We shouldn't even begin the conversation on helping immigrants and refugees, when CANADIANS are struggling to with the same issues

Because of the illegal immigrants it causes problems to us legal immigrants i am Indian i done 3 degree and wanted to do phd in canada but they refused me even through i have experience in my field ?

If the situation was reversed, we were living in an impoverished country and were invited to immigrate to another country with better opportunities, I know damn well Canadians would jump at it, so I can't blame Indians for coming here. The fault lies squarely on Trudeau for bringing in more immigrants than Canada's population can handle and even more so, not providing housing driving housing prices and rents up. As far as pooping on the beach goes, I am sorry, where there is smoke there is usually fire and as even bleeding heart Liberals have claimed, it is acceptable in India, so pretty good chance someone took liberties here. As far as I am concerned, if you choose to immigrate to a country, you should follow it's laws. It may have just been one or two Indians who did, but as ambassadors of your country, you are responsible for people's perception of you and hatred directed towards your people as a result of your actions is your responsibility, not our fault.

I work with the public. There has always been a racist element in Canada, even if it is less than most Western countries. The recent reduction on visas for Indians is directed against foreigners in general, not Indians. It is misguided because immigration is not the cause of inflation, unemployment or housing costs. In fact, the new immigration policy will make those problems more severe.

When so many immigrants enter a country that its infrastructure can not handle the increased population, people start to be anti-immigration. People who are not the majority race and culture, are easy targets for people who are frightened by the rise of homelessness and crime, and loss of employment. In Canada, even in small rural towns, long established residents see that their children can not find work, or housing, while obvious immigrants are everywhere as waitresses, cashiers, and other unskilled jobs which their children used to do when starting out. On top of that, many Canadians can not find a family doctor, and our healthcare system is strained to the breaking point. People are frightened, and want the government to tighten immigration policies. I think that our government did not consider all the factors when it opened the door so wide for immigration. Now it has to take a step back, and ensure that the infrastructure is in place before immigrants arrive in Canada, not be forever trying to fix the problems after they have caused havoc!

Even canada, with a relatively strict immigration policy, is having problems. Switzerland, with our t\nvery strict immigration policy, is having problems. Both of these countries love immigrants. It's just that you can't have completely unvetted immigrants coming in. I wish I could invite all the refugees of the world to live in my garden. But they just wouldn't fit. And before anyone calls me a racist or a hater, I personally raise money for refugees at the kakuma refugee camp in kenya. There is a way to help people where they are.

NO!\n\n3- Did the Canadian government provide the newly arrived immigrants with a sufficient monthly payment, including the rent of a house befitting human dignity, balanced and sufficient nutrition expenses, summer and winter clothing, daily transportation costs within the city, monthly house bills, communication and correspondence expenses, equal and sufficient education payment, cultural activities and a daily pocket money so that they can live humanely?...... NO!\n\n4- Did the Canadian government provide the newly arrived immigrants with a solid, safe and clean social structure where they can live freely without any risk to themselves and their families, where they feel completely safe and without any fear, anxiety and concern in terms of attack and crime?....... NO!\n\n5- Did the Canadian government provide the newly arrived immigrants with a democratic state and a fair social society structure where there is no racism, discrimination, inequality of opportunity, favoritism, incompetence and harassment, whether covert or overt?........ NO!\n\n6- Did the Canadian government grant any right to vote or be elected to immigrants who came to the country legally during their stay in Canada until they became citizens, did they give them the right to vote for the party or people who would govern them, did they give them the right to vote at least in local elections other than general elections? ....... NO!\n\n-So, do you think that the Canadian government, which does not fulfill any of these, is a country ready to accept immigrants? ....... OF COURSE NO!\n\nTHEN, the Canadian State and its government do not have the right to say a single word about immigrants, and the Canadian State should now prepare the trillions of dollars that the immigrants themselves will pay as a result of the compensation lawsuits they will file against all these human rights violations that the state has implemented against immigrants for years, in a planned and systematic manner, unfairly and mercilessly. The Canadian government has deliberately left the immigrants it has accepted into the country, whether they are illegal or legal, hungry, helpless, unemployed and poor, has implemented all kinds of racism, discrimination and harassment against immigrants, has torn families apart, has never allowed them to feel safe in Canada, has not taken any timely, appropriate, necessary and primary duty measures to ensure this, and has done all these within the scope of its fully conscious and previously established anti-immigrant policies and the plans and programs to which those policies belong, because otherwise it could not use and exploit immigrants to their core, in this sense, it is the Canadian State itself that is carrying out human smuggling and immigrant trafficking.

