Jesus that's shocking . Shows you how bad the southern countries have come still so desperate with tears in their eyes to come to the US ! When it's so bad here to begin with ! We should count our blessings we are lucky to live here in the US .

Stop blaming the migrants you ignorant fools,\nthey're our family\n\nBefore thinking about yourself, ask why they feel the need to rush in like this?\nHave you ever been so desperate for life that you've had to do something like this?\n\nAs a (white) veteran I wish we instead spent our Iraq resources on helping our neighbors in Mexico first\n\nThis is the movement, and I'm proud of their bravery

These people just want to have a better life for themselves and their families . They’re desperate to get out bc of All the violence. We all know what goes on there. Cartels run the government as well \nHowever there are legal ways to enter. It should be the same for them as we do as a nation to help other countries like we have so far. Letting in those affected by war. It shouldn’t be any different for Mexican. .

Why are they all desperate to get over here? So many of us can barely afford housing and food for the month. This is no longer the land of opportunity but rather the land of poverty

Poor people, they are so desperate. There is so much discontent in the world. Most of it could be resolved by eliminating corruption and incentivizing good administration in governments.

Maybe don’t put sanctions on countries and destabilize them. \nThe entire continent of South America has just been screwed by the us for generations. \n\nThis is the cost of extracting resources from countries, people will leave in desperation.

And then when they get here they wave the country’s, that they were desperate to leave, flag.

People are desperate to get into this country. I wonder why? I thought the US was such a horrible place to live.
|
| 2023-05-12 | 0 |
It’s sad because many are in tears and desperate but the USA ?? isn’t prepared financially nor can it hold so many people coming in. We are struggling ourselves to survive. Many of us want to help but we can’t and if they come in we are screwed! People have this misconception that the USA ?? people have all this money etc and we truly don’t. El Paso is getting overrun pretty soon and it’s tough to live here because you don’t know what is going to happen.

I live in the border and I see Venezuelan people everyday walking in the streets, with no house, or a car, just walking with old clothes and shoes. They want to get out of poverty and get a job and they are desperate. And me too.\n\nI’m a Mexican who has the American Dream too but I will cross the border in a legal way. Not like that. And my mother has a shop where the majority of our customers are from Venezuela and Haiti

Why are theses immigrants so desperately wanting to flee into the United States. Its almost like something or someone is after them.? Why. What is happening in Mexico to where they are so frighten they must flee to the United States as though it will be their safe haven. Something is very wrong and disturbing about that.

The Pro leftwing government of Venezuela wanted to renegotiate it's oil contracts with the oil companies operating in Venezuela so that greater amount of revenue would go to the Venezuelan people to improve their living standards, invest social programs that would fight poverty . \n\nAll the oil companies aggred except Chevron who then lobbied the US government to put sanctions on Venezuela. \n\nSo the US government used the predominant power of the USD in the world financial market to put crippling sanctions on Venezuela to ruin and destroy their economy With the hope that the hardships and poverty inflicted on the Venezuelan people would push them to overthrow their government and replace it with a pro US Vassal guy in power. \n\nThe Venezuelan government was able to hold onto power using all sorts of sneaky schemes, but the Venezuelan people's living standards collapsed and poverty and despair flooded that country. \n\nNow their people are heading to the US to find refuge as an act of desperation.\n\nNow Americans are complaining about them heading to the US and forcefully trying to breach the US border.\n\nAs they say\n\nYou made your bed, now lie on it.. You reap what you sowed, greater than you sow... You harvest what you planted. And eat what you cooked.\n\nEnjoy

These people don't look starving and some have dyed hair, this doesn't look right. This doesn't look like the horrible violation of human rights against a desperate class of people.

In many countries they are in desperate situation thanks to the US. Let's not forget what they did to El Salvador, Nicaragua, etc in the 80s. How fighting Venezuela,Cuba...and then sooo surprised that people come knocking at your door. The US wanted and wants so.many countries by their standards. Well...here you go.\nAnd don't forget to teach your school kids the US politics in the last 20-30 years so they start thinking why all this happens.

