Here is the crux as I feel about it : Canada saw US making serious headways in growth due to its immigration policy. However, US scrutnizes like crazy whom they let in. They are very meticulous in drawing guidelines and reviewing them as to who comes in. And have been so for quite a while !\nContrast this to Canada who has been letting just about anybody in, and add to that allow them to launder money. Many of the heavy corrupt players from Russia, China and around the world saw Canada (UK and others) as a perfect haven. \nBring in the worst of the worst into your shores, accept all the blood money they got to invest in housing and other sectors,, and you are handcrafting a 'crisis to be' !

Protesting in another country where you are a student is not allowed and the act itself can get you deported. However, the scams the Canadian colleges and universities do in countries like India and Pakistan is terrible. These students pay almost double the money local kids do. They r most times highly qualified and have availed of an opportunity offered by these institutes. When such things happen, its obvious that they are unhappy. I think the Indian government needs to start issuing advisory. I don't think its worth it, I wish people understood this. The US, Germany/Europe,UK even Australia is much different. Believe it or not, a lot of these students wish to pay back student loans and get out of this scam. Canada is beautiful, but the amount of scams here, prepostrous.

Starting in 2001 it took me 5 years and a long series of bureaucratic hoops to jump through to get Canadian citizenship. I’m originally from the UK and had a PhD in neuroscience and was doing post-doctoral research. I’ve since had a long teaching career in colleges and am proud to have given something back to my adopted country. It now seems that Canada allows almost anyone entrance, with little rational objective or consideration for the Canadian workforce or culture.

They breed like rabbits in there own country and take over entire cities and suburbs in the UK, Canada, Australia. It’s crazy how many of them are here in Australia.

Things are so bad for disabled and poor people like myself here in the UK that I've been thinking about leaving for another country, despite knowing I'd lose what little income I DO have. Remember that the standard of living has dropped in Canada so a lot of British have left or never bothered to leave the UK for Canada or they moved to Australia for a better life. There are are lot of expats doing well in Spain aswell who have built up businesses there. Canada would be the last place I would go to if I had a choice.

Coming from the UK, it's laughable seeing white people of European ancestry claiming Canada is 'their country'. Tell that to the indigenous peoples that were displaced as a result of colonisation. They've got the real right to say they feel like strangers in their own land.

I'm born in the UK to Serbian parents, but grown up in Norway so I've seen three different cultures in my life all at once. I always liked Canada for being diverse because then I wouldn't have to switch between being English, Serbian or Norwegian, I could be more me because I am basically multicultural. For years I've idealised Canada and it wasn't until just two weeks ago that I got to visit and see for myself what Canada is like. I was in Toronto and also in Vancouver visiting a family that moved there from the UK I hadn't seen since I was a kid. I loved the nature (Especially Vancouver my god!) and the people, but I learned about how extremely expensive housing in Canada is to the point that it would be hard to make ends meet just renting a place let alone buying a house. Also how immigration is out of control and those who do come to Canada are disproportionately from one country being India rather than many different, which is not good for maintaining diversity. This is something I saw having lived most of my two weeks in Mississauga just south of the airport.\n\nI hope you guys finally get someone better in the next election, because I have more hopes for Canada than I do for the UK. Punjabis in foreign are very anti-India, yet they retain their OCI cards. The difference between UK based Punjabis and those in Canada and Australia is stark. Even those Punjabi/Sikhs that went to Spain loved Spanish culture and assimilated quickly.

I've honestly never really thought of it but as a Canadian that moved to the UK (Scotland specifically) it is crazy to have it broken down this way. My partner (Scottish) and I talked about the pros and cons in living in either country and we came to the conclusion is was better to live in the UK. TBF she is an engineer and in the future it may be better to live in Canada but right now between the salary and time off (20 day (CAD) vs her current 40 days off plus flexible working days (equals out to more like 44)) it's better to live in Scotland. I was also able to find a much better high paying job here in the UK (Edinburgh no less) than anywhere in Canada and have continued to work here in the UK cheaper.\n I hope to move back to Canada one day but don;' know if it will ever be possible.

@Harrison, there a bunch of holes in your story an thus superficial or lacking, yet has potential to be more Canadian in that you need to differentiate a bit more, attention in the details that you may have missed, votebank, Punjab province certain cluster of uncouth or gang type, instead of drawing in all religions and races and the best educated like how the US does with it, instead of a votebank cluster, that make up only 3% of the Indian population, yet 50% of Brampton, yet Canada is slower to do such. Moved from Canada to the UK for work in the games industry as I wasn't seeing many opportunities in Ontario. Though my place of work is laying people off, so there's a chance that the visa may expire and I will have to return. It's a challenging time no matter what.

Canada feels like its becoming like Great Britain, an absoulte nightmare to live and have any hope! I thought about coming to beautiful Canada as had fond memories back in 2004 but it seems like most things after 2008 crash most countries are becoming a nightmare to have a decent lifestyle! Im looking at Australia for a country that offers a decent wage and lifestyle! Only problem is on the other side of the Planet from my connections! Don't move to the UK as its becoming an absoulte nightmare to live and have a basic lifestyle especially in London!

I strongly disagree with this video. Canada is still by far a superior country compared to US. The home crisis is common to UK, France, Italy and many other countries, even without migrants. Compared to the average US citizen, Canadian enjoy a better health system, a competitive infrastructure system, some of the best educational possibilities and a greater equality in opportunities. It's often referred as an European-like country, and its human development index largely show how a successful model it is. This video emphasize some points without mentioning how bad the US situation is (healthcare disaster, the broken municipalities of the country, the private debt explosion, the educational debt, the federal debt, the gentrification of the major hub, the falling of the dollar as a world reserve currency and many more)
