As a Canadian I can say I have no issue with immigrants or anyone trying to seek a better life as I am the son of immigrants. My issue is with our government taking in way more than our economy and infrastructure can handle at a time where it's already under strain. \n\nAdd to the fact they're almost all from the same race, it makes certain areas lose all diversity and a ripe ground for racist sentiments. It's not uncommon where I can be in a grocery store or restaurant and every single customer and cashier is an Indian. At the very least let's diversify where we are taking them all in from. \n\nThe cynical side of me makes me think they are desired by corporations because these people are seen as an easy resource to exploit since they're willing to put up with more and receive less.

Back then my parents needed to prove and bring certain assets as part of the requirements. \n\nNow it seems they don’t really care, just come in with nothing, and the first thing to figure out is how to get the gov to pay out to sustain.\n\nHow this change came about… got no idea. \n\nAnd when looking at it culturally, that has changed as well. Being Chinese, we brought along our traditions. Those were celebrated and introduced to other Canadians, and it was a joyous thing. That being said, Canadian culture should come first and foremost. That should be understood. You are living underneath someone else’s roof, you should learn their culture and accept it. If not, why are you there.\n\nNowadays, it feels like it is a right to alter, and place your original culture above that of Canada’s. That’s just weird. Why did you move there in the first place if you can’t accept and get along with everyone else there.\n\nI decided to move back to Hong Kong because I didn’t like it, and for people that feel the same, get out of there. People that want to stay in Canada should be contributing, and live like a Canadian.\n\nProud to be Canadian, but it feels different now. Only hear crimes and homelessness, drugs… gun violence. How things have changed in these past 25 years or so.\n\nI do hope the gov wakes up. But yeah, not betting on it. Wish my fellow Canadians the best of luck. It’s a pity that groups fighting for this issue is being called racist. Utterly ridiculous… the power of the western media. ?

Xenophobia is not the issue. Stop calling normal, average people xenophobic, racist, blah, blah blah... It is about treating native Canadians with basic respect as citizens.

Wanting to vet people coming into your country is not racist or even anti immigrant. We all want to be safe but allowing anyone in is not the way to do it.

The government of Canada is the ultimate racist, tricking people from poor countries into believing that they'll get things that they simply won't if they get into Canada by any means necessary. And then they are stuck here as the new indentured servants.

It's a false statement saying there's not enough housing, considering the fact that there is more unoccupied housing in Toronto then unhoused people living in the street. Why? My family has been in Canada since before Canada was Canada and I don't care what others say about me because no matter what we say, we are called racists and that's why so many of us have been afraid to say anything for years and yet look what our silence has gotten us - a country where people can't afford to live and where teens can't get jobs because East Indians have taken all of the jobs. How do you call it scapegoating immigration for the housing shortage? Is it the biggest issue? Yes. You can't increase the population by 8 million people in a decade and not expect it to stretch not only housing but Healthcare as well. It doesn't make you a racist to be upset about that. Sure the infrastructure needed to be increased but that has to be paid for in advance of immigrants coming and with so many people on the poverty line who should pay for that? You make it seem like it's our duty to take in and provide all the services necessary, it's not. If the immigration wasn't so out of control the systems would be able to keep pace and people wouldn't be so upset. So stop gaslighting everyone that is upset with the massive increase in immigration and all the issues it has caused!

It's not about being anti-immigrant. We are immigrant Nation we built on immigrants it's too many at once you can't absorb it. We called a bunch of racist because we disagree with the amount of people coming in at once.

As an Indian, I can attest to Indians pulling this behaviour(making them live in literal boxes) towards students and younger people. Older Indian men and women try their best to control the lives of not just their own kin but anyone else who could be dependent on them.\nWe are also racist to the people of our own country.

