This person was born a man and tried to change to a women. HE should be able to do what he wants in his personal life but not in the military. To actually go out and try to force your body to change to a women from man is not normal.

Why would the military give special treatment to any single group. This is exclusive not inclusive.

Canada has been recruiting for the armed forces here trying to entice more woman to its ranks. This includes air force. Perhaps we might do a little head hunting south of the border as the removal of transgender DEI (woman) pilots( jet trained) in military already trained seasoned and having see combat in many cases would be an amazing addition to encourage even more woman here to enlist in our Military as a life career! JUST A THOUGHT! Saves money!

I can’t join the military because I have bad teeth and the military understands they can’t have me on a battlefield with a tooth infection but trans can’t understand that you can’t be on a battlefield with a dick that turned into a vagina which has a high likelihood of infection if you do your research.

some good points.. Though wasn't clear on some things.. they have to take meds daily and that's a liability just like women and their monthly cycle among other things.\nI say if pretty clear headed like this person they have a spot in the military just not in any combat or vital role.

Serving your country is a privilege, not a right. The military historically does not accept people with serious medical issues, period.

I do not believe any trans gender should be in the military do to their real sex gender. If you are a woman n change your looks to be a man how can you protect another troop? You do not have the strength that a REAL MAN born a man has a woman cannot over power another man. Its ridiculous to think you can be what you were not born. You were born 1 gender EXCEPT it not change it.

I have seen no evidence that a person who is delsional is not suffering a mental illness. I have seen it expressed legally but not medically. And in this type of case it requires a review of the medical side of things before issuing any legal determination. Testimony to Congress proved that the studies did not include all the relevant data to support their cause. So the previous court ruling could be overturned and will be at some point. I would not serve under a transgender person in the military. I would exit the military. I do not think delusional people should be allowed to handle firearms.

I'm sure if Trump wasn't afflicted with bone spurs, his military service would have totally crushed this Navy Commander's service.

When the military say we don’t need these people is purely because of a medical condition. They need constant medication and the government pay for this. My mate was fired for getting diabetes from the RAAF coz of the same excuse: wake up! We need the best of the best/. She is much more gracious than I think I would be able to muster up in her given situation. I'm an Army veteran and I support her fully. It always fills me with pride and excitement to see strong, exemplary women leading the way in our military ?

Anyone who’s been in the military knows that military readiness is extremely important and is taken very seriously. Serviceman can’t deploy if their dental is overdue. Meanwhile, Steve I mean Sarah is getting hormone injections and then getting sent off to fly a military jet ?‍♂️

I had a friend who's mom put her in mental hospital when she was younger. She told them she threatened self harm. She didn't, her mom was just a Bitc$. Later she went into military when she got older and that 3 month visit in hospital cost her a promotion. YES THE MILITARY REQUIRES YOU TO BE MENTALLY FIT.

Absolutely no US taxpayer money should be used for gender reassignment procedures. Any of these people that underwent gender reassignment surgery that was paid for by the military should be required to pay this money back with interest.

Thank you for your amazing service to our country, Cmdr Shilling. I am 100% on the side of our LGBTQ+ communities living their lives to the fullest as they see fit. As a veteran myself, I see no reason why any such lifestyle would hinder them or others from serving in the military if they so chose.

This person has to take female hormones for the rest of his/her life!! If I had to take insulin for the rest of my life, I would therefore be disqualified from the military!! Also, if I was currently on antidepressants, I would not allowed to even join the military.
