Many small businesses are opened by immigrates. They bring skills and money. America creates the drug war for drugs and appetite for drugs in US, then doesnn't want to accept asylum seekes fleeing from the choas.

Canada is one of the most racist and discrimatory country in the world. It feeds on fooling skilled immigrants and bringing doctors and engineers or other professionals from other countries to come and clean toilets here or become a taxi driver or some other low paying job. Although nothing wrong in these kind of professions but I don't think they studied so much to come to a garbage country like Canada do these kind of jobs.

Every liberal town or province has become a shithole, and this has been pretty consistent even when you look south of the boarder. Want to know what works? Natural diversity, not forced diversity. If you introduce multicultural immigration, it allows those who come in to adjust at a normal and consistent pace. This allows immigrants to get the education they need, the job they need, and the position they are qualified and skilled for. Forced diversity only breaks the system, and immigrants gets lost in it and are not able to get the necessary education and skill they need. Therefore, you have the lack of diversity in any corporation or business that are operating today.

Well the governments of Canada have made it illegal for us to express our views. As a white English Canadian I don't think most of us hate people because they came from abroad. If people came to Canada and actually became Canadians I don't think 90% of people have an issue with that. The problem is people are coming here and are not assimilating. Especially the people from Asian and African nations. But this is not surprising to me because their culture is so different from ours. I would prefer immigrants came from northern Europe especially the British Isles and France due to having a shared history, values, and culture similar to Canada. \n\nThe other issue is mass immigration mostly only benefits wealthy people because they get cheap labour. People coming from countries with a much lower standard of living are used to earning less and living with less so they depress wages for working people here. The so called skilled immigrants that our government tells us will solve all of our nations problems are not. No one recognizes their skills here so they end up taking jobs away from other Canadians. \n\nI think Canada's solution would be to stop relying on foreigners and invest in Canadian people. I would cut immigration levels by 75%. I would limit immigrant applicants to make up only 5% from one country. Also we should only allow Canadian citizens to own property. Dual citizenship should be eliminated. You should only be loyal to Canada. \n\nThe government should also stop spending money on Black lives Matter, criminals, drug addicts, and other socialist non-sense. Government spending and taxes should be cut in half and free enterprise should be encouraged. We should be using money towards infrastructure and education. We should be training Canadians to become engineers, doctors, and skilled tradesmen. I would rather invest in our own people that try to accommodate foreigners.

I am so thankful to Ottawa for making Canadian immigration much easier for skilled workers. Living abroad is literally a dream for so many Indians including me.

Most, if not all, immigrants have gone through rigorous English proficiency tests from reading, writing, speaking. Likewise most of the immigrants have high educational backgrounds, so they’re definitely proficient in English. They may not have the native speaker accent (just like yourselves) but I highly doubt they could be regarded as not being proficient in the English language. What’s the big deal about the English language by the way? among all of the languages, it’s the easiest to master. So I highly doubt that’s one of the real reasons. It’s more on the stupid “not having Canadian experience” thing. Which is really doesn’t make much sense. How would you expect most immigrants to have Canadian work experience? This backwards thinking is among the reason why Canada is lagging compared to other global countries. Only Canada has this rule. That way, it’s limiting its chances of getting the best talents from every part of the world. Because of this rule, highly skilled immigrants are forced to work jobs that doesn’t require technical skills just to pay the bills, until they got fed up for not being able to get jobs according to their high skills and eventually leave Canada for the US.

