I find that the majority of the Muslim people who have been brought to Canada. Are very rude to Canadians, and seem to want to change Canada into their controlling and abusive ways. I think it's disgusting that they can come here, and try to change our system and take advantage of Canada's services. We need to stop these people from coming to Canada, as they've proven already, that they are not willing to conform to our Canadian way of life! If you don't like it, get out of Canada!!!

Racism dont make sense. Dont judge on race or skin color; judge on culture and religion and how human- and womens-rights are handled by those two institutions in the society and countries the people who seem foreign to you are from. Then find out if these people wants to bring those elements of their culture with them to their new country. Then make your judgement. And do remember to hate all religions equally ;)

While racism is real, there are certain people from some religious dicatorships in Canada spying on the free people of this country and making people uncomfortable too. there are those who want to push their beliefs on all Canadians and there has to be a balance in terms of acceptance and inclusiveness. I find many times people also play the race or discrimination card to push their beliefs and ways of life on others while I have heard them for example swear at and judge Canadians for example who don't cover up their hair or wear mini skirts......that is also discrimination and judgement and is also 100% wrong, even though they may be doing it quietly or in their own language. There is sometimes (besides obvious cases of racism of course) that there are 2 sides to the story! People that come to Canada also need to respect its values of respect for all, not just ask for it for themselves. While a lot of wonderful people come here and have the utmost respect for Canada that is NOT the case with those pushing their beliefs and particularly religious views on the rest of Canadians making them feel like outsiders I have heard many stories about.

Psychology student here. In the interest of accurate information, I would like to point out some flaws I find with some of the studies in this documentary and question the conclusions reached. I understand that CBC Marketplace are not personality psychologists and therefore cannot be expected to produce the same quality of work as a scientist. However, I think it is worthwhile to think critically about the information in the media that we consume. I am also open to anyone who wants to engage in debating the contents of this documentary.\n\n\nThe following are some notes I took while watching the documentary outlining the individual hypotheses of the studies I think are flawed and descriptions of their respective accompanying errors. \n\n\nThere are three possible research questions, and thereby dependent variables, being answered by the apartment hunting studies.\n1. If there is no discrimination between the white man and the first-nations man, then they should get equal treatment, including quotes and availability, when apartment hunting. \na. Could the gender of the landlord be a confounding variable (perhaps men are more discriminatory than women)? \n \n2. If there is no discrimination between the white man and the first-nations man between Toronto, Montreal, Regina, and Victoria, then they should get equal treatment, including quotes and availability, when apartment hunting. \na. Could total apartments visited be a confounding variable? (4 in Toronto, 3 in Montreal, Regina, and Victoria) \nb. Could the gender of the landlord be a confounding variable (perhaps men are more discriminatory than women)? \nc. They only showed the black man apartment hunting in some of the trials. I am considering him out of the study for consistency purposes. The first-nations man is the only one who got unfair treatment in the footage of apartment hunting. \n \n3. Possible hypothesis: If male landlords/agents are more discriminatory than female landlords/agents, then the white man and the first-nations man will get different treatment at different Canadian apartments in equally diverse cities. \na. Don’t know all the information about the genders of the landlords/agents, not all the footage is shown, but the ones where they get ripped off are male. The others shown are female. The remaining interactions are not shown.\n\n\nThere are also some factors that may have influenced the racial bias survey and, in my estimation, rendered it scientifically unreliable.\n\n\n1. The bias survey and accompanying tests at the CBC attributed the differences between the studies to unconscious racism. What if it was just due to familiarity with certain racial groups over others? \na. The black participants had no bias between European-American and African Americans, supposedly indicating no racism, while the white and first-nations participants did, supposedly indicating racism. Is it possible that another interpretation of this result is that bias is a function of familiarity: that we are comfortable with the majority demographic in the geographical location we live in, as well as our own kind. Therefore, the black guys are less biased against black people due to being both black and living in a white majority demographic? \nb. The participants took the survey knowing the objectives of the researchers was to study racial discrimination. They might have influenced the answers they gave \nc. Whether the participants agreed with identity politics or not was a confounding factor that was not controlled . You can only be racially unbiased biased if you think that racial identity is a means of accurately viewing the world. People who do not believe in the existence of identity politics may answer the questions quite differently, which could be a different reason for the results.\nd. I took the study myself. The words that participants were required to match were a mix of adjectives and nouns. It is known within psychology that nouns have higher levels of imagery. This was not properly controlled and therefore is another confounding variable. \n \nAll the other studies looked fine to me. I welcome any discussion on my observations.

