If a country opens its borders to Palestinian refugees, they facilitate Israel’s objective of flattering Gaza and ethically cleansing the land to allow for further expansion and illegal settlement. Israel want to get rid of Palestine and all its people, chasing them out and killing those who are too slow. By standing their ground, the Arab world are forcing the west to see what they have supported and see what Israel are doing and encouraging them to change and to act and to stop the genocide. But it is also at the expense of tens of thousands of lives and an entire nations facilities. The Arab world are letting the bodies pile high until the west can't look away any more. I understand both sides of this and dislike both options, letting Palestinians die, and letting Israel take Gaza by accepting refugees. I can't say I support Saudi Arabias actions, but I also would feel the same if they opened their doors to refugees. Neither one are the right solution, and only we westerners can make this stop. And believe me, I am trying to do my part. I have signed. I have shared. I have donated. I have protested. And I will continue to do so until there is a free Palestine

I start to wonder if there's anyone who is not struggling in Toronto unless rich? I got a well paying job, not even my own place (shared house with too many people) and a car and an estimate of 70-80% of my income is used for monthly bills. You don't even get the basics in this city without struggling. Looking for alternative but rental prices seem to be high everywhere even in Kingston and other places far away. Food prices are insane, going out has become very expensive. Don't even mention all the taxes and high car insurance rates. Feel stuck. It's a nightmare.

But there will be a time when God (for me his name is Jehovah), will step in and fix things. In the meantime, It's awesome you are putting your family first. Hi, I was born and raised in the UK to Pakistani parents. My dad was also born and raised in the UK but my mum was born in Pakistan and came to the UK when she got married. Since 2019 we were planning to move, even though my family live in the UK, so it was going to be hard. We were moving for the purpose of education and better our selves in deen (faith). My dad was worried about our future and what things we would learn. Unfortunately my grandmother passed away in October 2020 when we least expected it. May Allah grant her the highest rank in jannah. Aameen. So we delayed the move till I finished secondary school (Highschool). In May/June 2022 I took my final exams and we booked our tickets to move to Pakistan at the end of August 2022, so I could get my results. In August 2022 we moved to Pakistan and since then we have enjoyed it, in June 2023 we went back to the UK for a holiday for 6 weeks and we loved it as we got to see our family.

Our apartment owner who was Christian was not letting us go. He said that u guys r such an amazing people, good Muslims, nice to everyone and take Care for everyone. It was really hard for both of my parents but Allah made it easy for us. My mom passed away when I was 18 and my brother 15 and I really miss her. My option is u can guys move to Pakistan. U can get Islamic education + Islamic environment. No matter how bad our politics, government doesn't care about Its own country and no cleanliness but I still love Pakistan. I really respect you guys for making such a hardest decision with strength. I really support you guys with this decision. Just don't mind I was just giving an advice that Pakistan is way better but it is totally up to u guys which country u like to make your better life. My family moved 22 years ago from Mumbai to Toronto…while the struggles said on your channel are real, there are also perks which I feel like you didn’t get to experience. If people have good jobs, stable family life then DON’T move…culture shock is huge that people moving from India don’t consider, just by wearing and eating western food doesn’t make you western! \nThere are sacrifices to be expected which you don’t realized as your great grandparents or grandparents might have made when they started out! \nMoving to another country is never easy, unless you’re loaded with $$$. People in India are lazy as they have people working for them and don’t realize how difficult it is living outside of that lifestyle (not everyone in India can afford housekeepers, cleaners). Being independent and doing things on your own has its own positive (just need to figure it out). \n\nI have worked in healthcare for 16 years and let me tell you…social system works better as everyone gets the health service without being judged about $$. Healthcare is based on priority around the world but people don’t understand this as they feel like their problem should be attended first no matter what! \nNot all drugs are legal in Canada, marijuana is legal though with acceptable limits…you probably were misinformed about drugs! Teach your kids about right /wrong when it comes to drugs, smoking, alcohol and that’s the best you can do! I know people who live in India and do all that which you mentioned you were worried about for your kids. \n\nWhat you experienced was a classic case of culture shock and your expectations didn’t match the reality! Moving away from family, changing lifestyle and being responsible adult (doing things on your own rather than relying on workers) is difficult but doesn’t make the country bad that have you an opportunity to settle! Don’t take things for granted even while you live in India…appreciate the effort that goes into everything- keeping roads clean, people working hard, etc. \n\nBest advice I can give to those considering moving to any foreign country is: Keep an open mind, be ready to work hard and visit the country you want to move to before you make the grave decision of uprooting everything! Things usually turn around and get better after 5 years mark- focus on upgrading your education if you have a basic degree from India (even you know how competitive things are in India, so how can western world not be!)\n\nBeing vegetarian- things are tough when it comes to food but living in Toronto has never been an issue. Even people living in India avoid outside food due to hygiene reason which is not a problem in Canada as food inspection is pretty strict (having worked with ministry of health). \nCities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc has variety of food options (including veg)…just have to be really open to trying other cultural food (Asian, Mediterranean, Italian,Mexican, etc). My parents are strict vegetarians and have never truly struggled when they are out. \n\nCost of living is definitely higher as the standard living is higher compared to India. Education (until grade 12) and healthcare are free (in reality, you pay tax for it), you get pension when you retire (based on your contributions and type of jobs you had)…you failed to navigate the system and I will say having family around is why you didn’t take opportunity to explore and learn on your own. \n\nPlease don’t come to Canada and make life difficult for other Indians who choose to willingly accept the culture and lifestyle here after going through this hardship- cost of living and housing has gone up dramatically in major cities because of immigration influx! If you’re serious about moving and putting up, only then move! Otherwise all the best for your future endeavours!