I’m an Indian international student currently in a master’s program in Canada and I think this video perfectly speaks to a lot of problems in the country. I chose Canada due to its high quality of education. I personally also think the country messed up with their mass immigration with no quality check of individuals coming from India. If a person is allowed to be in a foreign country they must assimilate into its culture and values or at the bare minimum not force your own beliefs on the people there. I find a lot of entitlement certain immigrant population feel quite ridiculous , it’s not racist to want people who come into your country to be respectful of it’s values. I would just like to say that not every Indian immigrant is the same though there are people who just wanted a different life and embrace the culture of the country that they had an opportunity to be a part of.

Why are people leaving? BEcause in the last 7 years we made a huge mistake of letting in too many people and spent less time developing ourselves and infrastructure. Way too many came and got seated in the usual big cities where things are getting worse. Right now there is a gradually increasing anti-immigrant sentiment, especially towards East Indians, Bangladeshiis and Pakistanis, and there is a worry about having existing culture turning too Islamic and Hindu. So you can often hear some pretty racist things or read some pretty racist stuff online.\n\nThe problem isn't immigration. Immigrants are amazing and we need them, but our country didn't play the long game and let in too many too fast. Right now esp[ecially for Bangladeshiis and Indians, is that ,many are coming illegally and getting a REFUGEE status, paying their own to do this who work in lawyerships [and you shoudl see the scamming being done by Indian and Bangladeshi Canadians who are just taking their former countrymen for everything they are worth!]: Canada is like a person taking on too much all at once and then resenting its choices once it becomes responsible for them. Between bad decisions and some very seedy practices by immigrants coupled with the general greed to own land....and you have a modern crisis.

Thanks for this outside view. I live about 150km from Toronto. We cant bring up any of this in normal conversation without being immediately labelled racist. Those same people will argue day and night that immigrants have not caused our housing crisis citing every other fault in the system. Ive seen about a 4x increase in homelessness in the last 2.5 years.

yup wonderful no one can speak english here now, never was overly racist towards anyone but over the years its getting more difficult when you as a born citizen cant find a job nor understand a word people say

I agree with most of the information in this video. I lived in Canada from 2015-2021. When i used to attend college, parking lot always smelled like weed. People were always lined up at the “recreation drugstore” even in excruciating cold. Also, the job market is bad, most of the employers are racist. Permanent residency is very hard to get. Free health care is actually not free. It is deducted from your every single pay checks. If you had any emergencies, be ready to wait for more than 10+ hours; sometimes more than that. I remember when back in 2015, prime minister justin, got more than 5 thousand Syrian refugees, and people were complaining that they are currently facing job shortages, housing issues and many other things but their needs were completely ignored. I recently visited Canada, and it’s getting worse now, lots of traffic, crime and homeless people. I would still recommend if you want to go and get educated because the education system is good. But if your goal is only for settlement then i would suggest to apply for permanent residence first.

I been in Canada since age 11 and now 48. It is great to be part of both sides as I m an Indian born but got best of both countries and values. I work for a very large company and I feel I treated fairly and with utmost respect. Fact is Canada was hard for me when I started school from grade 6 to grade 10. I then changed schools and I was not bullied and face racist people. I went to diverse school. So diversity is good. Now my kids grew up here and feels at home but now there so many Indians here and clearly people here are annoyed and racism is become quiet high. I was verbally abused by strangers with racist slurs in the last few months. When I go shopping I been getting picked on by strangers at least 5 to 6 years the last 5 years or so. But now people don’t care and they act more and more racist. Indians sending there kids here should be aware of this. Also kids from India come here and try to do parties and drugs also. This becoming common. There is also many idiots from Punjab also. Many have criminal and drug and alcohol problems and they bring it here. It’s getting quiet messy. The government issues visa without checking peoples background. It’s madness. Stay safe. Canada is good country but the risks are also there now.

From where I'm from, there's literally no one who wants any more immigrants! I've never seen so many people become openly racist overnight. Mind you, it's not their fault it's the government's fault! They keep letting them in and now they're not welcome any more!

Canada for Canadians, it's not racist to save your country from Indian invasion, they are totally different people by race culture and mentality.

