Yes I was, after Trump got elected no. Disabled human rights are horrible here and as compensation for lawsuits can be capped in cases that is unlikely to change. I should state the government had to pay me $25,000 dollars for violating my rights (this cost me $35,000+ in legal fees!) so I know of what I speak. It was the same when I moved provinces. In terms of mobility my fate was better in the 4 third world countries I visited after my stroke, there are no busses in loads of places here as we can’t “afford” them. Also I should state the government tried to make me site an NDA that would not allow me to state their behaviour, this should be illegal where government money is concerned! On to health care…. Why do disabled people struggle to get a family doctor when they move provinces? Also why did the mother of a Ukrainian disabled kid have to go back to a country that had been invaded to get help for her child that was having convulsions? She got no help here and her child was in our system by then and her husband has been paying taxes since I got him a job here 3 day a after landing. Yes there are a lot of good Canadians but this situation has become much worse and Canadians are masters at ignoring things. There is a Ukrainian flag flying from my cabin not a Canadian one. We are NOT the 51st state and will never be but I’ve been made to feel betrayed

It's straight up frustration with our puppet prime minister. He's doing what the WEF & Dr scratchnsniff tells him to. Flooding a country with immigrants has increased homelessness & made getting a job impossible. Even more impossible is getting ahead financially. Indian people are coming over in droves, led by the lie that everything is better in Canada, and they're not adopting the Canadian culture & integrating unhealthy aspects of their third world culture. Grass always seems greener on the other side but when you live in foreign countries for Indians you always have pros and cons to face. I live in USA and I love it here but when I visit India people always think that WE have it better but if I had money I would love to retire in India.

The cost of living affordability depends on the income of the migrants. Low income working class will feel the cost of living and housing pressure. But this applies to all countries, including SF of US, Toronto of Canada, Sydney of Australia, London of UK\n4. Rise in crime: I do not understand this logic as the migrants left Canada to US - the city of LA, New York, Seattle and Chicago are far worse than in Canada \n5. Limited Career opportunities: the only country that has better career opportunities is US. What are the main reasons for those who are not migrating to US?\n\nIn summary, all the above points are not the main reasons. The main reason is the liberal government. Canada had taken a large number of wrong low end migrants in wrong time. When the economic downturn turn comes these are the most vulnerable group of people that should leave Canada.\n\nMany Canadian found that they resolved some of the problems by relocating from city to city ie moved from Vancouver to Calgary. First, admit the fact that Canada owes foreign nationals no guarantees for a better life. Second, an attitude of humility had helped. Thirdly, if you are that bright, stay in India and contribute to your own country.

We emigrated from Europe as a family to Canada 12 years ago. I felt cheated. Nothing in Canada was better than the country we came from, in fact it was much worse. It completely disrupted our lives. I got a very strong and uncontrollable feeling that Canada would turn out very badly for our family. After a year we went back to our own country and since then we have been doing very well again. It was a great adventure in which our dreams were shattered. I could write a book about it.

Relax they are most likely in different provinces ? it's so easy to do in Canada. They just travel to the other side of the country. There is bus systems in Canada that offer cheep rides to other cities and provinces. The immigrants travel through provinces and then sit in other provinces. Now the issues of them going to states. Yep. They cross in the west coast so much easier then in Ontario so they will work to leave Ontario and Quebec to go to Provinces that have better boarder entering to states.

In Chinese, there has a word called “Wei Qiang”, that means there has a wall for all people, and everyone feels others live better than me, such as most of Chinese are willing to immigrate to developed countries, especially who is rich and not in “ti zhi nei”?.

I came to Saskatchewan Canada as an international student in fall 2023. I did a care assistant program and was attracted to coming to Canada because I kept hearing that there is a labour shortage in healthcare in Canada. However I feel like everything just started going to sh*t in 2024 when I was finishing up my program ?.\n\n One of the things I'd like to highlight about the small towns is that they can be very biased in their hiring practices. Some of us as (black) students had a hard time getting jobs in healthcare in the town because jobs were given based on family and friend linkages (so mostly white or Filipino people got hired). Also there was a severe housing shortage. So even though locals (from my perception) wanted us to stay and work in healthcare (because they are short staffed), realistically there was no where to stay. Canada can't say it wants people in more rural areas and not improve housing in those areas as well. I have honestly been rather disappointed with Canada because I expected better planning from a developed country.

Similar story, grew up in Vancouver as a kid. Can't say that I got much from Canada other than a pile of student debt. With a top engineering degree from a Canadian university, no jobs, no interviews. If it set me up for a better future, I could give it some credit, but even with visas, I had *much* better luck with opportunities in the US and even in western Europe, which is similarly socialist to Canada. I have had to move from country to country thanks to the lack of decent opportunity in Canada. More liability than asset, in my experience, other than the passport. Glad I left when I did, only regret I didn't do it sooner. Good luck to wherever you go next. I hear eastern Europe is a cool place, if you bring your income with you ;-)

If you are making 150k a year doing 8hr a day work that doesn’t kill you and want to enjoy middle class uncomplicated life I am not sure there is a better country then Canada. \nI made only 35 k once in over 43 years of working and it was my choice and because of obscene cost of living on the west coast of Canada I left 3 years ago .\nI am 100% happier even if I have to live in countries that are politically unstable

Canada's economy is about to collapse and fall into a recession. I'm an immigrant looking to get my PR, I have qualifications from one of the top universities in the world, experience as an international consultant and most important I do respect the Canadian culture and follow the rules. However, even for me it is uncertain what is going to happen? and/or if the government will make more changes and kick us out hahaha. I do believe that immigration has poured a lot of money into Canadian's pockets and most of them are not considering that, some of that money is going to go to another country who is willing to manage immigration with a better approach and provide a more certain perspective to new immigrants. The government allowed many bad actors (locals and foreigners) to take advantage of the system and those who are going to pay the bill are new immigrants due to political elections, and that is just sad. We will see who are they going to blame for mismanagement of public resources and the possible crash of several industries, that are currently relaying on foreign money, once there are no new immigrants to blame. I agree with most of the new rules regarding immigration, but I strongly disagree with the political approach of how the government is blaming immigrants for their lack of proper management.
