As a born and raised Canadian. I am considering moving to the states, Canada is a sinking ship and there is no sign of things getting any better. The only thing stopping me right now is the crime rate. Crime is MUCH higher in the states.

Hope everything works out in the next few decades that Canada doesn't loose out on these advantages through poor planning and policies. I cringe when I see Canadian politics going the opposite way, slander ads and such, not a good sign.

We have access to firearms in canada as well, but a very regulated background check and any sign of problems (misuse, violence, threats mental health problems that indicates self harm or harm of others) results in loss of the right to own. We have had a large uptake in mass shootings since 2000, but the total number in canadian history still sits around 70. The us has had about 5 times in the first six months of 2023 than all of canadian history.

I have to join the many people who have responded and will also say no to the question. I last visited the US 4 years ago when I drove through upper Michigan to northern Wisconsin. The scenery was delightful and the people in the small communities were wonderful. What really scared me was all the billboard signs advertising guns in Michigan. I was very aware of my driving and tried not to do anything that might annoy someone and cause road rage. That is so unfortunate that you have to worry about the driver next to you. I have not been back to the US since and do not plan on any future visits even though I would dearly love to take my camper to the many beautiful, natural parks your country has.

My visits to the U.S. have always been positive experiences. Always. But, when you see signs in malls (outside of Macey's at the Mall of America) to keep your guns locked in your cars and not bring them into the mall...well!!! So many reasons to not leave Canada. I've been a caregiver for over 40 years and I just love it, but recently, I've been seeing a few people, including the HR Department and the people who hired me, try to surprise me bye popping up and the client was very upset because they didn't want to listen to her and a employee that was working with me,I wasn't aware of the problem situation that was going on, so basically I was set up with them saying that I wasn't taking care of the client honestly the client told them I've been helping them the most the employee said that I wasn't changing the client,,and I noticed that the trash Bin was being opened and I bought it attention to the client and she said be careful with the company and the co-worker that is working with us is lying on. Me and I brought it up to my supervisor and then she said that someone had said that I wasn't changing her underwear and she the client said that she would let the boss know but she came back from told me that I wasn't able to continue to work for them and I asked them why they said someone was coming from Africa to join their company and I Said that I'm not going to signing anything that is a lie ...

I visited Canada about ten years ago, (Toronto, and Niagara Falls) and I didn't see any signs of racism, AT ALL! As a matter of fact, everyone we encountered was very friendly, overly friendly when they knew we were from the States, it was quiet, didn't even hear police sirens not once while there, it was peaceful and quiet, and the city pretty much shut down after ten, maybe this was only there, I don't know.

My family waited ten whole years for paperwork’s and an interview, we did everything possible to save money and lived frugally as possible. All of these points are subjective. I think the point system you used and the subjects you talked about are biased. I would have given the USA a point for innovation and job opportunity. There is more opportunities, because more companies choose the USA. We have a higher population so even thought there is more job opportunities in the USA, it is also very competitive. Your video gave a point to Canada for vacation and maternity leave rather than innovation and job opportunities. A lawyer in the USA has a better chance of practicing law than a Canadian lawyer. You gave a point to Canada for healthcare because of life expectancy. However I’d still give a point to the USA for healthcare. The life expectancy is a separate subject. The life expectancy is lower in the USA because of what we eat here. I would give a point to Canada for healthier food.