Canada's population of 40 million is not enough to drive the economy big. An MPP long time ago wanted Canada's population to be around 100 million to drive the economy. The biggest issue that Canada faces is imminent. Influx of unqualified workers & flooding the low wage jobs (If there are any) \nLocals Canadians will have to face & fight with these Low Wage Earner for jobs. \nMore ever, these illegal immigrants are illiterate, and CAN NOT even contribute to the wellbeing of local economy but to create heaps of social problem within the community circle.

As graduate students and Professor assistants - working on research programs - have lived in the United States most of their lives. ... Just after reading comments from some Germans here, it really feels like that racism, chauvinism and zero-sum thinking are just a part of their mentality. They seem to believe that foreigners working in their country shouldn't have any voice, because having independent thinking or claiming some rights means abruptly that you aren't integrated.\n\nMany of them feel like foreign workers shouldn't even be given opportunity to come to Germany in the first place, because supposedly average German doesn't benefit from having larger workforce or higher productivity.. which is pure economic and sociological non-sense ?\n\nTight housing market plays now against immigration narrative, but that's caused also by inferior construction speeds, high interest rate, higher cost of materials and by the labor shortage.

I'm east Indian and been living in Canada since 1994. Even I want a full block of all immigrants from India. This is not immigration, it's an invasion and infestation!

All these foreign students should simply stop coming to Canada. The entire tertiary education system would collapse. These colleges and university have been gouging these foreign students for years. This at its core has nothing to do with jobs. it is xenophobia. The white Canadian's are seeing too many colored people and it scares them. White kids dont want to work at Tim Hortons for minimum wage. The economy needs these immigrants more than anything. Do you have any idea of the amount of taxes these immigrants pay annually? It really is a sad situation. But the effects will be even worse when these tax inflows cease. Prepare for job cuts and tax hikes.

The mayor told police to make sure Canadian citizens don’t take pictures or talk about this event. Even in my town the mayor here turned off our internet for the whole town so we could not share the terror attack done by immigrants here. Just hearing about this unfortunate situation for Indians in some countries. I am German, based in Berlin. I love our turban wearing Sikh cycle couriers bringing food to the hungry. Recently saw a pedaling Indian girl, even. No probs whatsoever with these Indians here.They work, they study alonside, many are established in well paying IT jobs. Unlike some immigrant groups, Indians never create problems, do not depend on welfare, have decent manners and are smart in whatever occupation they choose. You are welcome to send us more of them! Okay, I have a special liking for Indians, because I spent three years in India and I love your country so much! ♥️