For almost 150 years the Liberal Left has been conducting an experiment. The subjects of the experiment: African people and working-class whites. Over the protests of parents, they put white children on buses and sent them to African schools and vice versa.\n\nThey tried with money, special programs, relaxed standards, and endless hand-wringing to close the “achievement gap.” To keep white backlash in check they began punishing public and even private statements on race.\n\nThey hung up Orwellian public banners that commanded whites to “Celebrate Diversity!” and “Say No To Racism.”\n\nNothing was off limits if it might salvage the experiment.\nSome thought that the Talented Tenth would lead the way for African people. A group of elite, educated Africans would knock down doors of opportunity and show the world what Africans were capable of. There is a Talented Tenth. They are the African Americans who have become entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors and scientists. But ten percent is not enough. For the experiment to work, the ten percent has to be followed by a critical mass of people who can hold middle-class jobs and promote social stability. That is what is missing.\n\nThrough the years, too many African people continue to show an inability to function and prosper in a culture unsuited to them.\n\nDetroit is bankrupt, the south side of Chicago is a war zone, and majority-black cities all over America are beset by degeneracy and violence. And Africans rarely take responsibility for their failures. Instead, they lash out in anger and resentment. Across the generations and across the country, as we have seen in Detroit, Watts, Newark, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, and now Ferguson, rioting and looting are just one racial incident away.\n\nThe white elite would tell us that this doesn’t mean the experiment has failed. We just have to try harder. We need more money, more time, more understanding, more programs, more opportunities. It makes no sense to wear nakaabs and burkha in western countries. You want to follow the traditions of the religion and on the other side you are fond of living in European countries. Your desire to move to European countries, vividly clears the picture that you are not interested to live in your own country, where all people are Muslims. If Islam is that much good, then there is no need to leave your own countries. Stop doing. You are finding satisfaction in European countries and having their traditions and customs. People living in European countries are not like the people living Middle East. If you feel so much offended there, then go back to your own countries. Go back and you will find your religion and your own mates.

I’m confused about something. \nIf there’s not many customers in the store and they’re ones that are just looking around for almost 30 minutes and theres a bunch of workers, wouldn’t they be normal to ask “Can I help you” a lot because they are bored and actually want to do something helpful at their job...? \nI used to help in a library if anybody was looking for something I’d try to help them so that they could find what they’re looking for right away instead of wasting time. If I saw anybody just browsing or wandering around for almost half an hour I would totally ask to see if I could help them. Better to try than not help at all. Why get paid to do nothing? Isn’t it your job to help? \n\nUnless I know exactly what I’m looking for and I know where it is I will ask for assistance, it’s great when they just come to me so I don’t have to track down somebody myself. That usually takes longer.

It is really disheartening to see all this. I had a dream of coming to canada for study when I was young but due to lack of money I failed to come. After that I always wanted to try find a job from outside canada I failed. I am in a situation that I see no way to come to canada . I always wanted to to come work hard make money and start a good life, moreover i had plans to setup my business there with that money and give others the job. And these scammers have it so easy way out . Seems like honesty has no place left. At least give them harsh punishments that will make genuine people feel better.

We need to have a little bit of compassion for Muslims who are struggling with this. Imagine that you were born into Islam. You didn't ask for it. You just happened to be unlucky enough to be born into a Muslim country and raised under it. It's not their fault that they believe what they believe. \nWe need to help them to free them from the chains of Islam. The way to help them and free them from Islam is by educating them with the truth. It's difficult for them to accept because they have devoted their entire life to it. It's also quite a shock when they see all of the errors in the Quran which is supposed to be the pure word of an all-powerful and all-knowing God. Then they see things like- the sun revolves around the earth and sets in a pool of muddy water. It's like somebody telling you that your dear friend has been lying to you for the last 50 years of your life. You just can't believe it. You don't want to believe. You defend your friend, you love your friend. \n\nSo instead of insulting these poor Muslim people try helping them by suggesting that they read the Koran cover to cover from beginning to end. Then they will see for themselves that this 7th century book conflicts with modern scientific and historical knowledge. That's when they will realize that Muhammad invented the entire thing so that people would obey him and treat him like a god on Earth. That's when they will realize that he was a 7th century man who knew nothing about the scientific knowledge that we have now in this century. That's when they will realize that the Quran is filled with threats of punishment and violence for not believing and not obeying the supposed word of God given to them by Muhammad. Muhammad put harsh punishments in it so that they would submit out of fear. This is why Islam is so violent. \n\nTo our Muslim friends in humanity. I'm so sorry that you were lied to. So sorry that you wasted much of your life devoting it to Islam. I'm so grateful to those of you who have not followed the violence of Islam commanded in the Quran. But now you are free with the truth. Go and live your life in Peace and freedom. Love your fellow humans and help your fellow humans. Try to spread the truth to other Muslims and help them. This happens to me all the time. In Lexington, Kentucky racism is very much alive. when it happens I usually get them to help me find everything I want ,even if it's not what I'm really looking for . I will drag them all over the store with me just for the hell.

