Funny how u & the white people u talk to can’t talk honestly about their self distructive behavior choices. The people u spoke to were all drug addicts & from the looks of them they have been in the drug culture for a good 20 yrs, they made those choices way before those Indians went to Brampton. Their culture values education so many of them already come to Canada with a high level of education and they are getting degrees in order to work in Canada. Another difference is that family and kinship is valued so Indians work together to build themselves up. They may have to live in crowded housing but they r working to save to be able to buy their own homes. The problem with White people is they don’t have family unity, they view having children and inconvenience. They don’t realize that those children will become their safety net as they get older. Family helps each other out, those Indians would do anything to keep a family member from living in the streets. This would put their family in shame in their community. Canadians have something to learn from the Indians. By the way their religion disapproves of alcohol & drugs so they don’t have that problem. Unfortunately, I know several skilled workers with MScs and PhDs in STEM fields (e.g., Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, or Computer Science) who came to Canada not only to pursue their degrees but also to contribute to the country’s scientific and economic development. Many of these individuals, including myself, end up leaving. \n \nSome leave because of systemic issues in the PR system, which often prioritizes candidates with limited skills or questionable credentials over highly qualified individuals who have lived, studied, and worked in Canada for 5+ years. Others leave due to the high cost of living, challenges in accessing healthcare, or instability in the job market. \n \nThroughout my time in Canada, I’ve met genuinely kind and hardworking Canadians who are understandably frustrated with the current state of affairs. The policies implemented by this government have created significant challenges that may take years to resolve. Unfortunately, this risks leaving Canada with a workforce ill-equipped to meet future demands, while losing both talented Canadians and highly skilled immigrants who could have been integral to the country’s progress.

Immigrants are so massive, that is scary mostly in big cities, we don't have this problem in the countryside. It is so rare to see new comers that had choose to work and live into 40 000 population city like mine. They are very welcome, we lack so much on workforce in every jobs and it is much more easy to find a place to stay. The biggest problem isn't immigration, it is those new jobs opportunities created when we still don't have workers to fill the gap elsewhere who need it most!\nAlso. immigrants to tends to choose living and working in cities as Montreal, Vancouver or Toronto. Canada isn't limited in those cities. Towns, countryside are options, the living cost of rent is lower, house cost less and driving 30minutes to 1 hour on the road to go work is what most does Canadian.

Employers want Canadian experience because immigrants lie on their resumes. It is difficult to check references from a country halfway around the world. Easier if you worked in the USA.

Canadian expat living in Asia. Just returned from a visit to Canada. While spending time with family and catching up with them was awesome, I couldn’t wait to be back in Asia. The migrants will find a way into Canada because of the government's weak leadership. I was born and raised in Montréal, Québec, and I am still living there. I work as an employment counselor and many asylum seekers (from Haiti, Guinea, Nigeria, Ghana, Algeria, Morocco, Burkina Faso, Senegal, etc.) come to my office (on average 15 per week). My family immigrated here in the 70s. We embraced Canada, my parents worked hard, there were no hand outs then. Kept our traditions at home, however when a Canadian was invited over everyone spoke English as well in public spaces. We were very proud to become Canadian citizens five years later. My brothers and I all served in the military. There is a bit of relief that my father passed away so as not to see what Canada has become in the last 9 years. I have little tolerance for cultures that are only here to take with no interest in assimilating.

Canadians complain because they've only seen good throughout their lives. I, as an immigrant, appreciate everything this country has given me and truly love Canada from the bottom of my heart. Travelling to a country and living + working in the same country are 2 very different experiences. My friends, family, and colleagues based in the UK, Spain, US, Australia, and Dubai all have been complaining about things very similar to what you're complaining about. Canadian government should only focus on students who are interested in coming here for their education not for PR or working, after education they should return back. There are plenty of students around the world who want to come here for their education and can also integrate into the Canadian system if PR given. Here are some clarifications to note:\n\n\n1. In the last six years, 1.5 million international students brought a minimum of $67,500,000,000 direct cash into the Canadian economy. (Assuming a min $40-45000 per student for 2 year diploma, between to $100,000 - 150,000 for undergrad, and around $50,000 for Masters degrees). Usually, international students have to pay most of this money before applying for the study visa. \n\n\n2. These colleges employ Canadians for their day to day operations. From cleaning, maintainance, administration to teaching, each college operates with approx 20-30million budget. So, more students lead to more employment for Canadians who further pay taxes.\n\n\n3. All students start work straightaway, pay taxes, and do not qualify for social security. They do not qualify for any student loans by Canadian govt or banks. So, they generate revenue for Canada through their work and taxes. The thing that govt LOVES.\n\n\n4. These students become new consumers and their expenditure generate revenues for local businesses.\n\n\n5. Most Colleges would not survive without international students. Which is good in the sense that only quality colleges will survive and other hanky panky colleges would shut down. However, such closures will lead to job losses, bankruptcy when the colleges won't be able to afford their expenses.\n\n\nSo, considering these factors it will be an industry collapse. Govt needs to control immigration. They need to introduce intelligent policies. The steps that current govt is currently taking are politically motivated not rational.

It's Not enough and this was Not Fair! We came here in this country and vetted for 6 years by Immigration and all proper education requirements met. My mom worked so hard to be able to come into this Country when I was 14yrs old, there were Rules and Criteria. Now, it's all a Joke. People can come into Canada without proper oversight and Money works. As long as you have huge sums to pay, they let you in, easily, 3months you get Permanent Resident status, we worked hard for 6 years, even doesn't matter if you're a criminal from back home, they let you in, as long as you have money. No proper Vetting process! What has this Current government done to this once great country? They ruined this whole Canadian immigration dream for everyone. My family feels angry and cheated on!