There is a reason for this, even though I think doors should be open to anyone that wants to become canadians.\nThe reason being there is not enough housing. And that is throughout Canada. There is a lack even for people who already live here.\nThey took too many immigrants compare to many other countries. But the provinces did not put money on housing for many years. yes canada is not racist and no one can make such generalization. however it is clear by many comments that racism clearly exists. international students are not just from india. they are from many countries. many come from nigeria also but rebel news or harrison and others would not say one word against anyone who is black. if all these people were from uk or europe then would this even be an issue to anyone? be honest. i am not taking sides. i been in canada for 40 years and my loyalty is to canada and for sure i would say there was lot of racism when i came in 1988. from grade 6 to 9 life was terrible here. things changed over time and my kids have not experienced racism for most of there life here but now i am seeing the bullies type that i faced are returning more and more especially online. rebel news and harrison (forgot his last name) are motivating such people. i had 2 racism incident in last few months. majority of indians are not trouble makers and are amongst the richest community in all of canada with the lowest crimes. many indian doctors, nurses, IT sector, engineers etc... now where does the problem lie. it is with poor immigration policies which lowered its standards. the requirements has to be raised higher and highly educated bunch is who we should bring in. many people from punjab india are involved in crimes and drugs and these are the people involved in the separatist movement and jagmeet and justin brought them in for votes. they need to go and so do those who are not loyal to canada. those of you who are racist i can give you a history lesson of the kkk or the crusaders but i know too many good people who i rather not group with you. in fact there is no need to go that route. you can never get rid of all blacks or indians out of canada. we have a history and we have every right to feel canadian as we obey and contribute to the economy and abide the law so f-off.

I am Indian descent my parents came here with proper immigration process and brought money to put in Canadian economy. It was fine before when immigration was minimal. Now it doesn’t even feel like Canada anymore. They come here then enforced their beliefs/culture on Canada if we keep that up, there will be no Canada it will become India,Punjab,Middle East and Africa etc. You’re doing a great job please keep it up.

Lawyers are the biggest clowns, I am an immigrant myself and I never used their services. They are part of the problem because many of them like to lie encouraging everyone to apply for different process giving hope to newcomers to stay. They get money whatsoever even the immigrants' visa process don't work out.

And apply for immigration like I did 22 years ago I had to wait 4 years for my papers to get approved and I got my visa as a skilled worker the moment I landed in Montreal and handed in all my documents to the officers of immigration at the airport I official became a permanent resident and with in one week I got all my medical card and social insurance number and I was even allowed to use my driver licence from country of origin for 3 month till I got a Quebec driving permit I started working as a machinist 3 weeks after I landed and I have been working and living in this amazing oh wait was amazing till Covid hits then the left destroyed every thing good in this country ! End of story !

Everything you stated was spot on and very accurate. You are not only very articulate and eloquent but also very brave and sensible to bring up this topic. Hopefully, the population of Indian heritage who live in Canada take note of what you have so brilliantly stated and start to change their behavior before the Canadian born citizens get completely fed up and start throwing these people out.\n\nI am of Indian heritage who immigrated to California, USA, 50 years ago. I made a concentrated effort to assimilate into the American culture as quickly as possible and become a productive part of the American culture and it's traditions. I embraced my new home but still valued my heritage and what I could contribute to this society - tolerance and patience. Sadly, what you stated regarding this kind of negative behavior started to creep in, even here, during the Barack Hussein Obama administration (very backward man and backward values) and has steadily become worse over the past 10-12 years here in the U.S. People of Indian heritage truly have a lot to offer countries like the U.S. and Canada when these people conduct themselves in a civilized and cultured manner.

Mass Deportation, even re-migration of most immigrants. \notherwise no hope for Canada

The immigration file has been completely botched and mishandled by an inept and very stupid government. Mass immigration without a plan for increased housing, medical staff, infrastructure help, or even increased staff at immigration centres, etc. is madness, and chaos has ensued. I studied in India for several years, and was careful to respect Indian culture vis a vis dress codes, learning Hindi, and behaviour. It is only normal courtesy to do so. It becomes more difficult when numbers increase drastically over a v. short period of time since people coming here are not widely exposed to Canadian culture. This completely inept and corrupt government needs to go: like yesterday. I think of myself as anti-racist, but when I go for a medical test and see that 95% of patients appear to be of middle-eastern origin, while I haven't been able to find a family doctor for 10 years, I do get a little irritated. And I'm a boomer; younger people in Canada are competing for education, jobs, housing, as well as medical care, so I can understand people becoming angry. I think that currently this backlash is against the government, not immigrants, and not one community in particular. I am cynical enough to think that this government went for mass immigration because they have no economic plan for prosperity, and bringing in several millions would raise GDP. But percapita GNP has been falling for 8 quarters, so we are definitely in a recession. I think Trudeau did this so his economic incompetence would not be obvious. Anyway, that's my appeal: we should be upset at a government that caused this chaos, not at individual immigrants nor a specific community.

