This isn't just a white or black thing it's an out of control immigration system where people use loopholes in the system to gain residency. This anti-immigration isn't isolated in fact most immigrants who's lived in Canada all their lives have expressed deep concern that the government is letting in too many from one nation and the lopsided admittance is part of the concern. The metrics of the majority of new immigrants come from the Middle East and India how can anyone not notice the concern that many have been expressing for a decade. Canadians aren't against immigrants it's that we didn't expect to just let anyone in without actually knowing how to speak English or have etiquette and follow laws. Many have concerns that many of the new comers can't even speak English yet they have license to drive and how do we get around most bend the rules or the law. Myself I've notice a skyrocketing scam scheme and how can you not equate that to the rise in our broken immigration policy. The last time I heard you had to have certain criteria to be considered to immigrate and why is that some countries like from the South Pacific you need to know English have money in the bank and a skill or degree on a list of acceptable qualifications. So many who can't even read or write English have jobs, drive a car, then to make matters worse have housing yet we have a crisis? Most Canadians see the pattern and most are educated enough to know there is something to be said, loopholes and when they find it they abuse the system.

They come to get a job and permanent resident them sponsor their family next thing you know all of them are here taking jobs frim Canadians

Universities are registered not-for-profits in Canada, so the for-profit argument can’t track. \nCanada needs a RICO law so we can more easily seize their assets and expel them, and hold universities to the fire for this crap, and the government officials getting kickbacks. The GOC is the largest human trafficking pimps, and the universities are bottom bi***es. And don’t think we don’t know that the 30% cap DOESN’T apply to companies like Navitas who recruit for the universities, are housed in the universities, but are separate, private companies.

We need people understanding the term racist or racist. And a note on diversity to respect boundaries opinions And put the quota on each country and a criminal record check and not a pardon waiver. And a contract to obey laws stating from gun threats abuse or involvement in gangs, being polite and not getting in gangs n fights. No dui. Don’t vote liberal!! Simple as that. They made a huge mistake with the immigration policy. Brought in a bunch of people and didn’t create new jobs or build new places for people to stay. Things are getting so bad everything is going up from housing to even finding jobs it’s getting difficult and difficult. Jobs that are considered even low end jobs are now being lined up as if it’s a high paying job. Things are getting bad. There’s no coming back from this Trudeau!!

Everyone that was struggling before, is struggling even harder Now, everyone is feeling this burn in any way, shape or form, and the cost of living in Canada is insanity. Services that were helping people, survive, are being cut and money being removed for other things. This doesn’t make sense. The basic necessities are becoming more of a problem to get and or too expensive to buy like for instance, toothpaste, deodorant…You cannot find it for under $10 for one stick of deodorant.

On my LinkedIn I get people from all over the world who want to come, from Europeans to Brazilians and all these people contact me looking for opportunities. Our gov't prioritized low wage workers who they can practically enslave with minimum wage short term then turn around and kick them out.\n\nThis is the most egregious thing I've ever seen and they do it the most Canadian way too, with a smile and popish attitude. \n\nAll these Walmart, Tim Hortons, basically all these service jobs should be going to locals and locals ONLY! I've never seen an indian eating from Tim Hortons but 100% of the people who work there are indian. Why? because they're working in slave labor.

They aren’t slashing they are making a small cut. It’s not going to be enough to make a difference and allowing any amount of people in is only going to make things worse. A Trump election win and his promise of mass deportation is going to bring a flood of asylum seekers that will make what we have seen so far look like nothing. They plan to go after the criminals first so they will be in the first wave. Crime is going to get so much worse that there won’t be any point in even keeping track.

The process is not the same as it was in the 80s when they did not require renewal every couple yrs w high $ and rules to return to home country for a set amount of time risking losing your home/job/business etc. Some renewal process for green cards have sped up but still takes 6-1yr and a new green card renewal and new one for Mexico can take 1-3yrs for approval. So someone that’s been here +20yrs will have to leave everything they have built here to go wait quite a long time. Its not if you agree how they got here, its what they have done in our country since being here. They add to our economy, +80% pay taxes to never get any of those benefits and they open businesses employing people etc. If they have been here committing a list of crimes then no i don’t agree but majority of immigrants don’t do that. I agree our border needs protection and security. Majority of the left do agree w that but gop don’t want solutions they want to just shut it down completely and thats not right. We have always been a country of opportunity and growth for everybody. If we had a good border bill that they could all agree on fe border act was bipartisan til Trump didnt want to “give dems a win” which it would have given more $ for more judges to help speed up the process for asylum cases and put more agents on the border and more security at checkpoints which is where most fentanyl is caught. I went to Seneca College and was classmates with a number of Indian students. The things some of them had to go through to get there was astonishing. I'm not surprised by this report at all.

