When I visit America, I always just feel anxious about guns. I'm sure it's super rare to actually get shot and stuff, but it's always on my mind. I just can't imagine that theres probably tons of people with guns around. It makes me a lot more afraid of the poor areas, which I find are more extreme in general. This is the main reason. I am also a little uncomfortable with how the public school system is funded differently by area. I'm used to all schools having close to the same standards.

I can total relate to that in terms of making new friends. I am a Czech pilot and our company contracts us with different companies. I spent over half a year in Canada between 2018-2020. I have returned for the first time since Corona pandemic and I was shocked by the price increase everywhere. Cost of leaving is really punishing for many and retiring here while maintaining a decent life style is almost impossible for regular people. I'm from India and was in Indianapolis on work for one month. I thought i'll go nuts from the sheer lack of human contact. Practically nobody to talk to, the roads are empty, the streets are empty. If you start a random conversation with a guy in the street, he totally freaks out. Maybe it's different in other places but man it was very very depressing and i just couldn't wait to fly back. Of course, i love American people and they are very warm if you know them from before but strangers exchanging pleasantries, that is absent. It would be nice to just see people on the streets but no. High home prices and bleak job opportunities have produced a generation of angry isolated people incapable of making friends easily. Being a Vancouver native for 72 years allows me to see your problems from a different viewpoint. You are correct it’s a Vancouver issue about ghosting people that you will not see in Toronto Edmonton Saskatoon or Campbell River for that matter. People who enjoy living in very dry warm climates should live there. Housing would be much cheaper in most Muslim countries and no need to have the heater on 24/7 just to stay warm . The sports is so different, Grid Iron in summer and Hockey in winter. Soccer is much easier and to play Cricket all you need is a bat, stumps and a ball and off you go all day.?

We’ve been here since more than a year now and we don’t have a car and we love the pollution free air here and the work life balance. If you live downtown, you don’t need a car as public transport is very convenient. If you don’t want to do things on your own and you definitely need the help from maids and so on, then Canada isn’t for you. It all depends on where you find a house. Very few people in downtown own cars. If you want to live a healthier life, Canada is a good place for that. We came in winters and settled with the help of relatives and thankfully it’s been good so far. Summers are amazing here. Job market is a struggle currently but it’s not permanent. And it is possible to find a job from India if you try for it. If you’re in IT, you don’t need to start from scratch. There are Indian stores almost everywhere and many Indian restaurants as well. You just need to find your place. And it’s an amazing place for plant based vegan people. Food quality is amazing and great safety restrictions. Healthcare also depends on where you live. If you find your people and friends and keep socializing with family, loneliness won’t be there. It’s better to move to a new country when you don’t have kids. \nAlso the accent gradually develops and there’s nothing to worry about. This place is very diverse and there are people with very different accents from all around the world. There is some struggle initially but it all depends on what your priorities are. Life here is very comfortable once you get used to the lifestyle here and the biggest thing is, work life balance and the quality of life. If you want to do things other than your job, this is a good place to do that. Kids also become much more independent here. Rest it all depends on what your goals in life are. Also one of the biggest factors is, if your partner/husband isn’t willing to help with housework or cooking, you can’t survive here. As simple as that. Many factors to consider.

As a landlord, here's the difference between international students and migrants: One has money and pays me rent monthly on time, while the other one sleeps in the park, or somewhere else, PAID by the government. I moved to Mexico & everything about my life is better not to mention the weather and the people here are friendlier & generous, the sense of history, culture & architecture is incredible so many different climates to explore. I remember canada immigration has a certain standard and requirements. There were different immigration program such as family class business class. When it comes to student visa graduates studies were offered on funding and scholarships.recently we can see number of high school graduates to attend community College. Canadian takes grant student loan to start any program in college and universities imagine international students from developing countries where the tuition fee is almost double I don't understand the screening process of students.
