I have mixed feelings about this. I feel like a total first letter of the alphabet-hole for not thinking of helping right away. When I lived in San Diego, it was a palpable daily reminder. Lots of people have cross-border lives. Family, work, home is on either side of the border. Now living up in Washington State, it's different. Here the border with Canada is all about preventing Canadians from stealing technology from us while allowing them to work for us. Some partners who come visit us often times get searched for technology. Like pen drives, samples, etc. It's a totally different story. Canada probably has less homeless than all of south America. It's an easy claim because literally, if you can't insulate your self in winter you go visit the great gardener Jesus and his weirdo multipersonality disorder. In south America, you just need to eat and not get eaten by things. So the result is that people survive way below the poverty line. Then, the big lie tells them that the US is better so they come over to eventually learn how the others found the three headed gardener the hard way. I feel like maybe if they got a tour of the country and learned how shitty it is to live here too, they might think twice about coming over. There are periods and ways when the US opens it's borders but it's looking like a real shit show right now. We don't have enough jobs and not enough houses to house everyone. At least in south America you can live in the family house and no one bats an eye. People help each other in poverty.

We already can't rent.. We need a looooot of free rental units to create a good offer & demand balance not xtra people.. Everything is in demand .Make them serve Canada ? with obligatory military service . They can be deserving, Build their entry housing & whatever we may need . I think you need to be a gift ? to get everything we have to offer. A lot of people live in worst conditions or in poorer countries worldwide. Lets be real ! We can't catter to the whole world. Refugees or future applicants could work in building housing / complexes or whatever our society needs. ?One day they actually will need thigs we don't have for them or us anymore yup ( HOUSING , HOSPITALS, SCHOOLS, INFRASTRUCTURES, JOBS) ?KEEP THEM AWAY SO WE DONT SUFFER UNTIL WE ARE *READY TO WELCOME ANYONE*

I was born in Canada, and lived to see the change from traditional values to this mess...\n\n1 - homelessness\nthe rents and other things went up, and welfare does nt match it. even minimum wage does nt cover it in some cases, \nit s a given that you will finish on the sidewalk, and that does that many will turn to drinking and drugs.\nit will not last long however, as winter comes and there are nt enough shelters, so they conveniently die.\nyou could invest billions, it will not help if you have bad management, you have to dig deeper...\n\n2 - racism\nit s a bit of a backward country in that sense, many rural areas were very late in receiving immigrants,\nso they re not used to see diversity, unlike the US lets say, so there are parts of the country where acceptation\nwill be low, they will discriminate and gossip for sure, but it s more backward as it is racism.\nin time, when they get to know you, it goes away, and they realise how dumb they were.\nI live in Quebec, and you can blame feminism for that, they see Muslims as a symbol of patriarchy and feel threatened.\n\n3 - medical\nit s been like that since about the 90s, again, bad management made the system crash for some reason.\nI admit that I m not sure of what happened exactly there, not enough doctors for sure.\nmaybe it has to do with income, as they can get more revenue in the US or elsewhere.\nI suspect that hospitals s management - administration is too slow and crowded, but I m no expert.\n\n4 - technology\nyeah, well, it s expensive here, cell contracts, internet, probably because of distance, but I suspect\nthat we re being cheated a little too, and since again, we re a bit backward, we re used to the old methods.\nwe re not fast to adopt new trends or fashion either, it s very traditional here mostly.\n\n5 - taxes\nwe have federal and provincial taxes, plus purchase taxes, so yeah, we pay a lot of them.\nexactly, it can vary from 30 - 60% for sure, overtime does nt pay that much, 2 nd jobs can build you a big bill.\nyou re better to save on expenses than trying to earn more, you have to be cheap.\n\n6 - Canadian experience\nI m born here, but I heard of many stories about immigrants s credentials not fitting the local standards.\nin some cases, it sounds ridiculous, and closed minded, not accepting outside concepts and ideas.\nI did nt know about speaking English, but I sure know about French in Quebec...\nhere, it s very insecure about the language, almost paranoid, without speaking French, you will have many troubles.\nagain, it s mostly about bad management, and rules and mentality that self sabotage.\n\n7 - housing\nlike mentioned before, the real estate in general has jumped tremendously.\nI m no financier expert, but an overview of economy tells me that banks compete between countries,\nand they will recourse on artificially inflating the value of real estate, and that plainly kills people.\nthis is the main reason of the homelessness you see on the streets.\nyeah, the soundproofing is quite poor, and some very old buildings can cost a lot in heating.\n\n8 - well, crime is on the rise, and citizens supporting the law and public safety is not very encouraged by the system in place.\nin some way, you re better to shut up than supporting the police... this has to change!\n\n9 - the social services are biased, and impose their vision if you want help.\n\n10 - the mental health policy is too wide, and makes you ill instead of helping.\n\n11 - the pharmaceutical companies are too influencing, and make people sick instead of helping.\n\n12 - the food regulation is lacking, it is not strict enough, allowing chemicals, gmo, and radiation.\n\n13 - feminism is almost radical, especially in Quebec, they segregate genders, and dividing us, it makes the country weak.\n\notherwise, you pretty much covered it well.\n\ngood work sissses.