Canada relies on immigration for pretty much everything 1) colleges make money 2) landlords make money 3 ) government makes money from more taxes 4) banks make money from more mortgage applications 5) realtors make money . And they know majority of international students goal is to later. Buy a house Punjabi people own more real estate then most people in Canada combined. As an Indian who has worked in Europe I want to highlight a few things. \nDesis are loud and annoying. \nThey will talk loudly on the phone sometimes its annoying.\nThey will try to force their culture onto others. \n\nCons of the west.\n\n1. Lazy people who don't want to work and support the economy. \n2. As u very well know . There is no such thing as Indians. India is divided into caste system and other categories. No point in pretending that all groups get the same treatment.

I have been living in Germany for 6 years and I never felt I could settle. Now that I have a German partner and I’m reconsidering things, but even with that it doesn’t feel like home. What most people here say is totally true: absurd bureaucracy, bad weather, angry people everywhere. Germany is not a country for everybody. You should know very well what you want to get out of the country before considering coming here.

We build this country. Now immigrants get to arrive here, take what we built for granted and most of the time just change everything to suit their culture. This is a real issue. If I went to India to live there I would never do such a thing. When you immigrate, you accept the local culture as the main one. Its called compromising. You immigrate for the benefits but also you accept the downsides.

The grass is always greener. We are not the US thank god. Greed over benefits over better education and in general a greater social safety net. The large centres in Canada have had there real estate exploited by big business and wannabee real estate tycoons it like the many other schemes that came before are looking to exploit working class people and that has made more difficult for people that doesnt mena Canada doesnt have opportunity. Lived in in Germany as a Skilled worker before \nmoving to the Netherlands. Everything except nature and health care is better in the Netherlands. Getting things done from the Government is the biggest difference. I mean seriously the Netherlands is leaps and bounds better in this regard . Even with recent political changes, people in the Netherlands are more welcoming to outsiders in my experience. For a skilled worker with high mobility Germany is not even in the top 10 potential choices

I am so sorry, as a native Canadian, that Indians are feeling attacked. It is difficult, no matter your ethnic background, if you are not Indian to even acknowledge these issues because people are afraid of being labelled as racist so I thank you for bringing this topic up. Please understand this is the result of runaway immigrations with no real screening. The government quadrupled immigration, hundreds of percents increase in students, asylum seekers, and illegal entries, even though there was already a housing crisis, and a completely predictable doctor shortage due to aging out. Covid was just starting to get under control but many still needed treatment and BOOM, the population went from 30 million in 2014 to over 40 million in a decade, most of it in the last 3 years. We native Canadians are scratching our heads, we don't understand what the Liberals are trying to accomplish but to create suspicion and racism between groups of people -- divide and conquer? Maybe...but ultimately it is a complete lack of planning! Still 99 percent of Canadian born do not blame Iindividual ndians for this. I've lived and worked with Indians my entire life of over 60 years. There are now Indian gangs, particularly Punjabi gangs because of lack of oversight, and while they are small they are constantly committing crimes, selling drugs, shooting people all in the last few years. I hear gun shots nightly in my ethnically mixed neighbourhood, and we are all afraid to walk at night. Unfortunately the people arrested are mostly from continental India. Some have a political agenda that has to do more with India than Canada, so they recruit young Indo-Canadian children from good families and tell them they are being oppressed, and next thing these kids are acting as drug mules and enforcers, being told that they are fighting systemic racism. As for dancing and music, I love the cultural events, we are happy to see and even take part in Indian cultural events. IWhen I do hear people blaming India and Indians it breaks my heart too! Hopefully together we can fix this. Our governments are at odds, and I hate this -- they need to respectfully talk and work this out. You are good neighbours, good people, you are welcome here and have helped build Canada in so many positive ways. ?

