pakistan. U can get Islamic education + Islamic environment. No matter how bad our politics, government doesn't care about Its own country and no cleanliness but I still love Pakistan. I really respect you guys for making such a hardest decision with strength. I really support you guys with this decision. Just don't mind I was just giving an advice that Pakistan is way better but it is totally up to u guys which country u like to make your better life. But where ever u guys go, u are all always in my prayers even our brothers and sisters in Gaza. Arab countries care about Muslim people but just enough to send help and aid not enough to take them as refugees in their wonderfully developed countries which is perfectly fine. Only if The Europe had taken the same stand they would not be struggling with so many issues associated with refugees!!
