This is the problem with Canada and most of the West these days. Work some kind of BS job(web entrepreneur etc) and doesn't really contribute to the country like by raising a nuclear family. It's the aftermath of feminism. They just end up traveling the world figuring out themselves instead of really building their own country. The money that you pay in taxes has really no value. It's the kids that you could bear that would. Walked the amazing city of Toronto across Bloor, down Yonge to King Street across to Bathurst yesterday afternoon. No issues at all. Seems like the Toronto i was born and raised in. Saw a concert then walked from Ontario Place up to King and across to University between 11:00pm to around 12:30. Smiled as I saw countless couples sitting on benches enjoying the cities energy. Bars were busy. Women waiting for buses, going to walks, grocery runs. Subway was busy for 1am with every walk of life, including four 4 20 something young women heading back home after a night out.\n\nLove my city.\n\nSad some people don't get to know her and just bag on her for political reasoning.

I come from a mix-status family, my dad’s undocumented but has been in the US for 22 years, my mom’s a US citizen, they both own a business + two homes. The immigrants that are coming into the US do not want to work and want nothing but hand outs. Why do we have people who have been here for decades, have assimilated into society are unable to legalize due to outdated immigration laws yet we have so many coming across our border who want handouts. Look at Colorado and New York for example.

I have a similar background as I immigrated to Canada when I was 6 years old. I haven't travelled across 50 countries like Alina but I'm well travelled and Canada is still, in my opinion, the best country in the world. Besides the strong passport and political stability Alina mentioned, Canadians also benefit from the great healthcare system, environmental protections, capital markets, educational system, labour standards, etc. This country has afforded me a wonderful career that allowed me to build wealth while giving me substantial financial flexibility and freedoms. Canada is not perfect but I'm so grateful to my parents for moving us here.

As a Native American, I believe that we should let foreign immigrants into our country to help the economy. Yes it does get a bit much at times with the littering in the streets, but north america is a free country for all people across the globe to come and settle. There should be no majority white nor black.

I have been across Canada many times and have visited every major city. Quebec wouldn't be on my top 5 list. Alberta is #1, BC #2, Ontario #3, Nova Scotia #4 and New Brunswick is #5. That is my opinion.

I just stumbled across this video. This is my first viewing of one of your videos and it was sad and painful to watch. I was born in Canada to immigrant parents. I grew up on a farm in Alberta. Listening to your memories of growing up resinated with me as that was my experience as well. Fast forward to today, my husband and I left Canada in 2022 and are currently in Mexico. We have thought about a return to Canada but the reports really don't give us hope. We will likely move again someday, but Canada isn't high on that list until something changes. We had not communicated in a long time BUT... I think you were surprized how much you enjoyed to exploration of Russia a few years ago but quality of life was very good then but even better now, but retaining the unmatched access to culture, very low cost of living much lower crime rate than Canada/US/Europe, and cost of living about 1/10th of Canada, great health and easy to get a residency and citizenship due to being from Ukraine originally. For your travels, it is a little more complicated due to US sanctions but from here in St Petersburg it is really easy to travel by bus to Estonia and fly anywhere in the world. Estonia is the cheapest cost of living in the Baltic. I have flown to California several times using that route and to London the flight is $50 euros. \nAlthough you explored a lot here there is so much more to see and experience.\nThere is no doubt the western countries that relied on cheap labor and resources from colonies are all in a downward spiral and the east is rising. All the BRICS countries have positive growth in quality life and economic growth and a total of 108 countries have either applied or expressed serious interest in joining the largest trade block in history while the US empire fades at an accellerating rate. I would not go back the the crime, homelessness, anger, poverty of the US but have family business to take care of every 4-5 years. The decline is not a temporary downturn, the banking collaps that is accelerating now and impossible to pay back debt, it is really sad to see how the US is turning out. When growing up in California we had everything , really the golden state but is a wreck now. It's weird to describe this as weird. A lot of countries signed the 1951 refugee convention so its pretty normal across most of the world and has been for 73yrs.

Because I am a licensed, healthcare professional, It is not easy for me to work in another country and it will definitely mean a huge salary cut, but I am considering doing this as I am no longer feeling happy living in Canada. This is so sad to watch. I'm an Aussie in Sydney who worked in Calgary for 10 years between 2004 and 2014. Watching your country deteriorate like this at the hands of your glorious leaders is gut wrenching. The spread of wasting humanity across North America as the legalisation of drug use (+ other socialist policies) is taking hold bends my mind. We also have unattainable house prices here for many, but we don't have the large scale social devastation (yet). Good luck in your journey - can't imagine how tough this is for you and your family. sounds harsh…. but there are risks you take as a landlord, bad tenancy is one of them. And to be honest, 41K? that’s penny compare to the property’s value in that area. Amidst horrible housing across the country, hard to side with landlords complaining of their issues . i know its very bias, but too many landlords go into real estate when they should stick to stocks.