@CitImmCanada -I came to Canada in 2018 , paid my Tutiom fees working day and night offf , completed my graduation in 2020.I worked as manager in gas station from 2020-2022 during pandemic putting my life on risk , you guys first messed your immigration system during pandemic,after pandemic you got this absurd system of TR2PR , messed up your own system , in which there are Still millions of files pending , then you guys stopped the immigration for 1 year, still I thought it would get better with the time. When the immigration started back in this July the scores were so high that only PHD and people outside Canada with 0 canadian skills can only get the PR. You guys then gave visas to Afghanis , Ukrainians (the fake humanitarian help your government provides )which I don’t mind but the government should have fixed the people who are and we’re here , who came as students , who has all the details of the individuals , has all the experience needed , has all the potential needed to start the career , has 0 criminal record but no you guys keeps getting new and messed up plans. like seriously this country and system is run by this type of people. I am gonna be going back to my country soon as I don’t wantt to stay now in Canada. The coming 10 years will be a disaster if your government and people won’t WAKE UP!!!!

Most Canadian citizens & the immigrants in Canada after getting Canadian PR using it as a gateway to America, they're actually moving to a better country like USA America. Not going back to their home countries like India, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Nigeria, Romania, Greece, Ukraine, Phillipines, Vietnam, Venuzvela, Colombia etc.. Most either move to US apply for a work visa & Green Card for citizenship. Or if they're 'money minded' & highly skilled in demanded professions, they move to Dubai, Kuwait, Doha Qatar, all the Middle East GCC Gulf countries, where they earn twice the money in Gulf, than they might earn in USA, like Surgeons, Doctors, Software Engineers, IT etc

I’m not being rude however I’ve never understood why immigrants say they come to the US for a better lifestyle when essentially majority of immigrants hold a prestigious skill in their country only to relocate to the US & become a janitor cook are something beneath what they were doing living a comfortable life just to live like a homeless person coming to America ?? are Canada ?? are anywhere. It has never made sense to me unless u live in a poor underdeveloped country. Bringing in immigrants with skills and then not letting them use those skills is a waste and depressing. Absolutely there should be a shorter testing path to get those skilled immigrants into the jobs for which they are trained.

Before you start anything this important you have to do the research. Check for homelessness, inflation, affordable housing availability, also what kind of education and skills will these 500.000 immigrants have and will they speak English?? In order for this plan to work for the good of all, the Canadian Charter must change, as it stands right now immigrants have more rights \nthan the Canada born citizen. Canadians use immigrants as a way of life. The entire country runs on immigrant labor. However when an American moves to Canada, with advanced skills to bring to the table, we are treated like the Indian folks, so we just turn back around and go home.

Most of these problems are not just Canadian problems but are immigrant problems and some are just developed nations problems , most people will face them in every country they go to!! The uk, us, Australia mention others are all expensive with just a 0.4 difference! Getting a Canadian passport and moving to another country which is not your native country will solve nothing and it’s not easy to move to a new country unless you have someone to sponsor you!! A Canadian passport will not allow you to work in the US or UK you will need sponsorship for a visa _ all it offers is a free visit visa for about 6 months I guess but not allowed to work! Work visas are complicated and depend more on skills than passport you hold! As a US citizen I can’t work in Canada visa free I can only visit_ the same with Canadians coming to the US or the UK ! \nFor the weather I feel you! We’re lucky In the US cos every type of weather you want you can get it without sacrificing living in a big city But other problems are quite similar everywhere! You have to walk around them and create ways to enjoy the beauty your country has to offer! Running away from from a country your a citizen of cos of loneliness or boredom is not a solution especially when you moving to a country your not even a resident of! Cos establishing residence is never easy unless you have a community there already! Otherwise it will be worse than where your running from!

Your video just popped up and I was drawn to watch it. I have been in Sydney for 7 years. Same pathway in - a student visa, but I got PR through my studies soon after my graduation and now a citizen. Yes, I agree that Australian permanent residency is tough, but I also realise that not equipping yourself with the right information creates a hurdle for many people. If PR is the goal, the SOL and every other related information leading from that list should be your manual. Let that information guide your decisions. However, I concur that Australia's stance on immigration is confusing - harping on about skilled shortages and wanting to attract the right people, but also keeping them in limbo for ages. Hello everyone...I've been to Canada,  and back in South Africa,  a failed immigrant,I'm a finance professional.  The country is inviting thousands especially from the subcontinent so they bring and burn all their savings in Canada.  Its not about how hard it is or how quickly you can get into Canada. Its about what you will do there. There are simply not enough jobs for skilled educated workers  , its ok for meat cutters and other blue collar jobs who have nothing to lose,but not for qualified professionals.  It's a harsh,  unwelcoming country where Ex professionals from India end up driving taxis. My advice...if you are a professional degreed worker in India,  Please do NOT move to Canada unless you have a confirmed job offer or have done your research.  Do your math about salary vs. Living expenses. Good luck. Don't jump into a lake if you can't swim...

