Recently i had been to canada . I stayed in Vancouver a beautiful city surrey a city 35 kms from Vancouver is full of punjabis where you feel like a punjab state. Everything available there. A nice place.

I'm an immigrant in Canada ( Vancouver) I've been told many times they are ruining the country and they should go home. The catch? I'm from the UK and they are always talking about Indians. Canada is beautiful and has lots of space but the government is forcing everyone into small cities. the Van is so full and expensive but drive out of the city and its Forrest for 1000 miles

Thank you for sharing! I had to leave Canada after a short stint due to personal reasons. I really enjoyed the work culture there and my salary was definitely way better than the one I used to make in Italy. Having an internationally recognised MSc, I felt valued for the first time ever and did not have any issues securing a job. However, the housing crisis was something I was not ready for. Never struggled so much to find a place to rent (and it was not even a big city). Grocery prices were also pretty scary. Canadian taxes were not a problem as Italy has a notoriously high taxation.

I'm from sauble beach they have been pooping on the beach for 10 years now. 7 years ago they slaughtered a goat on the beach and buried it in the sand. Ecoli never used to be a problem on the beaches and now it's more common sometimes they even have to close off swimming for extend periods of time. We aren't racist. We are just tired off people abusing our generosity. I'm tired of walking in a bank a grocery store and being looked as a 2nd class citizen by the people we have let into our countries. Like I said we're not racist we just can't sustain this mass migration anymore. In most cities Punjabi is now a majority. So much changed in 10 years. Our infrastructure wasn't prepared for this. And now we have a housing crisis. It's almost impossible to find a place to live. It was never like this before.

This should have been done years ago we have far to many people staying over their expired visa’s or vacation, migrants refugees, accepting asylum seekers etc, we must concentrate on our own citizens they need work young people need jobs, our governments have allowed segregation and it should not have happened now we have ethinic groups creating cities within cities , kids can’t get summer jobs nor weekend jobs or jobs after school no one will hire a Caucasian person it gets harder and harder everyday ho to Tim Hortons, McDonald’s, food basics , Lo laws, Metro etc, go to hospitals , other places like the hospitality industry, walk in clinics pharmacies go to any strip mall in any one of them it’s hard to find a Caucasian person working in bc any of the small store or grocery stores or pizza places hair dressers barbers ? my hid the list goes on if you take note of what’s happening in the United Kingdom ?? and some European countries and even in the states we are not to far away from such disasters we are not immune to them I fir one just dread going outside now with the gun and knife violence it’s horrible ,

It shouldn’t be a sharp reduction. It should be a complete stop! although I do find it a little ironic that we take the land from the Indians (natives) and a different kind of Indian takes the land from us, so I really doubt the natives are doing anything but laughing right now and maybe crying over population increase and rights being ignored due to population growth. All I have to say is be careful driving in the correct lane because in our city so many accidents with drivers driving on the left side and having a head on collision. Fun times ?

I am leaving the big cities and moving to a smaller town for the rest of my life. Good riddance Calgary, you leave a lot to be desired these days. I have to spend all day tomorrow on the train, and I'm not looking forward to it for obvious reasons. Even though a smaller town will still have some issues, it won't be as bad, and I will never have to ride a public train in Canada again . Good luck.

Small city, town canada, is by and large, are cultural, economic and infrastructure dead zones with high crime, terrible public services, miserable weather and few amenities. I'm from Mexico and I've applied to Canadian PR, but I'm seriously considering other options like Europe or Asia. I was considering Canada for to the security and better healthcare (even if I had to live paycheck to paycheck), but from the comments I'm honestly discouraged.\n\nHere in Mexico wages in IT have remained stagnant yet rent and food prices keep growing up each year. Even with over +6 years of experience I can barely afford a room in a shared apartment and just enough for food, let alone travel or save for retirement. Crime and corruption is rampant, even the safe cities have become very insecure, and gentrification is pushing way too many people into poverty.

This city is overvalued, the cost of living is ridiculous and it is not that great, you find homeless, drug addicts and mentally challenged people everywhere.