Canada is nice, until you speak out against the alphabet mafia. Vancouver was beautiful when I visited a couple years ago and now it's ruined thanks to fentanyl and thanks to useless politicians that refuse to clean the streets. Learn the hard way then. I live in the Bay in California and it's a mess thanks to libs dem policies where criminals have no real consequences for their actions. Water here is perfectly fine imo and I don't need a car to get good food

I wish I had watched this video before moving here. Everything you mentioned is true. We pay an insanely amount of taxes so homeless and drug addicts can have drugs and live in beautiful new buildings only to die from an overdose. There are not real programs to help them which is sad plus the healthcare system is trash. The housing situation is absurd, getting worst by the minute, so expensive. I regret moving here so bad.

So where are all these (unwanted) newcomers going to live or get healthcare? Unless they are single they are a drain especially when they bring their whole families and that makes infrastructure worse.. A lot of shady money laundering in our real estate..

Lived in Canada all my life. Love it. But,,, there is no future here. High taxes, poor government,, low wags, racism is a huge problem, and its not just white peoples. The immigrants can be super racist also. All this crap that Canadians are polite is not real. Its called passive aggression. When a Canadian says sorry if you bump into them in the store ,, they are being sarcastic! “Sorry you are an idiot and made me apologize to you eh!?” We are not nearly as nice as people think. The health care system here is trash! And will never improve. And its NOT free! Canadians get the tar taxed out of them their entire lives! Every single move one makes is taxed! Tax on tax on tax. This pays for our crappy health care. And not so good education system. People here including immigrants, not just white people, can be very racist. Quebec is a particularly racist province! They seem to dislike EVERYONE unless you are french Canadian.

I agree that America has lots of unsafe pockets. But at the same time I don’t get immigrants,who come from countries that are so dangerous and impoverished to the point where you qualify for refugee status, and talk about Americas safety. Your country has real life pirates, Sir.

Ok racism definitely exists, and the doctors are hard to get, mostly we welcome immigrants, homelessness and drug use enabling is real, but most of the other problems aren’t that big compared to other places honestly. I always feel privileged to live here because I’d trade other things other countries have for free health care s thousand times over. I do feel bad for people that struggle and have to use their life savings for one surgery for example or spend $2000.00 to have a baby in the hospital. I lived in the states for awhile when I was young as well. I remember a white racist lady pointed a rifle at me and my black friend in Missouri when I was 6 years old, here I don’t have to worry about that happening to my kindergartener.