I dont see why I should give my best years to a country treating you as an option when canada is making you a priority. \n\nWould you have stayed on if you got a Job in your field that also chose to sponsor your PR? What does building new homes have to do with the price of a home? The bar has been set, nobody is going to go back to selling houses for 150,000 - 200,000 doesn't matter how many homes you build. Also how long will it be before we actually see results from this 4 billion investment, by the time it does anything to help there will be even more Canadians and more immigrants. So there will be an entire generation missing out. \nMaybe you need to go back to school and learn better math skills.

Sounds like Canada is a better place for low skilled workers. Foreigners, especially those who immigrate illegally, are protected, even from being spoken against. In the US, they are mocked and Americans tey to run them out. The US does make it easier for high skilled workers, as long as they enter legally.

It takes me 3 months to get a doctor appointment in the US here in Seattle and I was just told several months to see my eye doctor. Depending on medical plan the insurance means you do not go to the specialist without a referral. So Canadians may not have as much to complain about. My parents were immigrants to Canada because it was easier (my father was in Danish Merchant Marine and was in China Sea when his appointment would come up in New York). They did not have it easy because they did not speak the language and worked hard to learn. Working as a housekeeper was the norm for females and my mother's education meant nothing when she expected to work in a bank. Danes stuck together and helped each other to get jobs, with carpentry (most had apprenticeships like brick laying), to socialize, etc. and this is normal for immigrants. Working multiple jobs was normal and having a great home was their American dream instead of a government apartment. It is true for all immigrants that their kids will do better than the parents. The kids will have no accent if they learn English by age 12. There are age cutoffs on learning a language in child development. During the hiring process the jobs are given to people the interviewer perceives as being like themselves. This is proven by psychologists (I am one). This puts immigrants at a disadvantage unless they have a rare skill without competition. Dad got his house and Mom took my sister and went back to Denmark because of health issues and the US has garbage medical care and social services for the elderly (poor sister didn't speak Danish because it wasn't allowed in case it impacted our English skill). As a daughter of immigrants I worked 20 hours days and weekends almost all my life. I put myself through school and have been successful despite being female and making much less than men. Immigrants need to realize that it will be their kids who make the big bucks and succeed while the parents who immigrated will struggle. As a cultural mix (US, Canadian and Danish citizen because of wacky sexist rules) I have had a lot of confusion over the years trying to fit in and figure out what my values are. I have had to ask my US husband is that behavior normal? Of course different states in the US or going 200 miles north to Canada means a different language to speak (Canadian or Spanish in the South) and different values, ways of dress, etc. so being an immigrant can mean just traveling 200 miles north or to an insane state like Texas or New York. Culture shock is everywhere but most of us move for the money. I am thinking of going back to Canada but my home was Vancouver and that now looks like a hell hole. The biggest issue is most immigration in Canada are highly skilled people the Canadian government are looking to exploit via taxes. Canada is only a good Country if you want to sit on your ass and do nothing. The more you make the more they take to pay for everyone else. I have no choice but to stay in this Country (born and raised), but I have travelled a bit with the Canadian Military and if my life was different I would probably try and find another Country to try.

The Canadian government makes it incredibly difficult for employers to hire legal immigrants in skilled positions. I know several examples of employees and companies spending enormous amounts of effort, time and money to traverse the bureaucratic obstacle course.

