Let them come thru. They work harder than most Americans do. Who builds are highways, schools, and houses? They do. We have homeless Americans begging for handouts everyday but u don't see immigrants doing that. Go look at any construction crew or people that work the slaughter house. I bet u won't find many Americans that want to do those jobs

Im mexican and Im sick of immigrants. I'm a manager of a family from Nicaragua, and they work harder than a lot of my American crew members. Central American people are some of the hardest workers and just want to work and raise their families in a safe, wholesome environment.\nI love the men and women I train. They want to learn more of the safety procedures and how to do things by policy, instead of cheating, they work hard and very fast, they learn English very fast and they love to teach me Español. They're some of my favorite workers and favorite people in general in my workplace. I'm working on getting a couple of them promoted to management with me.

They need to pass an amendment that they get no welfare, free housing, or medical insurance. They’re not entitled to enter or receive anything from Americans and they’ll pass 7&8 countries when they’re supposed to go to the first country they come to. We had a President that was against this, that wanted a wall. Now, we’re giving free housing, food, phones, healthcare, paid job training and even higher education, and the list goes on! I live in the border and I see Venezuelan people everyday walking in the streets, with no house, or a car, just walking with old clothes and shoes. I get where you're coming from, no one is more patriotic than myself but bro this is the land of hope. My grandfather who raised me is an immigrant who left a life of no hope and growth to come here. He was deported 12 times but each time fought to come back. Now he is a father of 4 grandfather of 7 American citizens. He is the pride of our family for how much of an outstanding person he is. It's unconscionable that we've invited people to come to Canada without actually following through on the promise we made to them in the first place. Was it all just sloganeering designed to appeal to liberal progressive NIMBYers? Was there ever any intent on actually doing something for these poor people beyond a sound bite or photo op? \n\nThe solution to migration because of war, terror, famine and so on is not by opening up the borders and allowing everyone in, the solution to mass migrations (over 100 million worldwide) is to tackle the conditions that make such migrations necessary. Almost without exception, each one of these migrant/refugee situations are the result of political problems that have to be tackled in those countries where the conditions exist. There are over 100 million people fleeing conditions that make life unbearable, even if we wanted to, how are we to take them all into North America? How does anyone propose we do that, and even if we could manage it somehow, another 100 million would show up on our doorstep next year...or next week...it's simply not possible or reasonable to expect us to be overwhelmed by wave after wave of the poor unfortunate. The solutions to war and famine abroad can't be found here and we need to make it plain that people who live in such conditions must first rise up to help themselves. We can and should help, politically, through foreign aid and individual donations (North Americans are among the most generous donators after all), and even militarily where feasible or possible. The UN and other coalitions of nations, must each take up the burdens before people smugglers take it up for them. We have our own problems to deal with here and I'm not willing to vote for promises made that were never meant to be kept.

I came here as a refugee from the Bosnian war when I was a little girl, I know all these people want is a safer place to raise their kids, and steady employment (they will take the jobs Americans are picky about any day!) I barely see Americans at the warehouses I’ve worked at.
