The world pretty much stands with us and I thank all of you who are doing all you can to stand behind Canada.\nI don't care which country you come from. I have been to Canada a hundred times in my lifetime since I live close to the Canadian border and I've always respected Canadian sovereignty also, that Canadian is our best partner and friend. Trump is obviously transferring most of US assets in East and Southeast Asia. While we are seeing bad trade news after another, this is only focused mainly on Western countries.\n\nJapan and Taiwan recently pledging billions of USD as investments are one of the indications that Trump is relocating its financial and possibly military support to Asia. Philippines will also be conducting a meeting with him and I think he would have defense and economic deals with our country as well.\n\nCanadian and Mexican economies would indeed suffer while European security would be in danger with the US pulling out of NATO soon. But we are seeing an indication that the trade and defense assistance is being transferred to Pacific Asia for some reason. This would mean the economic repercussions would not bring down the US to its knees, but it would still be pretty significant early on since Asian markets would take a while to develop.

CNN, since you don't educate or inform your viewers on the underlying issues, allow me to do the honors.\n\n900,000,000,000 dollars. That is the Trade deficit the United States carried with Canada last year, almost a trillion dollars of lost production; lost profit and lost jobs and lost income for working class Americans. In addition to this Trade Deficit, U.S. exporters face possible 5 to 10 percent taxes in the form of sales taxes from some provinces and the federal government. Mr. Trump is trying to level the playing field which will even this deficit. This is fair for both parties. Tradeau knows this, but being a leftist and a globalist, he will say all manner of things against Trump.

Imagine if Trudeau announced that he would be pausing the carbon tax on the Canadian people to help offset some of the costs imposed on us by the United States. Canada should permanently end all trade with America. To start with, end all energy exports to the Eastern Seaboard and bring the entire Eastern Seaboard to an immediate and compete standstill. American shipping and port traffic, all railroad traffic, all airline traffic relies on importing Canadian energy so cut off the supply and brine the entire Eastern Seaboard to an immediate halt.

Blaming the USA for what, exactly? It’s unfortunate that Canadian consumers are affected by trade restrictions, such as when Canada bans U.S. wines and liquors. Why ban it in the first place? Interestingly, even within Canada, Eastern provinces don’t have access to wines from British Columbia, what a shame. Shouldn’t we be working towards more open trade within our own country as well?

Hey kimlit thank the Conservative for GST and HST. GST introduced by Mulroney in 1991. Free trade caused our manufacturing collapse. Harper, Conservative raised the retirement age to 67 and he changed the law to allow foreign govts to own more than 50% of Canadian companies. These young CanMagas don’t know about our history. The Conservative Party started and continues to be the party of the rich and big business. Look who is backing IDU organization…Koch Brothers, Mike Roman and other oligarchs. Trudeau raised CPP and OAS payments, lowered retirement age back to 65, dental plans for Seniors, cheap daycare….all of which PP said he will remove because we can’t afford it according to his handlers. He will privatize healthcare and raise retirement age again to appease his rich handlers.\n.
