As a former immigrant who has been a Canadian citizen for over 40 years I am mindful that too many immigrants get into the country too easily - not like in my time when I had to actually qualify to come here. We, the older generation (including immigrants), helped to build Canada, but the newcomers just come here to take what they can. There are too many new immigrants who should not be here in the first place, and they have no intention of assimilating. What a mess!\nI have to ask you a question, though. the problem is we accommodated them since the beginning...we helped them because of wars in their countries....but they were never grateful and they never wanted to assimilate to their new country. WE NEED to change that. if they are not happy go back home.