That is my main concern: many immigrants are not just keeping their old culture but forcing it on native Canadians of all descent. \nFor refugees, it absolutely boggles my mind why you might want to recreate the very situations that you are fleeing from. \nFor Indians specifically, I’ve noticed a tendency to hire only other Indians, excluding Canada from Canadians and I don’t appreciate it. What drivings it down because of immigration. Even some government entities or crown companies example Saskatchewan preferred to hire international/foreign workers than hiring experienced skilled Canadians. ?????????Look, there are people 'gaming' the system, here in B.C. there are a bunch of Schools that nobody ever really attends, they are old storefronts downtown... the windows are covered with paper so you can't see inside. Conviently there are 'immigration lawyers' offices right next door. There are reports that 'students' are recruited in certain South Asian countries, put into debt to the tune of $180,000 with the promise of being able to get residency and eventually citizenship. They are then put to work, in local businesses to work off this debt. There is a reason every single small business in my town is owned by a certain Southern Asian position group..\n Every single one, every gas station (even the one on the native reserve) every single fast food restaurant and they only seem to employ people of a certain population group... in my day that was called racism, but today it is just motivated by greed and exploiting their own people, which they have a long history of in their own country?????????

These young ones coming here, are different from Indians long ago or even a decade or as you said 5 years ago. They were never this type of people, or behave in the manner these do (disgraceful). We Canadians are taking in immigrants but yet we Canadians can't even build more houses.

Everyone , and I mean EVERYONE that is a NON-CITIZEN that was brought in since 2024 should be sent home. No excuses. Foreign exchange students , LIMA , Illegals , refugees , EVERYONE.\nUntil we send about 1-3million people packing, we will continue our downward spiral .\n\nPlease also discuss the fact Trudeau wants to make it possible for immigrants to become residents if they have a close family member that is a citizen in Canada.\n\nThis is ALL a ruse . Its a lie . They are pulling the whool over our eyes.\n\nThey tell us there will be deportations OR that we will not be taking any lima/foreign student applications and then they make another loophole that allows EVEN MORE PEOPLE IN!!!

I don't even need to watch the video to explain why Canadians hate Indians. Indians flooded our country with mostly unskilled people who don't integrate. People who don't understand deodorant and shit on beaches. People who rape women and beat each other up in the streets. People who don't know how to drive a car safely. People who will live 10 people in a bedroom so landlords can jack up rent prices. People who scam the immigration system and bribe their way into the country using LMIA. Most of Germans are really good people and friendly nothing against them but Germany itself is not immigrant friendly racism is pretty much on the rise ,low wages , little or no opportunities, my wife handles international clients and she says German client s are the worst in behavior they sound rude and entitled. If I'm a skilled person and want to move to Germany first and foremost you need to learn most difficult language in world and master it nothings wrong there but why would I when I could just go with English and move to other English speaking countries which offers more opportunities or atleast learn french that would be even more beneficial. Germany was known for it's low cost education system and other benefits it provide for students but sadly enough jobs are not there. If you want to attract international talent first atleast create an atmosphere for them but really sorry to say these but Germany feels hostile towards immigrants. Big MNCs are seeing all these and saying why are we here if we cannot hire international talent and slowly they are walking out of there and moving on to other countries ? and now you got serious issue here and people have only themselves to blame ?. Go taken out anti immigrant marches and go with conservative approach nothing new for Germany in the end German economy always ends up in toilet.

