So many people come and commit crimes, ignore our laws and live off the government. We needed certain skilled people and I could care less what country they come from as that immigration is crucial to our economy and population. Right now there isn't enough housing for our own citizens. It's irresponsible. If families want to sponsor an immigrant family that's awesome. The rest of us want our tax money actually going to our citizens. That's not racist, that's common sense.

Landlords are taking advantage of supply and demand and over charge people. People I guess are saying F you! Were in a housing crisis and there are human rights laws . Peoples fundalmental rights under the code are being violated. I would say class action law suit against Canadian government. They increased immigration from 1x to 4x in a short period of time in a neglience way. I think Canadians are wimps compared to Americans...you know in the US everyone sues. I agree with more immigration and this can be only better for us Canadians but only with the right amount of planning for housing, services and goods. Otherwise this is pushing Canadians into poverty and can only hurt our economy. I am against immigration because they can't uphold the increase in demands. I'm Canadian. Canada isn't the same anymore. Everyone is basically broke right now, no onr can find work, and if you can, you still won't be making enough to keep up with inflation. im a Canadian that is contemplating leaving Canada, car got broken into twice in the past 2 months here in Calgary. never happened in the 17 years i stayed here. mass immigration is fked up. it took us 5 years to migrate the right and some of these folks just walk in and get accepted

People I know you don't want to hear this, but it looks like we may have to fight. Right now, we are in political turmoil and so they feel we are weak and would be the best time to run over us. They're not leaving unless the system puts them in jail somewhere.

Im not sure they all want to go to the US. I Mexico right now, people are all wanting to go to Canada over the US. They can live and work easy in Canada, and the economy is strong. Almost as strong as the US. Most Mexicans know this and plan to go to Canada. This is why most immigrants you see coming to the US illegally are not Mexican

I am a permanent resident of Canada and born in the US. I live right outside of Montreal. I actually went to Plattsburgh, NY three times in past two months and each time while on my way back from Plattsburgh, I would encounter several migrants at the bus stop shown on the video. In one of my encounters I saw a group of them wearing ankle monitors. I would see vans standing at the gas station picking up and dropping off migrants. These drivers are helping the problem just to make money. I just heard on the news that greyhound changed the bus stop in Plattsburgh a couple of weeks ago and I wonder if it's because of the illegal migrants. I have been going to Plattsburgh by bus for many years and I've never seen migrants inundate the area as I have in the past year. I knew about Mexicans flying over to Canada so they can walk across the boarder into the US but I didn't know it was this bad. I don't see this problem going away unless Canada works with the US to solve it. It's getting scary out there because there are criminals who has committed serious crimes in their home country and come here on a clean slate to continue their criminal activity. When does this torture end?

It is so ridiculous that they say on the video that Mexican citizens have a better chance to get across the border from Canada when the US pushed Canada to ask Mexican citizens for a Visa and Canada obeyed right immediately. All those peopele are coming from other countries.

Even though I am Canadian, I do not agree with how our government is allowing the migrants into the US so easily. The US has every right to prevent illegal migrants from entering the US.

All you have to do is put 2 and 2 together. Look at what's happening around the world. We're not the only country allowing millions of people in, and we're not the only country embracing socialism. Context:\n\nAround a year or two ago driving back home with some friends after visiting Niagara Falls, we were pulled over because my car’s headlights were off. I didn’t stop immediately when they turned their police lights on because I didn’t think I did anything wrong but did eventually pull over after realizing they were indeed trying to pull me over. \n\nAfter I pulled over, two officers quickly got out and one of them rushed to my passenger side mirror and very aggressively yelled at me, “why didn’t you pull over” etc. I was very surprised by his reaction and quickly explained that I was a fairly new driver (about 6 months of driving experience at the time). He went away for a few seconds to cool off and later apologized for his behavior (very respectable).\n\nMain Focus:\n\nNow, the interesting part is while the officer was cooling off, the other officer wanted not just my ID but everyone else’s’ in my car as well. I still to this day do not think that is normal, however, I haven’t been pulled over enough to confirm that. Anyways, some of my friends didn’t have officials IDs on them but they did have their student ID. The police wanted that as well. They took a long time to what I assume, conduct a very thorough check on everyone’s ID, making sure nothing is suspicious and everyone is from America. The whole encounter had to be around 20 to 30 minutes long, it was very very long. \n\nTakeaway:\n\nFrom what I experienced that day, I strongly believe that people were at least crossing the northern border around 1 year ago and most likely even earlier. There are bus services that go straight to NYC from Buffalo which is right across the border from Canada to the US. However, I’m not sure if you need ID to use those services. \n\nFor those who read this comment, use this information however you will, I hope it helps even just a little in making some sort of change. \n\nHopefully, there won’t be an increase on how long it takes me to get past border patrol to Canada and back ?. I also hope that our taxes decrease because too much of it are being payed for services to aliens when some of our locals are still stuck in the streets.