I am a born and raised Canadian and have seen my country go downhill for at least the last couple of decades.\nHealth Care: doctors and nurses are moving Stateside in droves. No, the US doesn’t have universal health care but there are insurance plans and the care is enormously better. My girlfriend had 4th stage throat cancer. In Calgary the doctors at some point told her there was nothing more they could do for her and to get her affairs in order. Her father sent her to the Anderson Clinic in Houston - yes it was expensive but they treated her, saved her life and that was 24 years ago. \nIt’s common in our emergency rooms to wait up to 12 hours to be seen. \nOur system isn’t progressive and doctors and nurses don’t get paid near as well as in the States. That being said, I am happy that I don’t have to pay to see the doctor or have a stay in the hospital. \nCost of Living: Once upon a time it was good - housing was cheap and many companies had the full range of benefits and salaries were equal to the cost of living. Now these same companies have stripped the benefits by hiring people under contract so they don’t have to give them benefits. \nRents are through the roof and in Calgary there are no rent caps. Buying a decent house in a decent neighbourhood is impossible unless you inherit or make a six figure income. This, in no small part, has created a homelessness crisis that never had been seen in such numbers before. Crime also is getting worse by the day. Canada was once known as a safe country. This is no longer the case.\nEverything is very expensive and the tax very high. Plus, we have to suffer winter! Where I live, the joke is that we have two seasons - July and winter!\nI still like my city (not love) but I am retired and own two houses - one inherited and the other bought when it was affordable (32 years ago). Calgary would not be a place I would live if I was a newcomer. Vancouver is beautiful but you really pay for it. \nTrudeau has helped make a big mess of things with immigration and lax criminal laws. My beef is not with immigrants I must state - it is with the lack of jobs for them when they come, thereby forcing bad living conditions and an over reliance on the social systems. I add that the immigration population is much more willing to work in jobs they have to take (despite a high education) than our natural and bloated citizens.\nSo yes, Canada has increasingly gone downhill. On a positive note, hand guns at least are not legal and our country has beautiful natural land.

It's interesting to see what will happen if I post a neutral comment here. \n\n\nUndoubtedly, Germany is not a paradise on Earth, just like any other place. There are both pros and cons. Sometimes I felt like I was reading comments about a completely different country when people wrote about not being accepted by society and so on, so I decided to respond too.\n\n\nI barely speak German (my second language is English) and I have never felt any racism or disrespect towards me. Whether it was on the street or at work. I more often met friendly people who were interested in learning about my move to Germany and were always admiring and saying words of support. This cannot be faked, these things were real. \n\n\nOf course, you will experience a lot of stress when visiting the foreigners' department, as many things are unfamiliar to you and you don't have enough language skills at first.\n\n\nOf course, I would like to get paid more for my work, or at least pay less taxes. Yes, child money support exists, but it's more of a formality as it barely covers the costs of raising children. This is where I would really like to see improvements.\n\n\n\nPeople, including immigrants, cannot understand that by increasing the demand for housing, they are increasing its cost. You can't blame the country itself for this. The law of supply and demand works here.\n\n\nThose who write about their plans to move to Australia or the USA, don't forget to share your relocation experience after. When you face the same or even bigger relocation problems. \n\n\nYou are right in one thing - there is no paradise on Earth, and you have to work. Thay Indian lady that said she works immigration IS THE PROBLEM. As a born and raised Canadian. 2 weeks ago i started a new job. I was working with only Filipinos. My background is El Salvador so im kinda dark. So was going ok. Then i tell that cock sucker that was training me. That I'm salvi but Canadian born. That's mistake 1 talking my fault. But i go home and i get fired for a list of bullshit that never happened. Even an Indian walked by and said to my lead. 'Is that another one of your cousins?' Growing up in Jane area was only Salvis, Jamaicans, Whites and Chinese. No Filipinos nor indian in my class or other jk classes. Born and rasied in Toronto left Toronto for like 13 years moved to Sarnia, Leamington and Windsor ontario. But i came back in May. Barely see Hispanics, Chinese, Japanese, Koreans on ttc. Just like 80% Indian and Filipinos. Not just India. I have nothing against Filipinos. But a lot are just hella arrogant and have 0 manners.

I'll add some context to our government. Prime minister harper who was an economics major I believe started saying no to the aboriginal peoples stopped catering to them. During the election it was a collective that all natives would vote ndp and the liberals were second last only behind the green party. Getting closer to the election Trudeau promised if elected to legalize marijuana and fund more efforts towards missing indigenous women ( that's a whole other story in itself). Trudeau won a majority government. They won't admit it but alot of blue collar people voted for Trudeau because of the legalization of weed. Fast forward immigration grew and new immigrants were strategically placed in certain cities and areas to vote for the liberals. The next election Trudeau lost the popular vote but won based on Canada's version of the electoral college. This time around I don't think he can win I've heard very very few people in this country say they want him so in a year things may get better or the damage is done.

I am from the Balkans. I have been studying, living and working abroad since I was 18. Germany was the 7th country I moved to and the first country ever I felt unwelcomed at work- because of my Balkan origins. I must say I was rather shocked because being a very open, international professional with lots of experience, I thought something of this kind would never be even imaginable. However, outside of my work field I gained many german friends pretty quickly - friends for life ( no competition here, haha). 10 years later, I am still here and the situation changed to better - a lot. A mix of getting trust, learning the language, and getting more international colleagues. I am totally thankful to the health system - they saved my life. If I stayed in my country, I would have had serious health issues. I am thankful to the democracy, freedom of expressing, schooling system( so much better than in my times in Yugoslavia), salaries, and many other things Germany gave me. I am living a good life, best life any of my family members had in generations. I would like to stay here as long as it feels good for me and my family. Having a german father to my kids is however the strongest link to me feeling home in Germany -having a local within your family makes it all a lot easier.