I agree, I was born and raised here, unless you speak the language, have a good education, its puts you behind the 8 ball if you want to stay here. Why? Because the cost of living is too high, Why? Because our gov. let foreign powers come into out country and flip our real estate to make fast profits and that drives up the rents and costs of housing to the point that you cannot afford to live here, period. The only way that you can do it is to team up with other families and all live in the same place and slowly build up your education, job skills and income to a point where you can afford to live and get a place of your own, thats the way they did it in my parents time and it seemed to work, but when you have a gov. that all they can think about is their climate control BS and to raise the carbon taxes, interest rates causing inflation, causing prices to go up on everything it becomes a losing battle. So unless you are prepared to work two or three jobs, don't even think about it, because now its next to impossible to do unless you have someone supporting you on your climb to the top. In Canada we need health care workers and that could be nurses, doctors, health care aids, psw's, dsw's and physiotherapists, in some provinces they give free courses to get these jobs and you end up getting good wages like min. 25.00 per hour to start and all the hours you can handle, that means if you work 60 hours a week, you make 1500 a week, now that you can survive on, I know this for a fact because a friend of mine just went through the course and now she is set for life, that was a PSW course, its all up to you, if you want it bad enough, you can have it all. Welcome to Canada.

Eh when you say you don't have to know the real spots that goes hand in hand with sprawl. Sprawl makes owning a restaurant difficult. You have to be off major freeways and exits and afford a place on a sign so cars will pull of the road. The little neighborhood spots exist, but are fewer when you get out of major cities because they honestly can't survive because of freeway driven sprawl that favors restaurants that you are going to see off the freeway which are chains.

The food part. You have to go out of your way and pay to get real food.

I've lived In the US all my life. I was fortunate to come across my amazing wife who lives In Vancouver, BC. I was able to travel to Vancouver a lot since 2007 and I love the city. It's very beautiful, the people are decent, the houses are nice (yet expensive) and overall I like it up there. And you can't beat the free healthcare up there. I'm going to be moving from Chicago to Vancouver, BC in about a year cause my wife has had some medical issues and coming to the states won't work financially since she has medical issues already. I'm nervous yet excited. It's not that diverse when It comes to black people but I can get along with anybody. And I'm not worried about anybody messing with me unless they want a real ChiTown ass whooping lol. Thanks for the video guys. You guys are hilarious. Keep up the great work aight.

In general, most of the claims are invalid in their roots. There, Canada is compared to different, cherry-picked countries, without any understanding of “WHY those differences exists”.\n\nCouple examples: \n- internet is more expensive(than in some countries) because of low density of population and enormous areas to cover.\n- “waiting lists” for medical procedures are to balance healthcare spendings(from taxes) with the real need in those: if your condition is urgent, you’ll get everything you need instantly.\n- tax system is, in fact, one of the best in the world: it pushes awareness and responsibility to Canadians, while in the same time keeping most of it on businesses(employers) and allowing great flexibility in tax deduction/returns.\n\nAnd so on and so forth…