The funny thing is trudeau caused this issue and it's only years later he realizes he has to reverse it. Everyone that has immigrated in the past 5 years should be deported. We do not need 3 million immigrants in the span of 5 years. I have nothing but bad experiences with people from india, scamming, fraud, lying etc. Even Canadian born east indians do not like the people that are coming from india because of their culture and how they try to go around the laws and break the laws especially with businesses.

Those from India are like any other immigrants. They're trying to find their way in a new society with different customs and rules. My parents came here in the 50’s from Italy and were discriminated against in the same ways. As first-generation Canadians, my brother and I were discriminated against because of our heritage in school and then in our chosen careers.\n\nIn general, Indians are hard-working, well-educated, English-speaking and entrepreneurial. In general Indians benefit Canadian society.\n\nI became friends and eventually best friends with my neighbour from Punjab. He came here with nothing and became an educator for children with special needs. He had two master's degrees. One from McGill University and one from Cambridge. He was involved in our community at many levels. We spent most evenings discussing life, and society issues and even worked together on a campaign of one of our local councillors and won. He had a positive impact on all who knew him. Unfortunately, he passed in 2012. RIP Rupinder Jeji. You are dearly missed.

Not so acurate information. During the college time students can work only 20h/week. Unless it has changed. \n\nAlso, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get permanent residency before graduation because you need Canadian experience (full time) for at least 1 year in specialized areas. \n\nOnly if you successfully complete your program you get the full time work visa per 3y. In this time it’s going to be possible TO APPLY for permanent residence. \n\nBut not only that. Canadian experience give you extra points in the immigration program, but also a Bachelor’s degree, or a master degree, work experience in your back country, English level, and age. \n\nI don’t know for certain countries if the rules are different, but as long as I know, it’s the same for everybody. \n\nWhen I came as an international student, I had to prove the college was paid, also show I had enough money to support myself for 1y without work. Also, the program at college that costs $4000/semester for a Canadian student, it costs $8-10.000 for an international student. \n\nMy work visa (during college) allowed me 20h per week working only. \n\nTo get my study visa approved I had to show intermediate English, money, work experience, Bachelor’s degree (I have also a master’s), and explain why I wanted to study in Canada and why that program was related to my current career. \n\nTalking about jobs; I have worked as a housekeeper in a hospital (on weekends). After I graduated I became supervisor. \n\nSome people complain about students and immigrants getting the jobs, but what I’ve seen was a lot of people complaining EVERY DAY about their jobs, about their lives, etc…but doing absolutely nothing to change it.\n\nI got here as a student, I became immigrant, I worked as a cleaner, I graduated at college.after 2y working full time I got the permanent residence, and I was back to school. \nI got a Master’s degree at McMaster University, and now I am a manager in a big hospital. \nImmigrants taking the jobs??? I don’t believe so. I did to deserve it. \n\nSo, don’t put everybody on the same basket. There are bad people I know, but also there are people willing to grow and make the country grow as well. \n\nLast, but not least, I don’t think the COUNTRY has more people that they can handle. I think the big cities have. Government should look into that. Everybody wants to come to Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary. It’s a big problem. \n\nToday I’m a Canadian Citizen, I respect the laws, I respect people, I respect the life in society, and I do not look to impose my culture in here, I’m proud to live here and I want this country to grow even more.

this is actually a really good summary of the situation. just like how India has their bad people who have caused problems we canadians also have similar people in who are just as troublesome if not worse such as the junkies on the streets who I see all the time here in Montreal and cause so much chaos. a big argument which I also feel like is that we should only allow the best of the best to immigrate to Canada. my mom was an immigrant and is an incredibly hard worker who is more than deserving of a Canadian citizenship and even my close friend who immigrated from India is just like that and is also 10x cleaner than anyone else I've ever lived with. the fact of the matter is that we need to bring back those high standards which we had in the past and crack down and send back those who abused the system and illegally entered the country. India is the largest population in the world, there are a lot of great people there that Canada would most definitely benefit from have but there are also a lot of crappy people as well, we just need to ensure that the ones who are coming here are of the latter and not the former