I am against outright racism. Although I look as though I am part white, I am not. I am however for profiling. The FBI does it with some degree of accuracy. All that means is that you have one demographic that commits certain crimes or faux pas and should be looked closer at. So what? Do stores follow blacks or teens because they have a lower rate of theft? If that were true, then the profiling would be unjust. Sorry, if someone didn't want to rent to me because of my race, then I'd find another place to spend my money. Why go to or patronize someone who doesn't appreciate you as an individual? Beats me.

Lived there 2 years, moved to Etobicoke then Kitchener, then Waterloo and now leaving in Brampton.\nIts been 7 years in Canada and 1.5 years in Brampton.\n\nWhen someone asks me why you live in Brampton, it’s unsafe city or ghetto. I am like hell no, never leaving Brampton. Brampton is safe city compare to some other GTA cities, look at statistics. Its just have bad name because of lots of south asian people.\n\nBrampton is brampton, only place I feel belonged and enjoying living in Canada with little Indian tweest. \n\nBrampton takes away our dependency on cooking during hectic days as restaurants are hell cheap, easy to find home-cooked tiffin with lots of options. Main reason easy to find Gujarati foods and other vegetarian food. Tons of pure vegetarian Indian restaurants in Brampton.\n\nGreat feelings come when you are tried and don’t want to cook and at same time don’t want to eat in restaurants then home-cooked food is always available to your neighbourhood for just 6-7 dollar.

I am a Muslim and I am a moderate Muslim and treats all people of all faiths equal and with respect. Being a moderate Muslim, I find it ridiculous to see ladies wearing a full burkah. They should all be deported to Saudi Arabia where they have their freedom to live to practice whatever they want.

I hate that at my work that we have a 5 foot rule; if a customer is within sight in 5 feet of you, you are to ask them if they need help with anything. Whether or not we suspect them of stealing. We don't discriminate racially, we do this with every person who walks into the store. Which is ridiculous because our store is very small and we have anywhere between 3 and 6 employees on the floor at any given time. So, inevitably, every customer is offered help many many times in their visit. I am always worried that a person of colour will think I'm profiling them, when I'm really not. I genuinely just want to know if they're finding everything they need or have any questions. If we were to racially profile based on the people who have stolen from us in the past, we'd be going after every white person who walks in the store. In my 3 years working there we have had only white people steal from us. So sick of the race issue, we're all humans. The amount of melanin in our skin should not matter.

This is a great documentary. I assumed Canada was very inclusive and multicultural. I never heard about slavery in Canada or racism there. As an African-American woman I want to know all about the experiences of BLACK PEOPLE all over the world because we are connected. Many of our families were torn apart during slavery. Most of us can’t trace our history five generations. I’m glad we have YouTube to find information through documentaries like this one.

You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. Canadians can simply take some time to study the religion to find out what it's all about. It's only natural to want to know what's going on with Islam, since Islamic terrorism is in the news almost every day. The danger is Islam.

Muslim lady speaks outside of her house and discusses issues we have with the religion, because of this she fears for her safety from her own community. It shows the deep problems we have with the western values and the Muslim community, yet here we have people tip toeing around the issue saying we have no problem, its religion and beliefs and peace and love and we should just accept all Muslim communities even tho this lady is telling you the problems right in front of your faces. There is so many videos you can find showing that Muslim community neighbourhoods do not want non-Muslim's in there community and they want Sharia law and they are not tolerant to outsiders and anyone that thinks different to them, even those from within there own community. 2 good examples are the town Dearborn, Michigan and Luton Town, UK of just how lack of tolerance for non-Muslim people in Muslim majority communities they have.

CBC, I'm disappointed. You have to be aware that the Implicit Association Test is a flawed test. Do some research, and you will find that outside of the soft sciences, it does not hold water. It is not a repeatable test. Get one person to do the same test every day for 30 days. See how things change. \nAdditionally, that written survey is craftily put together to get what it wants. Just look at the language.

I feel extremely sad and sick about the invasion of Muslim, Based on history, I know this invasion is planned they are here to conquer the lands.