I don't like p[laying politics, but what's even more ridiculous than the cost of living, is who gets blamed for it. You literally have a WHOLE political party that makes their careers off of huge tax cuts to the rich and corporations, and yet when that causes prices to increase, they blame the other side. You are very biased. For some owning a gun might be more important than having gov. decide if you should. You also didn't look at weather and geographic variation which US would win in no time. What about infrastructure, travel, and food cost, cost of living in general? US would take all of those. What about pension systems (Canada might be ahead on this one)? You are wrong about Canada protecting and caring about homeless and in-need people. The reality is that even though you don't see all the homeless people, there are tens of thousands of them in each city, more so in the warmer climates. The UN has already been on Canada's back for the abuse of homeless people and the cruelty towards them and those with mental health problems. Canada is a fraud and has been deceiving immigrants and visitors for over a hundred years. Many of the homeless people in Canada, especially in the past 20 years and from the start of the pandemic, continuing to this day, are now including people with good educations and many years of high-level job experiences, as well as whole families. These people became homeless because of massive job layoffs and lost everything. Contrary to the popular Canadian ideology, homeless people are not lazy slobs who don't bother to work and need to get their acts together. Many of the homeless shelters are filled with dangerous people, bed bugs, and diseases. Many homeless people choose to find alternatives to sleep safely. Many homeless women experience terrible sexual assaults that rarely are reported and rarely ever taken seriously by the police. Most alternatives to shelters are limited and there are so many restrictions that qualifying doesn't always happen. Many have had their ID stolen, so they are unable to get jobs, rent homes, or even have a day to shower and clean their clothes. Most donations of clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags are disregarded because most homeless people don't have the means to carry things. Their nutrition is terrible, through no fault of their own. Many food banks will not give food to those without a home. Many soup kitchens will only help periodically and not for every meal. Canada's treatment of homeless people and mentally people is not just disgraceful, but criminal. The general attitude of many Canadians, as taught to them by deliberate government propaganda, is that if you are poor or were abused or a victim of crime, is that they did something to deserve it. Rents across Canada are beyond the reach of the majority of Canadians, yet, Canada refuses to set up a council house system like the UK. There are no emergency homes and no emergency assistance even close to what the UK and other countries across the world provide. Canada's continued abuse, ill-treatment, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the First Nations peoples is not a past history, but an ongoing history that is not about reconciliation. It is about shutting them up so that they cannot speak and get true justice, instead of just a federal government settlement of a meager amount that has only increased the addictions of victims, who have no one to help them or a place to turn. Canada lies about trauma help and treatment for people for having been victims, or have developed PTSD (this is a brain injury and only a mental health problem if the person becomes suicidal or is unable to do the basics of essential living), and worse, Canada lies about this in relation to kids. Alberta has a place that they claim is for treating trauma in kids. However, this place is nothing more than a low-level counseling center to reunite kids with their parents, who have been removed by law. Any child requiring help has to deal with just basic counselors, who are not trained in helping traumatized and PTSD kids. In relation to the First Nations peoples, if the teens have mental health issues, and if they have to be temporarily hospitalized by their parents, social workers and doctors will force joint custody with the parents, to treat the kids or remove them so they can carry on the government's crimes against the First Nations peoples. The crimes continue. In these past few months, a baby was left to die in a basket at a nurse's station in the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta. The mother was allegedly treated like garbage and her child was allegedly called a specimen. But this is not the only case of such abuse of First Nations pregnant mothers and their children. A case over a decade ago allegedly also took place, and the number of these cases in this hospital alone may possibly be much higher, and other hospitals may also be hiding such crimes. An infant, who was the victim of attempted murder by one or the other parent, was put in the care of relatives by social workers, who were totally unaware of the crime, but the one parent, who was put in the hospital's mental health unit, mentioned a version of what had happened, and when the relatives found out, they were allegedly reassured by the hospital that they would deal with the matter. The relatives believed, understandably, that the hospital would report the crime, but it never did. Allegedly the hospital covered up yet another crime. The police in the city, allegedly informed at some point, one of the relatives that no charges could be laid even if the child remembered as the Canadian health services do not believe that children below the age of 4 can remember anything. It was when I heard about this that I realized that the reason Canada has gotten away with the crimes against the 1st Nations, immigrants, Canadians, and who knows how many other victims, through the mandated alleged use of forced assimilation and the alleged Soviet-style education system, is because of this fake claim that children and even infants cannot remember things. This deliberate lie to those relatives allegedly by the police, shows clearly that Canada is following the dangerous path in a more stealthy fashion than the Nazis did to the Jews and others they rounded up, arrested, tortured, and/or eventually murdered. Your perceptions are limited by your obvious lack of real knowledge and real experience. Please, if you are going to make such a video, live in Canada, all over Canada for at least 30 years, then comment, please!