I moved to Canada about 17 years ago and yes it is an absolute pain to jump through all the hoops they want you to go through. I was only here a few days and I came from Ireland as a brick and stone mason they recruited me from Ireland and wanted me to come out. Within three days on the job I learned I would be getting less wages than the other bricklayers. I packed up my tools and walked off the job I notified the employer and the union by emails and told him I’d be flying back home in a few days. Well the union and the employers came running straight away to get me to stay. Trying to explain that after a couple of months I’d be on the same money as the rest of the guys. This is where I explain to them that taking home C$1100 was already a pay cut a massive pay cut as are used to take home 2500 to 2200 Euros living in Ireland. I moved to Canada for a change of lifestyle but that doesn’t mean I was going to be taken advantage of. And that’s when they said they would pay me the same as everybody else. Sometimes you just have to stand up for yourself and be willing to follow through. They even reimbursed me for the airline ticket I bought to go back. Some skill sets they really need in this country in addition Canadians population growth is absolutely dependent upon immigration as the family sizes and birth rates are critically to lol to sustained a country. As I’ve said I’ve been living here 17 years now and I am a Canadian citizen I guess that makes me an Irish Canadian now.

You gals are on point with most of the things. However, there are few things that were not discussed here that might be of help to those planning to immigrate. Things that they should know before they pack their bags in the hopes that they will have the best of both worlds once they land in Canada. Most immigration agents give false hopes as they get paid for doing so. So, research, research, research before you put all your money in one basket. While some people return to their home country because they eventually have come to realization that Canada will not give them the life they hoped for, others some how manage to settle down. Then there is another group that stay behind because they have no place to go because they made the big mistake of putting all they had in one basket and took risk of spending it in Canada. Finding a job in Canada is based on whom you know rather than what your skill sets and qualifications are. Foreign qualifications including U.S degrees are not well accepted in Canada. U.S employers hire based on skill sets and whom you know is not much of a factor that will impact your job search. Unlike Canada, U.S accepts foreign qualified workers in most professional jobs and do not require that you to study in U.S for most professional fields. While pay is 40% more in U.S for the same job in Canada, home prices in U.S are 40% less expensive than in Canada. Food for thought.

Hello everyone...I've been to Canada, and back in South Africa, a failed immigrant,I'm a finance professional. The country is inviting thousands especially from the subcontinent so they bring and burn all their savings in Canada. Its not about how hard it is or how quickly you can get into Canada. Its about what you will do there. There are simply not enough jobs for skilled educated workers , its ok for meat cutters and other blue collar jobs who have nothing to lose,but not for qualified professionals. It's a harsh, unwelcoming country where Ex professionals from India end up driving taxis. My advice...if you are a professional degreed worker in India, Please do NOT move to Canada unless you have a confirmed job offer or have done your research. Do your math about salary vs. Living expenses. Good luck. Don't jump into a lake if you can't swim...

Good information \nI checked all the Canadian immigration programs.They are offering jobs for international in mostly Catagory C and D For Catagory A they have Many restrictions.The employers Need LMiA to hire forgien workers.And you also have to get licenses. go through a long process to get licenses.in skill level C or D you hardly cover your own living expenses.Even in skill level A with out license your pay will not cover your living expenses.you are very wise

1. Hard to Find a job - even if you find work, which a lot of immigrants do because they are so skilled, the pay is just not enough to keep up with the expenses. I would let prospective immigrants watching this video know, that the grass looks greener from your home countries, but it really isn't. There's people with 6 figure incomes here that are worried about their futures. Do not come here. You will not find work or housing now, which is already unaffordable at Canadian income levels.

To be honest I haven't finished watching your video because a point came to my mind and before I forget, decided to ask you girls here. I understand that working for a company, restaurant or a hotel is tough, especially finding one. \n1)What about if an immigrant has a kind of business skill or experience say in a fast food sector and has all that it takes to run a small fast food shop, which i think is better and more lucrative than trying to find a job elsewhere.
