I went to canada with my family when i was 6 years old i thought it was so beautiful the native americans treated us with kindness my dad bought me some moccisens there. A chinese immagrant restaurant owner was nice to us the white people many of them wrent very nice this was in 1969 in the summer but i loved the wilderness and wanted to go back and see the indians. I was a dreamer. Unfortenately and through my own fault after i got out of the military honerably discharged . I got a dui again it was my stupidity but i payed my fine did my jail time and got educated about not drinking and driving. It is not a felony i the US but it is in Canada so canada gets ahold of my driving records maybe they hacked in. And said i could not go into canada. I noticed they let george w. Busch in though oh well i dont think canada even pretends fainess under the law . Any way they are now letting elligals into canada and giving them a hotel room . The duplicity is absurd personally i no longer want to go to canada for anything i think the wall should be put on the northern border. When it came to our driving records there is no border does my information belong to a foriegn country? As US citizens do you think your information belongs to a other country?

It's everywhere!! Sometimes when I'm being followed in a store I'll ask security to help carry my items. They don't like that. I'm not a thief and I don't like being followed, so if you want to follow me then help!\nDirty jokes, police brutality, accusations and more. I'm expected to except it, well I don't. If it were done to them they would feel the same way I do. Here's the thing, I'm bi-racial (2/5 white). On applications they cross that out and mark black. That's a lie and makes me look untruthful. It's everywhere and needs to stop. Their fear makes everything elevated to levels that should not be in the twenty-first century. It's out-dated and really makes the person doing it out-dated and living in the past.

It is NOT just race. Depending on the bag or backpack you carry, you get followed, which I hate. And I'm not black. My mother also gets followed everywhere in every Macy's store. It drives me crazy. It's really annoying, because I think it's because my mom has big purses and I usually have my art backpack. \n\nWhen I'm in a different town, I get followed in Walmart all the time. If I forget my shopping bags, I will empty my backpack so I can use that to put all my items in at the end of the purchase.\n\n In Best Buy, I'm lucky to get anyone to help me at all!!! I have to hunt someone down, and most of the time, they don't know anything anyway. Target: I have a hard time finding anyone to help me as well. I haven't really done a social experiment, but sometimes I just have my shopping bags and fill them as I shop and I won't carry a purse.\n\nLocally, I don't get followed because my family and me are known in that town. We know a lot of people and my face is everywhere. I never get followed. But out of town Walmart, I get followed in certain stores. It irritates me immensely, especially since I buy a lot of make up and the make up department is cramped they way they block the end of the aisles. It makes it really hard to turn your cart around when other people are in the same aisle. Then they close the make up aisle even though they have tons of cameras all over!! \n\nOverall, I don't know WHERE these backhanded compliments are coming from. I normally hear stuff about my weight. Nothing about race ever. Nor do I ever hear others talking about race. Weight seems to be the hot topic always.\n\nI also find it weird that the one guy feels like he needs to apologize!

I see my son get treated very bad .\nBusiness people at the bank\n treated him horrible and he was trying to get help.\n\n basically jerked him around and I'd like to . People think that living in foreign countries us good and relaxing and you enjoy a lot. Well this is not true. I have one of my friends who told me the way he lives and works and studies in Canada. Believe me, you won't like to hear what he told me. He does two part time jobs starting from morning to afternoon at 3 and does another one from 4 to 8 and he barely gets 4 to 5 hours to study. At times when there are exams or tests in the college, he has to skip the work and go to the College but when he skips, he feels from deep inside that for today I don't have even this amount of money and believe me, staying in Canada or any other county is not as easy as eating a plate of rice and on the first time when you go to look for a job, you will get it at McDonald's or any type of restaurants. And the work my friend does is to cut meat at McDonald's in Canada.

I'm muslim but i dont like the arabs muslim (not all arabs but mostly of them) becuz of the way they behave. They are refugees from their own country but they are disrespectful to their destination country. The arabs are not grateful with what they have been given from the other country. If They wanna be one of the majority community, then they have to be thankful and accept the culture of the majority community .They must be fluent and well spoken in english too. And here I am watching this after I arrived home in the Philippines after a 2 years work permit and contract in Edmonton Alberta when my work permit renewal was rejected by immigration Canada and there is this fraud immigration thing. Well atleast I did my luck in an honest way rather than doing it the wrong way. I'd rather live a hard life here in the Philippines than living the Canadian dream illegally. I want to thank the canadians for being good to during my 2 years stay in Canada. Why doesn't the US do a flyover and drop leaflets to the migrants of how it's going to be at the border?. I don't know what Sharia Law/ Islam is all about to hate it that much. We have Muslims in our country. At least around 20% of the population. Maybe more than Australia... but there are as many different interpretation of Islam and Sharia Law, as the Bible and Christian denominations. What you probably have is the Radical Extremist type.... The type that doesn't accept differences in culture and the population they are in. They are the minority who wants to have the majority rule... We also have problems with Radical Islam and majority of the Muslim population in my country does not accept them that much. There are certainly discrimination against Muslim, but not as much as most western countries does. My advise is to not to generalize Muslims as one type of people. There are people in that community that does not believe in extremist interpretation of the law. Second, deport or watch radical extremist as they are dangerous to any multicultural society, like the white supremacist and Neo- Nazis in the US. Some of them are citizens. Deporting your own citizen to a different country is far-fetched. Third, accept them as part of a sub- culture, having their own ways within their group, yet under the laws of the nation they are living. The way they dress, polygamy, and women's rights are just some issues that Westerners usually cringe about. But there are other religions who practice these as well. Lastly, stop hating each other because your hate will empower extremism. \nReligion is either you are born with it until you are old/ mature enough to choose or an independent choice.