I live in victoria, bc. Every single topic discussed on this video is not only accurate but they are things i deal with every day.\n\nI work at a hotel downtown and with all the Homelessness and mental illness my job often seems more about keeping people out of the hotel than letting people in.\n\nWe were one of the last hotels to take cash and debit and we found out the hard way it just doesnt work and now we need credit cards like the other hotels which isnt fool proof and is unfair to people who dont use credit cards (like me) but its better than nothing.\n\nA lot of people are free to move around but they do not function in a way that is compatible with modern society for which there is no escape. A lot of homeless people lead miserable lives it seems and sometimes two people having a bad day end up colliding.\n\nI have a nice home with a roomate but our landlady likes us and isnt as concerned about money as having good tenants. She is 80 something and when she is done with having tenants then i will be in a very tough position and will probably...i dont even know.\n\nTook me years to get a doctor but i have one now and getting pushed out asap is a real thing due to time concerns so have lots of solid facts about your problem and avoid poetry or drama.\n\nEverything in this video are things i think about everyday and its even getting a bit scary.\n\nI love my country and its values but we have a lot of hard work to do i think.\n\nPS i had an accident at work where a chair broke and it tipped backwards and the back of my head hit a protrusion resulting in a minor cut but there was lots of blood.\n\nI called the 811 service and they said to have it checked out and i almost didnt gonto the hospital because i wasnt sure if i could stand waiting for 10 hours.\n\nI was lucky because it took only 2 hours with a bonus tetanus shot. You're not correct about the Quebec government banning the hijab - actually they ban all forms of religious expression in clothes worn at work by public servants - so don't criticize us unless you get the facts straight. All countries are facing public health crisis especially in the aftermath of a global pandemic, you mention how long it could take to get an MRI - weeks/months, but it's no worse than in the UK, or other western countries. I do agree with you about limited competition in banking and tech - but we're still a young and growing country, however, look at the global recession that took place in 2007 - Canada was least affected by mortgage default, the US was hit the worst and hundreds of thousands had their homes foreclosed by the Banks, yet in Canada because of our strict banking policies we were saved and the Banks worked with defaulters to try to keep their homes. Taxes, well most countries require you to file your own taxes at the end of the year - what's so strange about that? Yes sales tax is added onto the sales price depending on what province and what you are purchasing, same as US, just because it's not the same in Europe doesn't mean it's worse! Listen, when you're a newcomer to any country you need to fit in when looking for a job, put in the effort, take the time, do the work, any country is going to expect you to be able to speak the language and know the lingo, so I don't agree with your analysis that Canadians are risk adverse! You are 100% correct about the housing crisis, listen it's been going on everywhere for decades, and international investors in the past 10 years or so woke up and noticed that Canada was a great bet for investment, so the problem got really bad. The government just passed a 2 year moratorium on non Canadians buying real estate - as have many other countries, so fingers crossed no more new foreign landlords just regular Canadians buying their first homes, let's hope so!! I've lived many years in Europe - and I loved it! But the quality of life in Canada is better. If you don't live in the crowded city you can have a nice property with lots of space, good roads, not bad school system, very friendly and helpful people. Quebec has some of the best food on the North American continent, we have clean air and lots of water in Canada - I'm very happy here, so don't be so negative please!

Most, if not all, immigrants have gone through rigorous English proficiency tests from reading, writing, speaking. Likewise most of the immigrants have high educational backgrounds, so they’re definitely proficient in English. They may not have the native speaker accent (just like yourselves) but I highly doubt they could be regarded as not being proficient in the English language. What’s the big deal about the English language by the way? among all of the languages, it’s the easiest to master. So I highly doubt that’s one of the real reasons. It’s more on the stupid “not having Canadian experience” thing. Which is really doesn’t make much sense. How would you expect most immigrants to have Canadian work experience? This backwards thinking is among the reason why Canada is lagging compared to other global countries. Only Canada has this rule. That way, it’s limiting its chances of getting the best talents from every part of the world. Because of this rule, highly skilled immigrants are forced to work jobs that doesn’t require technical skills just to pay the bills, until they got fed up for not being able to get jobs according to their high skills and eventually leave Canada for the US.