In Canada Youth are also more violent and unsupportive of each other.... I can't wait to get my daughter out of the country and actually be in a society where teen kids actually defend each other against bullies and sexual crimes are taken seriously.... The only thing worthwhile in Canada is the investment if you can save a good chunk of your income.... \n\nHealth care is not sustainable along with OAS... The country's OLD is eating its young. Better to just pay flat rate 25% tax living overseas than be eaten alive in bigger chunks. There's kinder, more peaceful places to live that are far more cheaper. Canada is declining really fast in an alarming rate.... Know so many people stocking up as preppers in case there really is full blown civil unrest.... Policing is becoming more incompetent and weaker too just encouraging the Anarchy..

You didn't touch on the NUMBER 1 thing. If you plan on moving to Canada, You best learn the language spoken in the area you are moving to, be it french, or english, or better yet, both. And that means your ENTIRE family! Nothing will get you discriminated on worse, than speaking your native language in public. It is EXTREMELY RUDE, and is the easiest way to have a hate crime committed against you !!! By all means, keep your native language, even teach it to others. but when out in public speak english or french. This is the number 1 reason why racism is increasing exponentially in Canada.

While affordability is def an issue there are a number of facts thrown around on this video that are making me question the data points being used. $3k rent sure, if you're downtown Vancouver and live on your own in a newer building with amenities which is what a friend of mine pays in Yaletown. But then I have a friends in KITS paying $1600, Main St $1500, Surrey $1100. There is not 7% of the population emigrating to the US. The rent can't be increased by $7000 as stated by the two girls, it's capped at around 3% annually, so not sure what the real context around that clip is. The girl who took a year to get housing at UBC - presumably she was renting somewhere else in Vancouver, I doubt she was living out of her car . Sounds like this was made with the most sensational examples which really undercts the video because I can't trust the other information about things I don't directly know. Having said that red tape has made building in Vancouver difficult and population growth has put huge pressure on the housing and rental market. Foreign investment purchases of housing has probably driven up the prices more than anything in Vancouver and as stated it has been linked to money laundering from drug money. It's the most expensive city in Canada btw, so while prices are high across the country, Vancouver is the worst of the lot, even worse than Toronto, so hardly an average example to look at.

Grass is always greener on the other side. US has more violent crime, school shootings, homeless, drugs, and inaccessible health care. US foreign policy and economic strength make it both a leader and a target in all kinds of conflicts, which damages the security and future outlook for an average person. Not to mention the clowns and criminals ruling the federal government and running for president.. European countries have their own issues, Asian countries their own (they have greater economic inequality and sexism, among other issues).\n\nI still consider Canada one of the best places to live. I have a good job and a good life here, I feel secure. Yes, there are things I don't like as well, that's why I earn in Canada and travel extensively to get the best of all countries.\n\nAnd finally, the reason real estate is so expensive in Canada is because of how many people want to live here. It's obvious – if Canada stopped being one of the top immigration destinations, real estate would stop growing in value so much.

This is the same issue with countries with aging population. They don't need the people. They need high skilled Cheap labor and someone to pay taxes. Then they will blame everything on immigration. They will make things harder to get, isolate you and say you don't want to assimilate. This is the system. They need you but they want you to believe they are doing you a favor. This is the game

This video is a fair assessment.\n\nIndians are generally not bad people. I have spent a month in India and have good friends in the UK who were born in India.\n\nIndians make good citizens in Western countries when they are aware of the cultural differences and allign to the Western culture in their public life and assimilate - and that means raising their sense of the responsibilities of citizenship & civic duty.\n\nBUT problems come when you get a large influx and they dont do these things. Western nations DO NOT want to become India v2.0 ethnically or culturally.\n\nNRIs in Western nations who aren't part of the problem need to become part of the solution. This is what doesn't happen in India. People feel free to behave badly because they aren't called out for it. Overseas Indians need to call each other out for bad behaviours at the time, not just on YouTube.

Canada's passport as of now is respected world wide. As Canadians we dont need visa to enter the US or visiting Europe. Trudeau is destroying what every canadian has till now taken for granted. Because of his incompetence our allies will stop respecting us and treat us like third world. Its already the case with AUKUS. we should get rid of this liberal govt asap. Even the newly designed passport is a joke. Another thing that should have better been kept untouched by this excessively incompetent govt.
