The amount of money international students specifically indian students invest in getting admissions and visa here, is the amount of money they can use to get very rich education without even working and just studying and staying in a good hostel with food there in India. So, clearly they are not coming here for education, the primary goal is somehow to become a permanent resident of canada.

When I come to Canada in 1986, you could hardly see a visible minorities. The problem is bogus refugees and the fake Indian students who come here for not studying but staying permanently.

Its a simple thing. Folks are trying to leave for a better life, they then got to know about Canada giving 3years postgraduate work permit to international students who studied for two years and, there are permanent residence programs you qualify and can apply for after getting one year Canadian work experience. This is what encouraged many international students to head in this direction. Unfortunately, half of about 800,000 international students admitted to Canada came from India (if i'm not mistaken), many of them had to borrow the money to pay fees or their family sold their ancestral land or used it borrow money with the hope that when their child who they sponsored with the money is done, he/she will be the family's hope to not only pay back, but help them relocate too. However, the picture is not looking like it anymore as the demand for jobs surged and many are not able to get jobs or can't find the kind of jobs that can make them get PR and, their current work permit is about to expire, which means they may be faced with going back home with nothing so, they are pulling every string they can to stay back because, returning will mean they are a failure and can even cause their family a lot of emotional damage. Infact, i have heard of some of them who committed suicide as they are not meeting up and are not ready to go and face the shame back home. So, what you are seeing is the definition of desperation!

Everybody knows it, but everyone either lies about it or pretends it's otherwise. The primary motive of international students from low and lower income countries coming to Canada is for permanent residency, registering into a post-secondary course is just the price to pay for PR as far as they are concerned. International students know it, the government knows it, and post-secondary institutions know it. Let's all drop the education charade and have a clear cut policy about immigration through education. One easy way is by strictly requiring that all foreign graduates can ONLY apply for immigration from their home country after graduating from Canada. This is the only way Canada can control the timing, the process and the quality of people.

Studying in Canada is a trap. The standards of universities and colleges do not meet the job market requirements. The PGWP (Post-Graduation Work Permit) and PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) systems are traps for international students, giving them false hope that they can get PR (Permanent Residency) if they do certain things. These programs just bring in money for colleges and universities. Students borrow loans to study at these institutions. 1) The Indian government should ban student loans for studying in Canada. The Australian system is much clearer and more transparent, and it does not fluctuate like the stock market. 2) Canadians should come forward and tell the Indian media or directly inform people in India that Indians are not welcome, because many in India are unaware of this, and by the time they realize, it’s too late. 3) An easy way to get Canadian PR is to declare Themself a Khalistani supporter. .......Protest of Khalistan is okay but not okay for Visa extension

Most of the punjabis go to sham colleges , where they go for 1 day and enroll , after that they don't go for 2 years and get sham graduate certificates. Then they pay $20 Thousand to lawyers who apply for workpermit and the lawyers even help them with the fraud and after that they apply for Permanent Resident while giving fake work experience where the lawyer helps them . It's not this man's fault our justice system is broken. He's just a symptom. Broken down regulations and laissez-faire job qualifications and monitoring caused this accident, not malevolent actions by the driver. He served his time and has shown remorse for the accident. When a deportation order comes down it should happen within a week and then they can appeal the permanence of it from wherever they end up at their cost. That Canadian Taxpayers have to fund these appeals is ridiculous.

Im currently 15 years old. And i wanted to go to Canada for education. I never wanted to live in America, cause every day i heard about a pretty bad police and Health care and obviously people. \nNiether go to Australia cause there are a lot of dangerous plants and animals (Im not going to lose an eye to a bird, or life to a spider). \nAnd i honestly praying that to the time i get 18-19, Canada became better. Cause i do believe that this insane crisis Canada is right now, isn't permanent. \nAll countries were in a crisis, and most pf them got out of it. Like England, France, America, Belgium and etc.

What is happening is all the new immigants international students are taking all the jobs from the canadians in poor situationlike the construccion jobs. So all tge international students not really cames to studing they came to get a job and later apply for a permanent resident in the same construccion companny. So is no more jobs for the canadkans poor whi no jobs is not food and not housing for them. Because they are taking the shelters hlysi g and a food banks to. They are using the student visa to get IN to Canada, FIRST, and from there an immigration consultant who normally are from their own ethnic background will persuade these students under false pretense that they (consultant) would be able to help them get permanent residency. This is a scam in itself by their own people.\nGovernment should make a stand regarding the student visa policy on temporary work permit for students, then after the program ends, they should go. Why grant these thousands of students permanent residency at this time. Thank God someone cover this thing. I am Indian Sikh moved here with my parents in 2021 and we are permanent Resident. I am disable so my parents thought it would be a great country in terms of opportunities but you know what I have not get any job because wherever I went for interview, there are so many international students looking for job as well. \nBring a citizen, it’s very heartbreaking that other who don’t have PR , still getting jobs.

These people are protesting because they were first told that if they work 6 months they can be nominated for Provincial Nomination (PNP) for their Permanent residence (advertised by the government of PEI) and then overnight these rules were changed. People were misinformed by the PEI PNP officials that these rules are temporary. However, the case was otherwise. Hope this give you people a bit of insight. For those who are saying that these people should be deported. These people are the reason 90% of sales sector runs on this Island. People before used to wait 20 minutes for one coffee (coming from the people who’ve been living on the island since they are born). On top of that check the stats and check amount of money government is getting from these people in form of tuitions and taxes.

I was an international Student....15 years ago. I paid about 30k in tuition A YEAR.. I was NOT allowed to work off campus, i was allowed to work ON campus for a maximum of 10 hours A WEEK...in order for me to maintain my Visa status i had to maintain a GPA over 3.5 AND i had to be enrolled in an accredited institution. Our international student department had a quota of how many students they could recruit from every country... Rent was affordable, jobs were aplenty and when it came time for an Internship companies would come do hiring fairs and fight to get students to want to work for them. Now they get about 60k applicants a year that are willing to work for free and taking away from actual citizens.\nAfter 8 years of working and grinding and stressing i earned the right to get a Permanent residence...i had to commit 3 years out of 5 to stay here and work here and pay taxes for me to become a Canadian ...it was the proudest day of my life. I was filled with a sense of achievement that has been shat on by these students. \nIf you or anyone would actually like to talk about how it should be feel free to reach out.\nI will tell you this for free...if a Canadian Citizen did this in my country .. they'd be on the first flight home.

As an Indian With lots of Canadian Based Indian Friends , I can 100% assure you that None of these people are there for education or to finish their studies and come back........They are there to gain a backdoor entry into gaining Canadian Permanent Residence......
