A compelling documentary, thank you. Why is it that black people continue to be so demonised and de-humanised? It is such a shame that follow Asians and even American Natives play such a role in perpetuating racism against African descent people, but I guess they have their issues of identity. Real shame nonetheless, but one thing at the time, we still have a bigger hurdle to overcome.\n \nOf course, it is still not easy to be a black woman, man or child today. Sadly our mothers are still crying for their children being killed or overly punished by the police institution, our kids are still targeted if not simply despised for being beautiful, bright, talented, lively and brilliant beings with deeper skin tonalities, and hair that speaks for us otherwise. It is still dangerous because there is so much hatred across the world against us as we are coming to understand. And hatred is unpredictable. It comes in different ugly shapes. \n\nAfrican descent people are institutionally exposed to a lack of opportunities based on race, leading to the disproportionate poverty levels in our communities, and poverty brings your far closer to crime. That should not be so difficult to calculate. We're faced with higher mortality and disease rates, covid 19 has rubbed that to our eyes, care systems medical world is in less favour and neglect black communities. On a day-to-day, I am so insulted about the security guard that follows me in the shop, it is so disrespectful and embarrassing, that makes me move suspiciously indeed, yet so low and ignorant I don't even want to have to confront the issue. \n\nI agree with the writer who writes about his experience (and shame?) of being a black man in Canada- the same is institutionally reflected in Europe and across the world let's not be naive, we're not welcome but they should know they have no choice. I believe what he really is trying to express is based on the fear of being a black man in a hostile environment, but we should certainly have nothing to be ashamed of. \n\nOn contrary, we should be very proud because we are still here, like any other citizens paying our taxes and playing positive roles in society by major. We have positive role models are everywhere, from the single mother raising her children with force and determination to the black father who teaches at a local school, from the black girl who's achieved top grades to university to the black young man who's been headhunted from the medical school. And all of us who are just trying. \n\nLook closely. While the media will continue to do its good job demonising and stereotyping us negatively, let's not forget that we are real people with real accomplishments who have always made impactful contributions to society. \n\nHere's the thing, we are admired, loved and celebrated because of the brilliance, talent, charisma, swag and wealth we bring to contemporary culture. Everyone consumes black culture, from the filler lip service to the quick fix tan, from rock and roll to hip hop and RnB music, to sports athletes to the amazing creators out there, no need to mention names. But, we also are doctors, politicians, judges nurses, waiters, carers, scientists, builders, bankers, entrepreneurs, employees or unemployed. \n\nSadly on a day-to-day, we are not viewed as equal people, with equal rights and needs, who, by large, just want the good for our children, our families, neighbours and indeed countries. STOP INSTITUTIONAL RACISM. We are real mothers, real fathers, real children who have a birthright to equal treatment, respect and human dignity, whether or not you choose to disagree.

From overwhelming amounts of bad experience: Generational abuse, damages, corruption, delusion, speaking and acting with certainty, even indisputable while other possibilities exist - creating more and more conflict and damages and time being wasted, is life in Canada. The Canadians who have taken power and control over and upon others and childrens lives, have sabotaged so many lives, have corrupted reasonableness, logic, and needed care. Many Canadian children have been and are still being tortured, trafficked, profited on, and poisoned. Victims are now disabled, expected to heal themselves often while still feeling tortured, and are largely left to continue to suffer while the majority basically looks the other way, works to party, play, go on vacations and such, and basically refuses to understand what went wrong, where it went wrong, and where it's going wrong, in childhood. This's why I think most don't get it and why Canada doesn't have smart people, and why people ask why from others instead of figuring it out or should already know the answer if so-called adults were competent and actually helpful. The ugly truth is that Canadians don't know how to raise children all that well - day after day, year after year, generation after generation. Emotional and physical damages are often permanent; one a child or a person is poison and traumatise, there's no coming back. Canada at large is still one of the worst human violators on this planet and there is really no end in sight for child abuse because it's not Canada's top priority.

Structural racism in Canada continues because of loopholes in the system that allow discrimination against minorities to continue. I will tell you why. Most decisions are made by the individuals workers who are not going by the laws of the Companies and Government Institutions and they use their power to discrimate against you based on their own biases . That is what I have experienced. I hurt my back picking up five residents in a day at work and let me tell you the process has not been easy. Everthing I say to them or paper that I gave to them from my Doctor is not good. Even if they have facts before them you are not to beleive. More strong laws need to be put in place to protect minorities.

I got racially discriminated on my 3rd day in Canada. And still continue to experience it from time to time.I never thought it would happen to me. ?I think i get used to it that i just ignore them.

The funny thing is that the most contagious COVID-19 strain is from Europe. So it's the Europeans who are responsible for spreading the most in Eastern Canada and US. It was also the Germans and the Italians who continues to do business and have close ties with the Chinese communists party despite all the human rights issues. They are responsible for bringing COVID-19 to Europe as early as late 2019.