No all of Ontario is that expensive . Toronto, Ottawa and major cities but if you were to look at Cambridge or you are 1 hour from T.O. but you can get a studio or apartment under 2k . You can get a fully detached Houseman cambridge ontario 3 bedroom around 1100 for around 500k . Again about 1 hour away. It depends what you want. If you like the big city of Toronto then you have to pay to play. Right now there are opportunities especially with work from home now.

I live in a condo I pay a $2100 mortgage payment for a 220k mortgage of $700+500=$1200 maintenance and levy. $1800 Property Tax I work throughout BC so I spend $10.000 on fuel and $3000 car maintenance. left over on Grocery. The running cost makes me feel like $20000 down in advance every month which means if I get $ 20,000 today it will be zero right away.

Then one of the people wasnt even a medical person and was a firefighter and she asked if he could walk to the ambulance while having a heart attack. \nThen they took him out in pajamas and no tshirts in 0c weather then didnt give hime a blanket in the ambulance. ONE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS WHILE HAVING A HEART ATTACK IS TO BE WARM. \nLuckily the other woman was really good at her job an new it was an emergency from the EKG and my pops was impressed with her driveing and her work. He just couldn't believe that the firefighters asked him to walk to the ambulance while in his condition.\nHe made it but only has 30% heart function

WHERE are municipal politicians supposedly limiting the construction of homes? I don’t see it. \n\nWe are aware that there are regulations in place to protect buyers and that self-serving industries lobby to do away with, as those protective regulations can reduce profits. Some provincial governments (like Alberta) are highly sympathetic to lobbies and industries, to the detriment of citizens. \nWhy are you not pointing to the fact that successive federal governments of the past stopped funding the construction of lower cost housing (thereby creating more demand AND our number one problem of unmitigated greed throughout the real estate and home building industries? We have some people in government attempting to get more low cost homes built while industries know that they can make more money building houses that are far, far bigger than people NEED. Dumbasses and keep-up-the-Jones folks unwisely buy these homes and then many of them have difficulty affording a lifestyle that they think they are entitled to. Meanwhile, lower income earners have been priced right out the market. Of course, capitalists and real estate investors like Pierre Poilievre will never admit that these are our actual problems. Regulating the construction and real estate industries could have gotten a lot more homes built in higher density for young and lower income Canadians, as well as for our newcomers. \n\nToo much blind and poorly informed anger, selfishness, and foolishness going around. Canadians of the past who pulled together during world wars would call us weak and entitled.

Dont bother coming to Canada, its freezing for 6 months, and getting a job is virtually impossible, its very expensive to live and the taxes are more than 50%. Stay away. I am 60. Once past 60, a person's health starts to slowly fade away, and if you don't have top-notch health care available, you will die when you get a fairly mild illness and you cannot get the care you need for that 'mild' illness. For this reason, I am now making plans to move to some other modern country where there actually is government-funded healthcare that is still in good shape (not America; they don't have government-funded healthcare). This is simply a 'life-and-death' situation.

The more monopolies, the greater the income inequality, and the more broken your country becomes.\n\nWhen mentioning the housing crisis, it's important to remember that it goes along with a massive homelessness problem. And a very large percentage of the homeless population are people with untreated mental health disorders, because there's no effective mental healthcare in Canada and it's almost impossible to get disability for a mental health disorder.\n\nMany people don't have health insurance, and if you don't have health insurance, you can't afford medication, which is incredibly expensive. Which means your disability increases. It's extremely hard to get a family doctor (I was on a waiting list for 3 years before I finally got a call, and I've been trying to get an appointment with a specialist for over a year now). The hospitals are telling people to stay away unless your situation is dire. The food banks are turning people away because they're running out of food.\n\nAs far as I can tell, the government no longer cares about anyone who isn't wealthy.