Even if they do try to do it the legal way sometimes they are not granted with any type of visa or green card. The government can deny their application for many reasons. So they end up crossing the border illegally. As well it is cheaper to cross the border than to apply for a visa or some sort of legal document. Many of these “lawbreakers” you suggest to be in jail have tired to do everything the legal way but it didn’t work out. Immigrants risk their lives and their love ones to have a better life, to be able to work to be able to have things that it’s impossible to have in their country. Profiling exists with whites too, but it has to do with appearance, class and perceived intelligence; it isn't all about colour or race.\n\nI am a larger guy, with a shaved head and a beard. Sometimes I wear a suit and sometimes I am in jeans, a t-shirt and/or a leather jacket. When in a suit I am treated completely differently from when I am in my motorcycle or bumming around clothes. It is a fact that people profile everyone based on appearance, language (verbal ability), and how they are acting. Unfortunately, a person with visible differences, such as skin colour, can't change into something that attracts less attention, but, a black man in a suit is still less likely to be profiled than one in everyday clothes.\n\nAlso, I am well spoken, which makes a difference in the way I am treated. If you speak in a way that makes you sound less educated or of a lower class, then you are treated differently.\n\nTry sending in a white guy who is less clean-cut and less well-spoken and see the difference in the way he is treated. Have him act a bit nervous, look around a lot, or appear to be less than middle or upper class and see the difference in how he is treated. I guarantee he won't get good offers in those apartment buildings, if he gets any offers at all.\n\nA friend once told me a story about a friend of his who was very well off. This man went into an exclusive car dealership to look at a car on display. He didn't like to appear as well of as he was, so often wore simple jeans and t-shirt. When he asked the price of the car, the salesman took one look at his clothing an told him he couldn't afford the car. White profiling at its finest.

So I'm in a dilemma of whether I should move down to Florida and live with my American girlfriend, or stay up here and support her moving up here in Canada. My main issue is health care. I just hear many people have bad service and poor treatment with insurance down there, but it all depends what insurance your applying with. People are fairly nice, but there are also some douche bags as well so I'm not surprised. With my overall budget, I could likely stay down there for about a few months or so. Here in Canada, taxes are a little higher, but it's worth it (Some idiot said our taxes are lower), health care is paid for, winters are cold but anyone can survive through it. Some say Canada is a socialist (which is Not -_-). Liberal party is ruining Canada as it is in a way. But again, it's better Justin than Trump. (Betting for Scheer). Idk, politics is bad in both countries I say. Idk, I'm likely missing some things here. Should I move down with my girlfriend, or stay up and support her moving up here?

Let's put it another way... I was born in Canada and I had moved abroad at 30 for work and was gone for about 10 years. When I got back, it happened to be the same year our PM was waiting at the airport for the arrival of some refugees with winter coats for them and their Medicare cards, as well as housing provided for them. I had to run around for a full month trying to get my drivers license renewed since it had expired, and had to wait a full 6 months to get a probationary Medicare card, p-r-o-b-a-t-i-o-n-a-r-y....I felt outraged. I am not saying that many don't have a valid reason to flee their country, but when they know that they will receive housing and cash, of course people will flock to Canada, even if they aren't fleeing something.

They make life worse for themselves. They have to live in fear of being deported in the U.S and well in mexico you also have to fear cartels. Especially the new ones who are no value of life at all. They honestly just need to overthrow the Mexican government. It's the only way.

I'd like to address this to the woman who went to one of Trump's rallies dressed as a Moslem with her head covered with a scarf and having a sign that reads, 'I come in peace'. I don't know why she was asked to be escorted out, but by her own words the people in the crowd were throwing questions at her as to whether she had a bomb under her cloak. Well, whether she knew it or not, she provoked the crowd by wearing the mark of a Moslem - her cloak. Also, by going to the rally dressed the way she was, she knew before hand that she'd be treated that way. On her part, I see that as provocation. Had she gone plainly dressed or attired like everybody else, there would have been no adverse reaction toward her. I don't know what she could have said why she was asked to be escorted out, but she fully knows that the whole of America had been given the real and true picture of Islam - one of terror, murder, beheading, bombs, war, and blood. How do Moslems expect the most compassionate, kind, benevolent people in the world to act? So, please, use your common sense and do not see America as the enemy, the aggressor, or the provocateurs. They're not. They are just being vigilant knowing that the enemy could be so sly, cunning and untrustworthy. Islamic people,we welcomed you to our country. Don't think that we are not watching you. We have given you a new start for a happy life compared to the life you have had in your native lands, but we are guarding against an invasion that your evil governments have designed for our beloved country. Canada is going the way of Europe (France, Belgium - even England). Religions are all absurd nonsense, but this one is particularly worrisome, advocating violence, the destruction of infidels and installation of shariah law. More political than mystical, really.