Racism is everywhere, but we continue to only talk about Canada or US, why aren't we talking about the Chinese labour camps?

I’m brown and I completely agree that racism is bad in Canada. I have heard n-words towards black people with the hard r, racism towards me, east asians, etc. High school was hell for me and the blatant racism continues with various friends and family. It was always overlooked and Ive been followed and pulled over by RCMP for no reason. RACISM EXISTS IN CANADA AND I LIVED WITH IT MY WHOLE LIFE AND IM ONLY IN MY EARLY 20S\nStats back it up as well. And with each one they will continue to further be a burden on Canada and our taxes will need to go up to pay for their welfare. Soon our CPP wont be there because of the new Canadians who come here illegally. Our government should be taking steps to close that border crossing point.

This is incredible too! From what I've been researching about life in Canada, my favorite Provinces are Alberta and Nova Scotia... And of course, Claresholm AB is on the RNIP Program, and Nova Scotia is on the AIPP... As soon as I complete building my USA Federal Case against our former owner, my son and I can totally pave our Road North with handmade jewelry and graphic apparel! Canada is for those who have are values and beliefs. If you don't have them, you are not welcome. The country we once loved is now at risk and is becoming a country that struggles with Canadian values. Christianity, equal rights, freedom of speech and our laws. I was completely surprised to hear that this happens, continues to happen, especially in Canada. America is a country built on the backs of slaves and racism is rampant. This behavior is disgusting and to see a middle-age Black woman is not even safe is overwhelming. As I reach middle-age I continue to feel the same fears I did as a young woman. I live in America so I face racism and discrimination daily. I thought Canada was different, but I am glad to see Canada is attempting to fix the problem. America take notes.

It seems very strange behaviour by Canada when you only have to look at the places where these people come from to gauge the future for a western society with them in it. Their beliefs and their ideology demands so many transgressions of our laws that you have to make a decision whether you modify them or us or you just kinda sweep their continual law breaking under the carpet in order to placate them and the lefties who demand we embrace their idea of a social utopia which isn’t complete without an intolerant 7th century primitive culture in it.\nAll of which amounts to ignoring our own constitution and laws, which is just not acceptable because it violates the prime doctrine of the separation of powers in favour of an imported ideology that proclaims it is above the law just because it says so. And has assumed this capacity without due electoral process in accordance with existing laws and the constitution, which btw is illegal.\n\nGermany found an answer through an unelected body, the court, which is acceptable to them, they modified their own law to suit Islamic Sharia law ignoring their own constitution in the process. Germany has already modified their freedom of speech and the right to protest if it conflicts with Sharia in some fashion so Germany is on a downward spiral into totalitarianism against the majority and its own constitution. \nWhat will follow is anarchy if nobody in authority is going to adhere to the constitution and the law.

You know, we in the US used to resent Canada because they seemed kinder and more generous. We were jealous of that. Americans seemed harsher and greedy. Now I feel very sorry for Canadians. Why people think China will rule the world when it's citizens want a better life in places like Canada and America. There freedom is imaginary in China. Most of the people there are living in poor and poverty lifestyle. They see the 300 million who are making it, while the other 1 billion are not. No freedom of religion, freedom of openness, freedom to be able to do what you want. The only thing people have to watch out from China is, if it explodes then the world will have to feed those 1 billion who are now presently on the last leg and if strive continues massive starvation that will be worst than what happen in North Korea. Something must be done with Canadian immigration, this show has proven the flaws, what about the land border where hundreds are just walking and claiming residency. If that continues Canada won’t be that safe place where people pay taxes and are proud of being called “ Canadians”.

When You take a decision and not sure about it internally, suffering from continuous inner conflict, you tend to justify it with absurd reasoning. Absurd reasoning such as you earn maximum 10,000 rupees or 5000 Rupees salary in India. The problem is the kind of effort and hard work they put in Canada , had they put the same In India they would have been in a much better financial condition. there is racism and prejudice everywhere. on every level no matter gender, race, religion, culture. etc. no matter where you go. but if these guys take a trip to any of those corrupted third world backwards countries they would see how good they really have it. us foolish americans canadians dont know how good we have it. we are living in the freest country nation and society ever seen in the history of the world. at least our country creates new laws every year to make our people feel safe. but other islamic countries continue following laws made in the 15th century. do you see and appreciate the difference.\n\nsure people will label you based off your skin tone and your demeanor. He's illegally in the US and never learns to speak English then goes to Canada and doesn't speak English or French? He hasn't put forth much effort to assimilate. Try coming through Ellis Island in the late 1800s and early 1900s and not knowing English. You're an evil racist if you say these things but it's the truth. If you want to move out of your country you learn the Language and assimilate. The problem with the immigrants from Central America is they want to live in our country but continue to live life as they did there. Assimilate or leave.

