It's not that black people don't steal. It's not that white people don't steal. The fact is a person who steals can be any race but the people who are looking for the crimes tend to be white and they don't look as hard at people who look like them.

with respect to the job situation I am not really surprised at all. The higher up you go in terms of qualifications requirements is the less likely you are to find discrimination based on names in Toronto. \n\nThe real discrimination is at the bottom of the pay scale where the people making the decisions are less likely to be university educated and more likely to be say a white forklift driver who came up through the ranks and has been promoted through length of service rather than and specific qualification. Ethnic employers tend to discriminated HEAVILY against anyone who is not of their ethnicity. The Chinese hire almost exclusively Chinese, partly because they can pay them less than minimum wage and get away with it. Indian employers hire almost exclusively Indians for the same reasons but additionally because they can get away with any number of safety violations because Indian workers tolerate and in fact tend to violate those safety codes in a normal situation anyway.\n\nThe same with Portuguese construction workers, they can pay them way less, get them to violate construction codes and cut corner on safety without being reported by or having workers complain. Polish and Romanian construction workers the same thing.

Profiling exists with whites too, but it has to do with appearance, class and perceived intelligence; it isn't all about colour or race.\n\nI am a larger guy, with a shaved head and a beard. If you speak in a way that makes you sound less educated or of a lower class, then you are treated differently.\n\nTry sending in a white guy who is less clean-cut and less well-spoken and see the difference in the way he is treated. Have him act a bit nervous, look around a lot, or appear to be less than middle or upper class and see the difference in how he is treated. I guarantee he won't get good offers in those apartment buildings, if he gets any offers at all.\n\nA friend once told me a story about a friend of his who was very well off. This man went into an exclusive car dealership to look at a car on display. He didn't like to appear as well of as he was, so often wore simple jeans and t-shirt. When he asked the price of the car, the salesman took one look at his clothing an told him he couldn't afford the car. White profiling at its finest.

I would like you to do a test in Brampton in Ontario Canada where East Indians pretty much rule the scene , send in White People for a job at a work place that is owned and operated by Easts Indians and see if they hire the White person or hire the East Indian person . I'm sick of these sob stories. Are those people really that stupid? I'm beginning to think they really are. This man had been in the States for several years according to this video. He was in the States illegally. He clearly never bothered to learn English, and it looks like that for his family too. So he takes his family and again is expecting to be given asylum, and then does no research to find out the facts about Canada's immigration system before he goes there. Then he complains about having to spend all his money. Oh gee, did he actually think they would just give him free everything??? Clearly the threat he's complaining about in his own country is not that bad, since Canada rejected his asylum. So what does he do? He refuses to turn up for his hearing, and then he flees to another province. Totally criminal activity. Canada's immigration people need to round him up and deport him. It's his OWN FAULT he is separated from his family. HE BROKE THE LAW!!! There are CONSEQUENCES to breaking the law. Sheesh!!! I'm so sick of hearing these sob stories from these freeloaders. So you're accepted into the USA under a protection program, when it starts looking like your program is ending, you jump ship and start trying to ignore your program that your in that states you have to go home...\n\nThe mere fact that you're escaping to Canada shows you don't care about you immigration program and agreement, so why would we want to accept you? I can't believe what's being said in these comments. So the fact that he didn't speak English in the interview is the only thing that sunk in? Ok. If wearing a nikab or hijab or burka was a sign of respect and honor, we would all be walking around wearing bed sheets over our heads. Having grown up in the midwest of the USA, I find it offensive and oppressive to women to see them hiding under or behind a cloth garment. Yeah, we're not so awful... I'm American, living in Canada, and honestly, I'm here for my husband, who is Canadian. I absolutely ADORE him. it's not the religion.... it's the mac's convenience and the corner stores selling tropicana juice for 6 bucks a liter. It's the family oriented hiring policies and the rural area stores being bought and not offering fishing bait, ice or firewood but instead offering dollar store fishing lures for 20 bucks. it's the electronic stores that sell tape decks and old CD players. for security and safety they should make it mandatory so that every person can be identified. suppose someone wearing a mask or someone who covers there identity wants to do some evil like stab or robbery or steal etc... now they can go in a store and take what they want or stab anyone etc.... its best to implement laws that provides security for people. also its not required for muslims to wear such cloths so why dont just try to obey for purpose of security and safety. i am a hindu and i love canada. why, its because we have an allstar groups of people that try to live in peace. we should keep this way of thought. also making some comprimises like this will go a long way for muslims with other communities as well. they should try to look at the fact that canada is not an islamic country.

Tolerance is not a one way street. Canadians (and other westerners) should wake up and realize that, and also form a basic understanding about the evils of islam, that muslims stand for.\nMany douchebags and pseudo-liberals of the Ben Affleck kind, will go to great lengths to defend islam and muslims while knowing absolutely nothing about that religion or its followers, with the only purpose being to selfishly display how PC they are. A true liberal person will value their acquired freedoms and privileges, and not be tolerant of the intolerant. Furthermore, real leaders should not be afraid to bring these points up, backing them up with hard evidence (not just hear-say or opinions), for the purpose of protecting civilised society: so that muslims and non-muslims all can understand why islam is incompatible with western civilisation. If muslims are offended by any of that, then that offence is brought on by themselves. PC has no place here.\n\nHere are some reasons why islam is incompatible with civilised society:\n1. Muslims consider the quran to be the perfect book and their prophet to be the perfect man, who's behaviour is to be aspired to, so perfect that any imagery of him does him great injustice and is forbidden. Other than being plain stupid, this in itself doesn't affect civilised society much (except free speech when drawing cartoons), but this does becomes a critical point in combination with the next points:\n2. Of course they benefit from the civilised society, but not vice versa. \n4. Then there are the many verses in the quran that order muslims to fight non-muslims (and specifically jews), order death for adultery and homosexual behaviour, etc. Just search and you'll find as there are way too many to list here.