It is simply misdirected anger and aggression, the people that make decisions on cutting education and healthcare, and allowing exorbitant prices of essential consumer goods, is the people elected to make critical decisions.\n\nAlot of people do not hold their elected officials from the local and wards to the city, province up to Federal level.

I would respectfully point out that in my opinion the problem is that too many immigrants from one particular culture (in this case, Indians, but it's also the Chinese,) have been allowed in to settle almost entirely in one particular area of a city. In Ontario it's Brampton. In B.C. (where I live) it's Surrey. This stretches Canada's resources, having classrooms almost full of Indian kids who are learning English as a second language. For years we've had to put up with young Indian males street racing in their expensive cars on our cities late at night... to their mothers they are 'princes,' and they act like it and believe they can do exactly as they like. Then there's the issue of how many of their extended family members are also allowed in - resulting in way too many elderly Indians who don't speak a word of English and probably never will, so we have to provide translation services for them in our hospitals and govt. offices. The other issue I have a problem with is there's a tendency with Indians to 'skirt the rules.' There have been a few significant accidents on our highways caused by young Indian male drivers operating huge rigs which they are ill-equipped to drive, which seems to indicate they got their licences fraudulently. There's also been an increase in so-called 'honour killings' (e.g. MURDER!) as well as young girls being subjected to FGM (Female Genital Mutilation.) As an immigrant myself, born and raised in the UK, I'm used to living among Indians, and in fact have always really liked them (and especially their food, which definitely improved the British restaurant scene!) but it's time to limit the numbers. For me as a German 28% taxes with an income of 63000$ a year, are seeming very low. Here in Germany you have to pay about 20% for social security + taxes. If you earn about 30000$ a year you have to pay about 10% income tax + 19% value added taxes + 20% for social security.\nIf you earn 63000$ you have to pay about 40% taxes + social security and value added taxes.\n\nBut when I did hear the costs just for rent, people in Canada have to pay, I understand that even 28% are hard.\nI am renting a 2 room appartment for 500$ in a normal town and I think from what I did hear, I would have a higher standard of living, even if I earn 1500$ after taxes a month, which is a low income, if you're working full time in Germany.\n\nAnd if I would live in a more expensive town or city, the country would help me with my rent, if I have a low income.

I am a Jamaican Canadian 42 year resident of Canada. I agree with your perspective 99.9%. Keep up the good work. Social integration requires fast track educational courses that stresses the importance of savvy customer relation procedures, gestures and practices. They must see it as not imposing but the norm in accommodating diversity in a multicultural city. Once they perceive the integrality and its inextricable component in smoothly assimilating, they will see the inevitable need to compartmentalize as this helps them to fit into their new welcoming family. Be reminded, in Canada, out of many, one family.