I wish I also got 1400 a month, free food, free housing, free everything. Hell, I work full time to pay my taxes and my bills, while supporting my elderly mother and disabled brother. At-will employment where the employer can terminate an employee for any reason at any time works in the US where jobs are abundant, salaries are high and living costs are low but it should be a criminal offense in Canada where good jobs are already so difficult to find and living costs are so high. I have some comments about some of the things in the video. Including Olivia Chow in the video when talking about housing affordability with local government policies I don't think is right to inlcude her as she only got elected last year and has to deal with all the decisions and issues from the past Toronto mayor. It's similar to blaming Biden for the economic issues of the US when a lot of the reasons for the downturn economy in the US during his first term was the impact of the economic policies that Trump put in place, it takes time. In terms of the carbon tax, I think its a valid criticism with the compounding issues canadians are facing, but also take into consideration that the provincial governments also have some play with this, as they have the ability to go for the standard carbon tax or implement a cap and trade. A lot of conservative governments like to complain about the federal government about this, but they are also to blame for some of the lack of affordability for political points. As well for the banking fees, we do have a smaller selection of banks, but there are some options that Canadians can have that do not include fees (Simplii, Tangerine). Everything else in the video I agree on, I also think personally that all political parties need a shake up in leadership.

I've lived most of my life in the DMV and right outside of New Orleans and recently moved to the Bay Area in California. The comment about the US being statistically diverse but culturally segregated is true pretty much everywhere but mostly in the south. The different cultures intermingle wayyyy more in the Bay Area

I’m Indian, born and raised in Canada. My parents came here in 1994 and they made the best decision for our future. We adjusted to Canadian culture and have respect for the country that gave us opportunity. It makes me disgusted seeing my own kind come here and make a mockery of such a good country. When the cost of US healthcare can bancrupt people, I think it should be a factor when considering how livable a country is. While good tapwater is common in Canadian cities, indigenous people may not have access to it it parts of Canada. I look at American laws and find they infringe on human rights we have in Canada.

After living in Brampton now for like 3 years, you can feel the change. Before British went to India, Indians were not migrating outside of India. India was a group of rich kingdoms. British ruined our country and robbed it for 200 years. They left the country in 1947 in very poor condition, dividing it in to 2 countries, India and Pakistan. I am most certainly in the minority here, as a Canadian. There are a number of things is dislike about the USA; I hate the political climate(but the Canadian one is turning into a dumpster fire too), I dislike how separation of church and state is not existent and how in some states religious beliefs influence policy to infringe on personal rights of everyone, and health care is shit if you don’t have money or a job that traps you. \n\nBut I also love that individual states have more rights than our provinces. That means you can find a state with values that fit yours more so than finding a province. I, personally, would find a state in which I was allowed to carry tools to defend myself(Canada does not allow self defence tools at all), and I would find one that values personal autonomy. \n\nIm definitely an outlier in Canada and the USA. Let me have my guns, don’t tell women what they can do with their bodies, make sure the poor have healthcare, and leave me the hell alone. I’m neither right wing or left wing. There’s are aspects of some places in the US I love, and some overall national themes I don’t. But I wouldn’t move to any other country than the United States.
