Canada is really still not that bad of a place to live. I am 38 years old suffer with epilepsy own my own house, I am married. My job is Medicore paying and very hard work. Me and my wife have plenty of disposable income at the end of the month to do what we want with or save it. A lot of people need to learn how to budget money. Stay away from credit cards, personal loans , expensive cars basically useless shit. Yes canada is expensive but there ways around it. Example stop living in expensive cities. Find skill sets around your job if you want extra money trust me there many of them. I make more money just on my hobbies then I do working, guess what tax free. Health care not the best but it is still really not that bad yet. Point being if I can handle Canada you can to trust me I am nobody special. I just live within my means and have hustles on the side with just high school education.

I was born in Montreal in the mid 50s and growing up it truly was a free country with plenty of opportunity. Graduating from Sir George Williams University I was able to purchase a brand new Mustang and live in my own new construction 2 bedroom luxury apt. Food and going to clubs was never an issue and as I had worked during the summers, I had no student debt. Most Canadians back then were from European backgrounds and safety was never an issue. In the year 2000 I left for the United States for good. I worked , lived and retired in a small university town and have a conceal carry permit to protect myself even here. I remember when you didn't even need a passport to go back and forth to Canada . The great replacement has hit Europe the hardest but Canada is a close second. If I were to leave here it would probably be for Thailand or the Philippines where there is a reasonable cost of living and safer conditions. I feel for you as I too can never go home, not the home I came from.

This is what happens when we don't have unhampered market system (Capitalism). We need to free the country from the government. The immigrants will thrive, the existing citizens will thrive. Canada will thrive.

I was actually thinking about moving to Canada. But the last few months and countless videos of people getting the hell out of there has put me right off. The whole Western world is in free fall and those in current power seem hell bent on bringing us all back to serfdom in a weird one world government which seems to be the way things are heading. I came to Calgary in 1983, and since then, I've seen Canada change for the better and worse. I moved back to my native country of Malaysia in 1997 and lived and worked there until 2012. I can honestly say that my native country is so much cheaper to live. I don't need to wait months to see a specialist and wait over an hour to see my family doctor despite already booking an appointment. Doctors just want to get you out of their office fast so they can see more patients. Got a second health concern, well, book another appointment. What a joke! In Malaysia, I can get full body check-ups, including x-ray, ECG, and blood work, including results the same day. What's the use of free health care if the service takes donkey months? I've decided to move back to Malaysia in about two year's time and enjoy the warm weather and cheaper cost of living. Canada is a GREAT country, but the elected government just screwed things up. Will miss the Calgary Stampede for sure.

Canada's not the same as current PM has ruined it. Chaos will get worse before it gets better with a new leader to fix it. Immigrant's always entered through Sask because it was the easiest to get citizenship. When term was over they went West or East. There are 2 types of immigrant's today, those who want a chance for better life and adapt and those who want to destroys our values (which's' what what we're seeing today). Being born and raised in Sask doesn't feel like home anymore into today's world. East and West looks worse. I'd be happier living abroad!! I left Canada in 2021 and came back this week for the first time. I am in complete shock I honestly don’t know how people survive. I bought a TRAVEL SIZE conditioner, soap, eyebrow pencil and toothpaste and the total was $47 at shoppers ??. I went to a restaurant with a friend. we shared a meal and got two kid size meals for her kids and 2 glasses of wines . The total was almost $200. Since I’ve been abroad for a while I wanted to go to the doctors and utilize my work insurance. Impossible! Wait time is 3-4 weeks just for an initial meeting. It would be easier for me to pay out of pocket abroad than use the “free” services Canada ( and my job) offers. I have no children and work in tech and I’m grateful but even working in this field I wouldn’t be able to have a quality life living here. It’s so sad I was born and raised here but I see no future for myself in Canada.

Took us 2 years to evict my dads tenant. I was shocked to find out that just getting eviction order isn’t the end, you need a final final eviction notice without return to court and straight to sheriff. AND Peel region only has 2 sheriffs to conduct eviction and that can take 10 weeks plus additional costs. Oh don’t forget, if the tenant claims to have cancer that buys them additional time in unit, and if proven they get at least one year free additional. Canada is a SHITSHOW.

I can't believe all the nonsense that was said on this video! Of course you have to learn the language, if you want to work in Germany!!! Has any of you tried to immigrate to Canada or the US? Nobody is going to give you a job, unless you can communicate in the local language! That is the same all over the world! European union countries have all got good social services and health systems. You want to benefit from the system? I’m an immigrant we came in 1982 , but the problem now is a lot of people here don’t want to integrate with Canadian society and want instead bring their own beliefs. Part of being an immigrant is to assimilate into the culture and not be an outsider. To me Canada is home , this is where I met my wife and my children are born. But you have to work for it because nothing is free. The key word is to become one of us , to become Canadian ??

If a landlord files paperwork about a bad tenant at the board, it will appear in the registry. Landlords can use it to vet prospective tenants. Its free. Please learn the difference between refugees and immigrants. Canada needs immigrants to fuel its economy. Profofessionals come here in Canada ready to work and pay taxes while Canadians were educated for free (k to 12) and even availed student loans before even contributing to Canada's economy. Be specific with what immigration programs you are referring to. Some immigrants do not owe you anything for being immigrants in Canada. We came here fully equipped with education and skills, bringing our savings and ready to work and pay taxes.

No country is responsible for people other than their own citizens. This includes Canada and any other country in the world. No country has the obligation to import people from other countries. If the immigration is beneficial for any country it can take place. Once it's not beneficial any more it should be stopped. Nobody is entitled to a free meal, a free meal can be given because of generosity, not because of any pressure or obligation.

Every immigrant student bring 50k-80k in canada, depends on the courses and universities. For people who complain about Canada and wanna move back think twice, thrice and n more number of times.\nLife is expensive here and it's cheap nowhere. Taxes are high but the benefits are worth it. In my country, I gave up 30% of my salary purely for my children's school and bus fare, which is torally free of cost here.\n\nI was well versed with my local language and had a specialist dentist degree but still no job, whereas here even a mere DDS (undergraduate dentist) with poor English mints money.\n\nWhen i was jobless this country bore with me 70% of my family's total expenditure thru benefits and schooled plus comfortably yet freely transported my child which none of our home countries ever did (even Govt schools in my country charge a minimal fee and pupils' standard is deplorable).\nSo, yes, Canada is not a bed of roses to start with, but we never came from a bed of roses ?\n\nAnd one final note to people praising the US - ATLEAST I CAN VISIT A SHOPPING MALL IN CANADA AT PEACE THAT I WONT BE SHOT AT ?