Some arrived here (in summer) with NO housing (which is ASS BACKWARDS ~ Y R U bringing ppl here when there R NO places for US to live let alone immigrants??!!) & they were sleeping in the streets/parks. If you move away from your home country, it takes half the time of your actual age to understand, & get used to the country you move into. \n1) Ikea also offers assembly service for which you have to pay. \n2) home owner/landlord didn’t improve noise isolation issue of their floorings. It’s normal practice of most lazy landlords who only rents their basement for reducing their mortgage cost. Or probably didn’t even know that it is doable.\n3) Employment- I am glad to see you found a skilled workplace somewhat related to your career. If you had to go through odd jobs, you would have left Canada within a month. \n4) Hospitals- Indian Government hospitals works the same way. Priorities go to life threatening patients first. But as an ex-Indian, we love spending arms and legs of money. Our loved ones survive going in private hospitals without insurance. \n5) socializing & jokes- I think you should’ve moved to Brampton so you can be part of the ghettoized community we have created there. so what day by day their crime rates are going high, we can at least understand the joke we can laugh on there. And there is no home sickness feeling.\n6) Weed!! - India has legalized alcohol, tobacco consumption. It does not mean anyone can go buy this. Even to buy legal weed in Canada you have to show your ID. At least that process is followed properly here.\n7) Vegetarian- if you want to follow a diet like this, all you have to request the restaurant to swap the meat with either potato hashbrowns, or if they have soya bean patties. \n8) Struggle- struggle is part of life. There is no requirement of whining about it. Well the current government wants to take our personal property away, control the media, limit our rights, make it so expensive we have to choose between putting a roof over our head or eating. This is not entirely unlike what women experience. If you go to the Indian consulate in Canada, you would find they behave similarly. The situation has improved a lot compared to 2015 and 2016. I lost my passport in Canada and was living 300 kilometers away from Toronto. When I went to the Toronto consulate to get my passport (now everything is done by BLS, but it wasn't the case back then), the officer, despite knowing I had all the necessary documents, insisted I obtain an unnecessary police document related to an FIR. I was surprised and pleaded extensively, but was still told to go back and return with the document. When I returned, the police officer told me they don't issue such documents. I went back to the consulate and was still denied. I protested there for 20-30 minutes. Eventually, with the same documents I initially presented, I obtained my passport. Such incidents used to be quite common.

100% bang on.. I've lived in Dubai (traveled to many other countries).. this is nowhere near being considered as developed anymore (GDP criteria is outdated)..Canada got developed and they forgot to update and even upgrade..!! The drug situation is so bad that I really hope that you didn't come across crackheads/homeless who are under the influence of drugs at all times.. No doubt there are way more homeless people in India, but they are working or at least trying in some way to make their life better and they never hurt you at least, here, it's the opposite, as they literally can do anything.. you can find them roaming all over on the streets of Old Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa.. You can literally find them everywhere.. someone commented earlier that you should give 2 years.. Bro or sis.. it's a complete waste as I am at the same point.. and on top of it when you invested 2 years, it even becomes tougher as it becomes even harder to go back as you have spent so much on furniture, house, car, tools, n all and most importantly - 2 YEARS of life. I left my pregnant wife and have been staying away from her and a 1-and-a-half-year-old baby boy hoping that we'll create a better future and can afford to struggle right now.. its been 2+ years.. Honestly.. I am still not able to figure out whether there is any future or I have spoiled my present looking for a future.. its a dilemma beyond explanation in words, with no relatives or anyone based here.. I've a lot at stake currently and that's the only reason I am stuck otherwise leaving this place seems to be inevitable.. \n\nI travel extensively all throughout and forget about expressways anywhere in Canada (Except 407 which has an insane toll rate) it's a 4-lane highway just 80 km from Toronto to the rest of 450+ kms to Montreal which are 2 major cities of this so-called developed country.. same is for Ottawa, the same hold true from Calgary to Edmonton, and any other major town/city!! on top of it, they are struggling to even maintain those (always under construction - even construction is a wrong word to use as they aren't adding anything new.... it is just being repaired in true words) Same is true with adding new infra in terms of hospitals or any other facility... Banking sucks.. Still dealing through the mail (Postal mail).. (Mails not e-mails). I simply can't get that.. the tax agency - CRA sends communications through the mail, and the same with any other agency.. Comon.. grow up is what I feel at times..!! People are literally not willing to work (Except hard-working immigrants), Govt. doesn't have any plans for the future regarding the economy and development... just bringing in immigrants.. that's it..\n\nYou've made a very smart decision and really at a very good time.. wish you, and your family all the best..!!

Sikhs should critically understand the fact that this kirpan is a weapon and can't be wore in public this way just in the name of their religious belief. Gone are the days of Rajas and Maharajas, now it's the rule of law,the constitutional democracy....plz get away with all these nonsense asap.