People dont realize how badly the pandemic hurt other countries. We just saw the tip of the iceberg in the US compared to everyone else. People are desperate, these people wouldnt be coming here if it weren't for the level of corruption in their own countries.

People will suffer as long as we continue to be selfish and only think of our own well being. Yes there is Law to respect but they are desperate looking to work for the most part. Why can’t we help them? I agree they shouldn’t come through this means but what other choices do they have!? This will never be solved.

We literally cause this migration with our sanctions against their democratically elected government. Our actions have real consequences. You see those those consequences at our border - hungry and desperate people seeking basic humanity.

This a Biden Admin blunder. When you advertise to the world that the US has free lunch, don’t be surprised when the border gets bum rushed. The Biden Admin and the Democrat part has basically allowed the likes of child, drug, human, and sex traffickers to blend in with folks desperate to flee their country. The traffickers use the people fleeing as cover, as mules. The regular people are preyed on and killed in some cases by these criminals. And all this is happening at a faster rate because we’re telling people to just come instead of doing immigration the orderly way. I pray for these people and I pray the men turn around and take that energy and that fight to the dictators that are ruining their country. (I also understand most dictators are and have been installed by the US).

Canada doesn’t have an economy anymore: it only relies on an outdated 1970s immigration system to keep boosting its population growth by around 1% a year! The immigrants are required to bring in roughly $10k per person which quickly evaporates within the ‘economy’ as most new comers struggle to,find decent jobs in the first 1-2 years of their arrival. So the ponzi scheme continues. Why do new arrivals put up with this? Well especially after Covid, vast majority of new arrivals are from countries where the economic situation is desperate. If you see new immigrants they are dominated (immigrants plus student visas) by one country - a large democratIC country on a large continent - most are effectively desperate economic refugees but the sleepy govt’s in Canada don’t care: let social devices get stretched, no cannot find a decent family doctor in any urban area, rents keep, sky rocketing, yet just let immigrants esp from one former ‘jewel in the crown’ come in unchecked!

What some people don't realize. Is that these people work a whole month of hard work just to afford one pair of work boots. These people are so desperately wanting to come here cause the money and what you can buy is different. It's luxury to them when they work so hard for nothing over there. They just want to live life comfortable and not in filth with nothing.

No one in the comments want to acknowledge why these people are trying to desperately leave their home countries…. decades of US intervention really biting America in the ass

It’s sad to think what their lives must be like in their native country to leave everything behind for a desperate attempt to get into another country. It’s also sad to think my life is way better simply because I happen to be born here and has nothing to do with being a good person.

USA people cause poverty in the Americas and around the world, creating war, instabilities, exploiting resources and cheap labor to fulfill YOUR needs. USA is the reason why these people are desperate. But guess what: the last chapter of the British Empire and its colonialism is already coming to an end.

I hope everyone is safe, this is really stupid but I understand the desperation these people must be in to be willing to risk their lives and some with small children with them. It’s heartbreaking and I’m sorry this happening. I’m American but I’m a human being first before anything and this sad to see

A lot of desperate people trying to leave their own country. The corruption needs to be stopped to stem this tide. Build a refuge camp to assist the desperate people to find alternative housing, employment in the US or another country.

Maybe we should have taken out Maduro. He's evil, he's not a democrat, he's not even a socialist. A socialist would not be involved in robbery of the state oil company! He's a disgusting mafioso crook just like the villains in charge of Cuba. Did you know that Cuban officials run an expensive airline service to Nicaragua that is the only path out of the country on the highway to the US. The officials know that desperate Cubans will sell their only home which very likely was bought by relatives abroad scraping together money to send to their family. I am usually very much against war... but gosh darn if we could just take out true tyrants without invading the whole place, it might in some rare circumstances be a gift rather than a grift.

I’m Hispanic and it breaks my heart. I’m not here to insult no one because I do not know no ones situation. I just see people who are desperate but I also believe we should no longer take any more immigrants until we resolve our own problems.