The issue is that the intending migrants and the general public are ignorant as to asylum law. The public think of asylum as some far reaching, grandiose humanitarian gesture- when the truth is that asylum laws provide an EXTREMELY LIMITED basis of relief. \n\nMerely coming from a dangerous country is NOT enough to win asylum, in the U.S. or Canada. A person must prove they are specifically persecuted, by the GOVERNMENT, because of some specific basis. A Central American claiming Central America is full of gangs and poverty, while true, is NOT a basis for asylum. This is why it's my personal belief that the thousands of Haitians making a run for the Canadian border have an almost zero chance of receiving asylum- ESPECIALLY after NOT living in Haiti for many years. \n\nIn spite of this, migrants still make these claims because it forces the country to go through a time consuming legal process, and is a way to buy time and prevent their deportation. Or perhaps allow them time to find a local job, continue their education, or have a child born in the country and then make a humanitarian argument to allow them to stay, even after losing their asylum case. \n\nThe truth is, unless a country holds asylum seekers in detention for the entirety of the process, it's a given that failed asylum seekers will NOT return to their country of origin, and will simply go underground.

I am sure the Canadian govt. knows what is BEST for Canada or they would of NOT let them in , in the first place.  Maybe the Canadians love muslims.  I mean why would you let people in you don't like,  it don't make sense.  I think the Canadians love muslims.  I think Europe loves muslims. IF you don't like them, why do they all come pouring into your country. I think they all love muslims. Why would the queen and gov let these people into the country if the people didn't like muslims.  I don't think the queen or govts would do this without the peoples conscent.  I am sure the queen and gov will continue to do what is BEST for the peoples.  The queen is to be trusted. Awww....are Canadian Muslims 'feeling fear' because people are finally waking up to the realization that this is not a 'religion of peace'?   Well, if you're feeling that uncomfortable here in Canada, may I suggest your remove yourselves to a country where you can continue to practice your Neanderthal ways?  I hear there's lots of room in Syria these days.

As a young child I remember viewing the Amish women as being in a chronic 'state of funeral' based solely on their signature dark garb. It created in my own (childlike) logistics that this was a type of society which I needed to keep at a distance from myself. I disliked their choices, finding them muted in a world layered thick in rich and vibrant fields of color. The color black in ancient cultures (apparel) indicates the refusal to acknowledge or be unresponsive, to be closed off. I can understand how many real (natural) Canadiens can view Muslim women in their communities in a strange light. An interview with a very rich Saudi woman (living in Saudi Arabia), in how she spoke of her own frustration by not being allowed to own a drivers license, instead being driven in her husbands pricey Mercedes by a hired driver. She forced this issue on her local, home town government when she attempted to embarrass the officials of this primitive law, which in her view, had outlived its purpose and no longer applied to modern women in her culture. This interview went viral being shown on multi media networks and the town became embarrassed by the exposure. We should all applaud these women for their natural right to be free from outdated ritual and constraints continue to impose these indignities upon women. Muslim women living in Canada who wear the typical dark cloth across the features of the face and over the body are putting forth a message that they are 'second class citizens', are 'less than equal', are 'one mans property' - not unlike a common barn yard animal but possibly owning less importance than an animal since an animal can be traded for goods or services for profit. One can understand how real (natural) Canadien women can view this type of apparel as a slap in the face of their gender, a violent slap to go to the 'back of the line', 'take it lying down and like it'. So much is fear based and these Muslim women should shed their fear as layers of dark folds are sent falling to the floor - once and for all...

I live in Ontario and just saw a 5 yr. old girl totally covered. Why come here only to continue with those traditions? I thought these immigrants wanted a different life.\nOhhh Canada. Would they stand on guard for thee?

My experience in Canada has been largely positive, with only minimal racial difficulties.  As a teenager, I do recall some kids making blatantly racist comments, when I was the only minority in the room; but they were silly girls, popular and full of themselves, and most of the students who heard did not laugh with them. We all knew it was wrong.  Another time I was told, by an agent, that a potential employer claimed she would not hire me because of my race.  I did not hear these words firsthand, though, so it was impossible for me to verify the truth. In the end, I let the matter alone. Other people,  I realize, have endured severe injustices; such have not been my experience, but this does not subtract from their reality.  Indeed, racism does exist, and shall remain as long as there are imbeciles wallowing in the mire of ignorance, people who cling to an absurd sense of superiority for lack of something more meaningful to hold.  As well--and it must be said!--quite likely, we all have, at some point, entertained discriminatory thoughts. 'Tis not a 'black and white' problem but a human one, and we must be mindful of it beginning with ourselves.  Canada, then, with its many inhabitants and complex history, will never be the exception. We can't expect perfection among people, here or anywhere else in the world.  Even so,  I believe there are enough fellow Canadians who strive to treat people as individuals and are happy to make friends across cultures.  My life has been and continues to be a testament to that!  Whatever our troubles, we still retain a proud heritage of diversity and progressive ethnic harmony.  We do try, and for this reason I love my country.  I am deeply patriotic and immensely proud to be part of it!