Canadian multiculturalism has changed. It used to be you came here and became a Canadian... While still bringing in bits from where you came from. I’m Ukrainian, and I came to Canada in 2024 through the CUAET program. I work remotely for a U.S. company, but it feels impossible to survive here with my current salary. If I stay longer than six months, I’ll have to pay taxes, which would leave me struggling to afford rent and basic necessities like food. I’ve never seen bread and eggs as expensive as they are here, not even in Paris, one of the most tourist-visited cities in the world, where prices are much lower than in Canadian supermarkets. It doesn’t feel like Canada offers me protection—instead, it feels like a vacuum that’s draining all my savings. Before 2022, in Kyiv, I lived a far better life than the average Canadian today, with my own apartment, car, and the ability to travel wherever I wanted for vacations.\nSo I leave in October while I have some money yet. My City Niagara falls is infested with Indians its about two years now, and more are coming they all work at Tim Hortons down my street, have no manners or respect, I and my friends are sick and fed up, they are everywhere our stupid government should really do something. The only thing I would say cause you seem to be very young. Is that brampton actually in the 70's and to early 2000's used to be mostly a white and black community and then other cultures. I am born in Toronto I have a cousin born in Toronto who currently lives in brampton she owns a house in brampton for about 25 years. And is going through a lot mentally with the slamming. We got of people from India mostly in the last 2 years, but it's been going on slowly over 10 years and she's not doing well with the overwhelment of Indians and we're of black Jamaican heritage. So just so you know, brampton used to actually be white and then black was actually the second largest population and everybody else was after that. And then in the last 10 years they started coming but it wasn't in hundreds of thousands and then in the last 2 years it blew up insanely. As that man described is like an invasion. I now live on the West Coast of Canada and the same thing has happened here. And it's been a lot for me Canadian born. I've always grew up with every culture. I've lived and worked around the Indians that used to come here were literally not even on the radar. I mean you see them, but you just they just blended in because most of them had assimilated and were doing their lives. The breed that has come over specifically in the last 2 years is what is making it even worse cause if they acted like the ones who came before 10 -20 -30 years ago. They probably wouldn't stand out, but then again when you bring in almost a million, into all of Canada, they would stand out, but maybe people wouldn't be so agitated, if they had tried to assimilate and be respectful to the other cultures here and that is the number one complaint I hear anytime, I see interviews. Is people saying they don't assimilate? They're very rude to anybody who is not them. They are just interacting with the environment. The way they do at home, Canadians are more quiet and try to be respectful of other cultures. We like to just have their own space and our own peace when they're moving throughout this space and a lot of people describe the energy of the Indians coming in almost evasive into your space and then not really carrying anything about invading ur space. They act like, so what's the big deal if I'm in your space and that has been the number one issue is just the rudeness. Not assimilating and imposing their culture, speaking their language, not attempting to integrate with other cultures showing actually a lot of racism to some of the other cultures. And that has been the biggest problem. So just so you know, cause I can tell you're young. I'm North 40 years old and I can tell you. The demographic change has been so intense everywhere in Canada especially in the last 2 years. That I have even seen podcast with Indian people who have been here 10 -20-30 years, saying the government needs to figure out a way and get a good swath of these people gone because they are. Staining them with a negative brush. Cause I can tell you. It's only in the last 5 years. That I notice Indians. I've grown up around every culture. And I just don't notice individual cultures in that way. Until in 2022, Trudeau took the guard railsl off the foreign worker program and the student Visa working program. And just said Hey, anybody want to come bum rush the door now? And India is known for having middlemen in India that work with Fake Diploma Mills scholls with brampton having over 80 of them that the middlemen work scamming Indians by telling them if they pay anywhere from $5000 all the way up to $50,000 even higher to get fake school acceptance letters, so they can come here to get the word permit and work full-time or with companies that provide fake LMIA job offers on the black market, which is illegal under the I.R.C.C, but that is a thing that they had prior to 2022. And when Trudeau took the guards rails off when it comes the requirements and basically. Made it a free-for-all and as India already had the scamming infrastructure in place that kept their population moderate and it just allowed th scammers to go nuts, so that's why we got mostly Indians. Other cultures do it too, but it's so tiny. It's not noticeable. The Indians already had the infrastructure in place that when they took off the guard rails, it was easy for them to switch and start selling these opportunities to go to these fake schools was over 80 of them in brampton t such a lightening speed. Hence why we got slammed so hard-and-fast with that specific community.That just really we're coming here to work and send money home and that is also why a lot of our banks are now struggling with cash reserved because they're sending money home. So just thought I'd give you that angle. I understand you're doing it from your culture's perspective mostly but you're missing a whole bunch of information. So I thought I'd fill you in actually, brampton used to be a white and black city for a long time, and recent flooded in the last 2 and why it happened from that community so quickly in 2022

I gave an easy solution just ask all students and worker to submit an updated ieltr test with 7 bands to extend their visas or apply for post graduate work permit , ielts should be obtained from within canada to apply for extension. I am sure a large group will be able to obtain . Also canada would earn some revenue as well, and those able to receive 7 bands verify it and conduct interveiw and request tax to know how many hrs they work and study and this would show their intention if they are a genuine students. Or settle them in far cities and balance all communities so those in large numbers cannot dominate those in less numbers.

I’m from Vancouver but I went to the university of Toronto and since then I preferred living in Toronto. Big beautiful city and for me personally it’s great.

Though our Australian capital city Canberra is a lot smaller than that Canadian one, we could say the same is happening here. For the last 10 years or so our city is hardly recognisable with the chaotic immigration from India the govt has brought in.
