I dont mind the indians since i dont live in an area with too many indians. Well i do (markham) but what annoys me (not tryna sound racist but i just need to say it) theres a lot of chinese here and markham's demographics is like 27-19% european and indians are 19% here but here we have nearly 50% chinese out of our like what 368,000 citizens.. i dont mind them but everywhere i go i hear people speaking chinese, posters in chinese, even some teachers have been teaching more chinese than canadian history at my sisters school. My PE class is 18 chinese kids, 3 white kids, 3 indians and 3 black people. See what i mean.. They're smart and keep to themselves but in my experience they're pretty loud and can often be a bit rude and a lot of the times a bit racist too. Edit: before anyone asks yes i am white. I am not trying to be racist but I would just like someone to hear me out. I think people in Brampton are having similar issues.

I have to conclude that you have no idea what the facts are surrounding entry into this country. 1. If there visa is expired, then they have no valid reasons to here and must go. Low skill and low wage might have been ok when costs were low - low food prices, low energy prices, low housing and rental costs, etc. Now that everything is incredibly expensive, Canada is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either wages will go up (which have been fairly stagnant for the last 30-40 years) so that it goes above and beyond inflation, OR you will not be able to bring in low skill, low wage labor. Simply put, when rents are $3000 a month in Toronto, minimum wage of $15/hr is $2500/mth (before taxes). Add another $1000/mth for food, and $500/mth for other expeditures - and you can see that just to survive - a person in Toronto needs a minimum of $4500/mth to not be on the streets. And this is IFF they are not married and have kids which can easily drive expenses to $6000/mth\n\nSo... for someone to just live normally, they need a bare minimum of $30/hr for 2000hr/year - this is a salary of $60K before taxes!\n\nBut the median income in Canada is 35K to 40K (it's on your tax return which determines if you get extra help from the government).\n\nSo... with these prices - you will never get low wage workers here... period. You can't expect immigrants to work as slaves and then pull your country out of the mess you created by spending money on useless programs like a drunken sailor.\n\nCut costs, cut taxes, cut inflation (stop printing money), cut useless programs (ala DOGE in the US), allow housing to crash, diversify your economy, invest in start ups and entrepreneurs, increase salaries, scrap the carbon tax, etc. Notice - none of these have anything to do with immigration.

As a non-religious person, I find a lot of beauty and richness in Islam. My heart just breaks that it mirrors the conservatism of Christian Nationalists where marriage, sexuality, and gender identity is concerned. It is no more indoctrinating to expose children to a diversity of humans than it is to expose them ONLY/MOSTLY to a restricted group of humans. My husband and I are engineers from the US and Mexico and have lived in Germany for 15 years. Both speak fluent German and have raised three kids here. Yes, many people are racist. But if you learn the language well it’s not that hard to integrate and then things get much better. Germans can be the best friends you’ve ever had, much better than superficial Americans, but it can be hard to break through the shell. We have always loved it here. But to be honest with the steadily declining economy, massive scarcity in housing, and no salary increases in years, we are considering leaving as well. The outlook isn’t good for the Automotive industry and we could make double or triple the salary elsewhere. It would be very difficult to pull up our roots now gs better get better quick or we won’t stay much longer.
