Recently i had been to canada . I stayed in Vancouver a beautiful city surrey a city 35 kms from Vancouver is full of punjabis where you feel like a punjab state. Everything available there. A nice place.

Frankly why has Canada allowed in SO MANY people from a few specific countries under the pretense of studying if the gvt knows so well that is not what many if not most intend to do in the first place? Only if our immigration policy is strict enough to protect our citizens. International students should not be allowed to work. They should not be allowed to stay after graduation. If they want to migrate to Canada, they should apply from their home country. No short cut or priority given to them!

That's very interesting. I've lived in South Korea for the past 35 years and, in many ways, have enjoyed a privileged life here. After the COVID outbreak, II quit my job and traveled all around the world, including 1yr staying in Toronto. During that period, I experienced firsthand the inflation and social challenges Canada was facing. After much thought, I came to the same realization as you—I need to leave my home country. Ironically, I’m about to move to the very place you're leaving.???I admire your courage in embracing this new challenge and hope you find a place you'll truly love. The surging housing price, cost of living, homelessness, social unrest, and immigration concerns are global issues, particularly in so-called developed countries. I wonder why these Indians don't wanna stay in their own country? Canada is like 2nd India now. They're everywhere! \n\nThey are very rude and arrogant and have no manners! They love to congregate in the pantry and talk gossip about their managers, coworkers or other employees while speaking in their native language. They are loud. They smell. No offense can't they practice some hygiene?

I live in Canada over 14yrs, lot of things have changed over the time due to mass immigration esp bcoz of Indian community people bringing their same attitude here in Canada without trying to adapt here, nevertheless I will still prefer life here than going back to India saying this because I just returned from India staying there for a month and would say I prefer my life in Canada ?\nAlso, I noticed every few months or say a video comes up with the name of Canada which gets u a lot of views ?

NO!\n\n3- Did the Canadian government provide the newly arrived immigrants with a sufficient monthly payment, including the rent of a house befitting human dignity, balanced and sufficient nutrition expenses, summer and winter clothing, daily transportation costs within the city, monthly house bills, communication and correspondence expenses, equal and sufficient education payment, cultural activities and a daily pocket money so that they can live humanely?...... NO!\n\n4- Did the Canadian government provide the newly arrived immigrants with a solid, safe and clean social structure where they can live freely without any risk to themselves and their families, where they feel completely safe and without any fear, anxiety and concern in terms of attack and crime?....... NO!\n\n5- Did the Canadian government provide the newly arrived immigrants with a democratic state and a fair social society structure where there is no racism, discrimination, inequality of opportunity, favoritism, incompetence and harassment, whether covert or overt?........ NO!\n\n6- Did the Canadian government grant any right to vote or be elected to immigrants who came to the country legally during their stay in Canada until they became citizens, did they give them the right to vote for the party or people who would govern them, did they give them the right to vote at least in local elections other than general elections? ....... NO!\n\n-So, do you think that the Canadian government, which does not fulfill any of these, is a country ready to accept immigrants? ....... OF COURSE NO!\n\nTHEN, the Canadian State and its government do not have the right to say a single word about immigrants, and the Canadian State should now prepare the trillions of dollars that the immigrants themselves will pay as a result of the compensation lawsuits they will file against all these human rights violations that the state has implemented against immigrants for years, in a planned and systematic manner, unfairly and mercilessly. The Canadian government has deliberately left the immigrants it has accepted into the country, whether they are illegal or legal, hungry, helpless, unemployed and poor, has implemented all kinds of racism, discrimination and harassment against immigrants, has torn families apart, has never allowed them to feel safe in Canada, has not taken any timely, appropriate, necessary and primary duty measures to ensure this, and has done all these within the scope of its fully conscious and previously established anti-immigrant policies and the plans and programs to which those policies belong, because otherwise it could not use and exploit immigrants to their core, in this sense, it is the Canadian State itself that is carrying out human smuggling and immigrant trafficking.

It is the oddest and dumbest thing to protest in a country you're not even a citizen of. If you are this unhappy that you are protesting, you are supposed to pack your bags and leave. Protesting should be reserved to people born and raised in that country and would like to see effective change. There is no benefit for non citizens to stay in Canada for Canadians.

Disclaimer: Canadian of East Indian Descent here. Went through the pathway of studies-work-residency-citizenship\n\nLet me simplify the story for all of you guys here that lacks immigration intel. \n\n1) The quality of migrants you see here is not what Canada needs long term. It’s not a matter of ethnicity, but Canada needs to import talented and educated folks in medicine, engineering, trades etc. None of these individuals are interested in studying and are either attending 3rd grade colleges/universities to get a work permit and hoped to stay on. \n\n2) Shoddy sales tactics include lying or ‘avoiding stating the obvious’ that could make you lose the deal. This is exactly what the Canadian government did with these people. The Canadian dream was sold somewhat properly before 2017/2018 I would say. Post Covid there was a MASSIVE need of manpower in minimum wage jobs. The government could not afford increasing minimum wage at the time and international students would do exactly those jobs and bring in millions of dollars in tuition fees. The government opened the gates for these strip-mall colleges to take unprecedented numbers of students with allowances to work. These students were sold the exact same dream that a top quality University/college student is sold about Canada. They needed to be used at the time. And if they would’ve been told that their quality of students are only needed temporarily, they wouldn’t have come. The labour shortage at the time wouldn’t have been solved. So a CATCH 22 of the highest order. \n\n3) Canada CANNOT give in to such protests as it will set the worst example of migrant pandering for future generations. The best talent will refrain from entering Canada and more and more of these types of immigrants who do not want to assimilate to the Canadian culture will want to keep on coming.