I think you need to be patient. Canada is a good place and can be again with the Liberals being replaced. People in Canada are more centre politically than extreme left or right. From what I see with comments across the different podcasts I watch, people in Canada are fed up with the direction he has taken us. A more centre government be in place will bring us back to a more familiar country.

So many Canadians in the same situation — perhaps use your Canadian passport ? so many better places for you to be… find a nice job across the border in the US — it’s so easy to get a TN work Visa, or work tax free in the UAE, or build a nice career in Singapore. I had the same problem with Australia — it’s my home, and my heart will always fondly call it home forever. Australia is a big country with small job market, generally ignorant (but nice) people and limited economic diversity. One gets proper civic amenities only in either Melbourne or Sydney e.g., top notch medical care, a wide variety of groceries etc. Taxation is very high and although some people will tell you “we are well taken care of…” that is not true nowadays. The Australian Government’s policies over the last 40 years destroyed manufacturing, the economy, working conditions and inflated the property market. A reasonable 2-bedroom apartment in a Sydney suburb could cost you Au$2000-3000 in rent or Au$500,000+ to buy — and that goes higher as you get closer to downtown Sydney. The problem is that incomes are not high enough in Australia and housing quality is less than average overall for these ridiculous prices. Food, tolls and petrol cost a lot, although Sydney and Melbourne’s fresh food markets give you better prices than you’ll find in most other cities. My wife and I had a combined income of over Au$300,000/year while we lived there. We finally left Australia and moved to the US because even with our relatively high income we could only have an average house for around Au$1.8 million, we couldn’t fill up the tub and have a proper bath because of water restrictions, our kids would get an average schooling and their only dream in life would be to one day own a house. We didn’t want to live like that, so we wrapped up and left for good. The US is much better for skilled people — I don’t mean plumbers, tilers, roofers or landscapers, although life is good for them too. I’m sure someone will reply to this comment about the gun violence in the US. All I can say is that in the US we have the option to defend ourselves whereas in Australia we are expected to quietly die if someone kicks us in the head, stabs us or shoots us. Quality of life is good here in the US for me and my family. Fly free, mate!

Govts across the worlds are failing

There are plenty of jobs and affordable housing in small/medium size cities and towns across the country. That's where the jobs are. That's where we need new workers. Not the giant urban centers.

Ya the time has come across the developed world with the aged population where you can’t continue being racist and developed at the same time … before I guess, you could … most, but not all developed countries were developed while they colonized large swathes of Asia, Africa and South America … so they never developed the appetite, desires or muscles to mingle with their inferiors let alone allow them to take jobs in the countries where they hailed from … but now one can’t do or live that way

I left Germany after 5 long years. Despite having a Blau Karte, a salary of €86,000 and eligibility for the EU long term residence permit, I just couldn't stand the retarded bureaucracy, extremely inefficient systems, long waiting times for everything, the refusal of many businesses and service providers to even adopt English as an option, the dull cities, crazy real estate prices and a lot more. People were generally nice, but it wasn't too difficult to come across the nasty ones, especially in the service sector. Service, even with high prices, absolutely sucks in Germany, like the complete opposite of Asia. \n\nI didn't even apply for the EU residence permit because I couldn't bother with German B1. I speak 6 languages, so learning isn't an issue for me. My heart was just never in Germany, and it never felt like home at all.\n\nIn Germany, there's a shortage of everything, except attitude.

This is how Chinese migrants entered Canadian borders by using the America- US border along Peace Arch Border. A similar documentary showed Chinese migrants were to enter US as tourists and then walk across the Peace Arch and were told to look like tourists taking pictures and cross over and be picked up. This was going on for decades.

Just a few days ago, I watched a series comparing houses and apartments across Canada, with literal castles in Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain, etc. It's insane. Some of the houses compared were CONDEMNED, and were still worth a decent castle.

A tent showed up in a parl across the street from me.. zero toilets.... Ok but.

That first comment saying we don’t need a million more Ubers drivers and Tim Hortons workers doesn’t come across very well. Lots of people coming here are highly educated. \nOn the other hand. Tims hires immigrants because the typical “Canadian” minimum wage worker doesn’t show up to shifts, are late frequently, or have poor work ethics. Immigrants are reliable because they don’t have a plan b or anyone to fall back on if they don’t have money coming in.

As a Canadian, I think it's pathetic that we're making it so easy for migrants to come here then sneak south across the border. Let's be fair, though: they've been doing the same in the other direction since 2017 and nothing/no-one stood in their way.\nThe fact is, both our governments have been run by incompetents recently who have no interest in enforcing borders. Some of these refugees ran away from highly radical islamic states, due to the living conditions, which are totally understandable, but this does shows the reality in the EU and the UK, some just simply intend to move to the EU to enforce their shariaw law agenda and could potentially comimg from radical groups. See whats happening in the UK, enforcing new foreign culture and belief to other countries. In addition to that, some EU countries and the UK are providing them free housing, prioritizing them over the locals in need. In 10-20 years from now they will be the mayority and will try any means to imposed their islamic laws across the EU. The EU will be a minority in its own states.