They all immigrate to PEI because it is the quickest way to seek citizenship in the country, as soon as they gain it they move to Ontario. I have met many wonderful people from India through work and because of our government choosing to allow so many people over here without providing proper housing for not only the new immigrants, but also for our own native born citizens, there is nothing available at any decent price for young people like myself who want to move out from their parents homes. It's also causing a lot of people to be racist towards Indians when the fault truly lies in our government. And because we are allowing so many people over here without proper background checks and things such as that we are also allowing people over here that could pose a threat to women or others. I had a cab driver last week (who was from India) who tried to hit on me and told me he left India because he was getting into too many physical fights over in India and also told me he had gotten into physical fights with some of his customers as well. It was scary for me as a woman to be in a car with that man who was taking me to my home. The government needs to do better for us. We feel alone and ignored when it comes to this. The greed pushing this stupid, and not properly thought out, immigration policy needs to be put to an end so that the people who have lived here their whole lives can get a chance at life.

I am a Canadian and I have seen the sharp decline of Canada over the past decade which makes me very sad. According to many 'experts' they paint a dire picture of the nations future as the rate of inflation spirals out of control and we are buried beneath a mountain of debt. On the ground level, homelessness is an epidemic that the powers that should not be seem to want to sweep under the rug, while they race bait and spout off about woke ideology. They are more worried about transgender rights and castrating children while with anyone with eyes to see are witnessing the very breakdown of their society around them, people are dying in the streets from fentanyl overdose. My wife volunteered at our old church which catored to the homeless and I have known many that are no longer with us, nobody wants to acknowledge it because they do not want to face the fact that they are fellow human beings. In the end no one is better than any one else, it is all vanity.?\nIt would seem like we are run by lunatics with severe cognitive dissonance by the fact that we have mass immigration while are own \npopulation is suffering, I admit that mental health and addictions are potent variables that constitute the crisis, I am not niave to those facts. I myself have had long term Sobriety. But it is odd that only a decade ago, homelessness /addiction were problems confined to major cities like Vancouver and Toronto, and now we have tent cities in almost every town with a population of more than 20 thousand people. It would seem like utter stupidity to keep pouring water into a bucket that is overflowing. I suspect that their is an agenda and the destruction of our nation is a part of it, it is a well known fact that the Trudeau government is in bed with Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum. People miss these because theyre so fast to jump that youre a racist if you say anything about it. \n\nTheyre not assimilating, like how we did. Theyre nice people but theyre not respecting the cultures around them. Everywhere I turn, it’s them speaking loudly over phonecalls. Some of them dont even speak a lick of english. You cant blame people for thinking that theyre trying to create a second India within Canada. \n\nTheres NO BALANCE. Im not saying hating them is justified because it’s not. It’s the fact most of them have this mentality, which overwhelms everyone around them. It’s so bad, the other Indians that are doing theyre best to assimilate also gets attacked.

As a Native in a big city stuff is bad, they are not assimilating, actually they are forcing US TO ASSIMILATE TO THEM. They are flexing just how much power they have by discriminating and only hiring or renting their own race, they have inflitrated every level of government and have absoloutely 0 loyalty to our country. As a Native I have never been racist toward before UNTIL these people started showing up, they don’t say thank you, they don’t hold the door open, they just don’t like or respect us.

Of course it's time we talked about this. It was time a few years ago at least. Can you imagine 2100 when we supposedly have have 60 millions more people, with the vast majority being low value people from India? It'll be an even worst version of India with real Canadians being a small minority somewhere in there. I bet it'll still be okay to be racist against white people then just like it already is today.

Not a racist, but channeling my inner racist and transphobe and its getting to the point where I as a minority feel bad for the original English people. Where they are actually a minority now and the French have it right by attempting to preserve their language and culture with laws over there. But English Canada has no such protection. Instead we have to combat raising costs of living and house prices because we cannot compete with usual 4 family member households with 16 family member households. I am starting to hate them. Them and their useless protests, disruption when we don't care about their stupid religious bouts.