Who would want to stay in India. Indians migrated there in Canada for a reason. Canada is such a pushover to be bullied by Indians ?

In the Ontario town I grew up in back in the 60's, most families had at least four children, most dads had factory jobs and most moms were stay at home moms. Most families owned modest three bedroom homes, kids played sports, had bicycles, food on the table and never felt poor. If you are under 30 today, the Canada you are in absolutely SUCKS by comparison. When I graduated high school in the mid 70's I could have got a factory job that paid 10k a year and bought a modest home for 20k. Now, in the same town, a person earning 100k needs about 800k to buy that same house. So, people under 30 are giving up on getting married, having children and buying homes. Canada, thanks to Justin Trudeau, is on its way to becoming a third world country, but without cheap food.

Punjabis do anything to come to Canada. Even they get IELTS score by bribing. I couldn't stay with them in Brampton. Brampton is a mini India. Once your student permit expires, you go back to your country of origin. If you want to apply for PR, this should be done from your home country. Work permits should be suspended while Canada is suffering with job loss. CIC needs stop issuing PR to individules who've overstayed in Canada past their permit expiry, not proceed with the PR file. This is a mess, and Liberal government has known about it for decades. No student or worker has the right to stay past their permit expiry, period.

Racism against Indians is increasing. I was born here and they treated us like dirt then and treat us like dirt now. Student visas are just an excuse to be racist. They feel emboldened because we don't speak up. We don't speak up cause Indians are too busy separating themselves from each other. The separation is the reason you see so many racist comments towards Indians and nobody else. Even the ignorant Indians try and put all the blame on one group like Punjabis or Gujus. I’m Ukrainian, and I came to Canada in 2024 through the CUAET program. I work remotely for a U.S. company, but it feels impossible to survive here with my current salary. If I stay longer than six months, I’ll have to pay taxes, which would leave me struggling to afford rent and basic necessities like food. I’ve never seen bread and eggs as expensive as they are here, not even in Paris, one of the most tourist-visited cities in the world, where prices are much lower than in Canadian supermarkets. It doesn’t feel like Canada offers me protection—instead, it feels like a vacuum that’s draining all my savings. Before 2022, in Kyiv, I lived a far better life than the average Canadian today, with my own apartment, car, and the ability to travel wherever I wanted for vacations.\nSo I leave in October while I have some money yet. Don't come to Canada assuming study permits automatically means you will get Canadian citizenship.

International students are in Canada to study and should be financially secure to make that travel to Canada to study for a few years. After their graduation, they should depart and return to their home countries… no one should be allowed to stay if the society doesn’t need your skill set at that moment of time. \n\nThere are many options for them:\n\n1. Make their motherland great by contributing to their own economy;\n2. Be a good ambassador for their own country while in Canada by respecting our rule of law;\n3. Depart when your temporary time in a foreign country is up! If not, expect to be removed by force!

It’s about time to ask foreigners to leave our country. They’re not welcome to stay because they’re taking our entry level jobs. Canada has no obligations to help with the youth unemployment in their home countries. PERIOD

Remove the license for international students to work. Their stay in Canada will depend on their entry visa. For example, you have visitor visa, your privileges in Canada is based on term limit of visitation and cannot be change to any status like refugee or family reunification.

Firstly your country has a very stupid policy on international students. All most all of them come there for economic reasons. They enroll in stupid courses which in any case will not contribute to your country. Why can’t you have a system where their attendance in classrooms is kept a track of and any one having less than say 75% is warned and after three warnings sent home. Once they successfully complete their course, they are given six months to stay and then sent back. Keep only the ones who can be of asset to Canada. Else your country will soon become another country like the UK is now.

Actually you can just claim refugee status and stay in Canada. It is a LOOP hole in the immigration system. Sorry to be a snitch. People arrive under visitor visa and then claim refugee status. It works as of now Sept 8, 2024. Not sure when that loop hole will be closed. Have a nice day!

The reason they don't want to speak is because they can't speak English. Their command of the language is so poor yet they want to stay in Canada. Majority came through the student visa route as a means to get a work permit. They are abusing our system. These people must be sent home asap and our immigration system must be changed. Immigration agents who make promises they can't keep must have their licences revoked. We don't need anymore Tim Horton's workers. Tim Horton's and alike should invest in tech that allows for a less labor intensive option. Our govt. is either too blind or pandering to their corporate donors to the detriment of Canadians. Our youth unemployment rate is running at over 14% and yet the govt. issues these foreigners work permits. Disgusting.