Don't get me wrong, Canada is a beautiful country but be careful of wearing rose coloured glasses and thinking the grass is greener. It seems the real reason is to use it as a stepping stone to work in the US. Whatever you do, I wish you luck! btw my partner has worked FIFO all around Australia from Tasmania in the mining and construction industry for around 20 years. Not for everyone, but we get to live on a beautiful island, have our own farm, get heaps of frequent flyer points so get free overseas trips. We've made it work for us. Our Canadian friends said they'd move to Tasmania in a heartbeat if they could!

im from newfoundland. i can say that the weather is quite bad,but the people here are real nice and our accents are hillarious to other provinces,we have strength but not so much intelligence. we also have one of the few viking settlements in north america,lanse aux meadows. aswell as a supposed viking location known as point rosee. also i should mention that newfoundland is incredibly historical just to list a few things we have:beothuks,viking settlements,4 different anscestors being france england scotland and ireland hints the hillarious accent,we also have lots of prehistoric fossils dating all the way back to 570 million bc,we also were the place that started and was one of the main reasons the french and indian/seven year war was formed,oh and dont even get me started on how much resources we have. in total we have 60 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and so much wind you could probably power all of america using windmills from newfoundland. but i dont advise you live here,its more of a historian/paleontologists dream to visit this place overall on a scale without any biasty i rate nefoundland and labrador a solid 7/10 for its amount of good jobs but its high gas prices,bad premier,bad weather,freezing tempatures,sparse and rugged land,no biodiversity and a it being a good spot for a country to invade if going to war.its not looking good for newfoundland and labrador,ESPECIALLY NEWFOUNDLAND

I was born in Montreal and lived there for 64 years. I'm fluently bilingual. I speak English and French. My mother was French and my father was English. I was educated in English. Because of my work, I had travelled extensively and often throughout all of Canada and had seen it all except for Nunavut and the NorthWest Territories. Having stated that, I couldn't wait to get out of Quebec. Starting in the early 70's, I couldn't stand living in Quebec but I tolerated it because I was doing well financially and it didn't make sense to relocate. The Quebec government introduced stupid and restrictive language laws back then. That drove a lot of business and English-speaking people out of the province. There was a real economic decline in that province that lasted many years but luckily hadn't affected my business. Most of the people that left Montreal moved to Toronto. Toronto benefitted from that exodus as they became the financial capital of Canada. I have resided in BC's Okanagan Valley for the last 7 years. It's the best move I've ever made. I have never regretted moving here. This is by far, the #1 province in Canada.

Hi Jason from the Uk I want to move on and settle down in Canada. How will I get there I am a British citizen and how much money. I am not about immigration rules I have to apply online. Well many people unaware of the religious custom might get frightened, it's a real knife after all , people can't be blamed , specially considering what happens US schools.Also having many Sikh friends i know that , it isn't customary for him to carry the knife out of any religious obligation that too in a school. None of my friends do so , they only use it in special occasions like marriages

They are both at fault cop for not understanding his religion and student for not helping him get to know why he was wearing that. Student should of taken off the knife let the office inspect it and if the officer went any further from there should be sued and either demoted and or discharged from campus. I live in Toronto (born and raised) and I’m moving to Costa Rica in the new year. This video is interesting to me because these are all things I truly agree with but have never given any real thought to as negatives about Canada. I usually get quite defensive when people try to compare to the states and call us (Toronto in particular) less then American cities. You need taxes for your hospitals, rads, defence etc. The health care problem is not unoque to Canada. We also have it in the UK. The healthcare system is much much better than in the USA and better than in West Africa. Cost of living is high everywhere. You don't look homeless. Try living in the USA. Go back to college and get a better qualification and earn more. In the USA you are more likely to be shot than in Canada. Go back to University and get a good degree or try Nigeria or Ghana. The houses have shitty materials compared to my original country, and you simply can’t built by your own and that’s why every price rises.\nAnother issue you didn’t mention it’s there is no scholarships, it’s incredible expensive to get a proper education like university, and even so, they no offered scholarships. In Mexico almost everyone can reach the opportunity to study to be anything (lawyers, doctors) AND there is why you can get professional services everywhere. Here in Canada the business never have profesional services (like a real Human Resources, who studies for 5 years to be the best influence in a company, or a real engineering taking care of the machines in a plant. Canada only hire the cheap hand to avoid paying and I can understand it, but if more people could study more money moves in the country.\nAnother issue is there is not any public transportation into the cities or provinces, so if you don’t have a car, a driver license (it’s not easy to get one) and pay the super expensive insurance (it’s incredible 10 times more expensive than in Mexico) your can’t move from the place you are.
