We're polite and nice until we're taken advantage of or treated like an idiot! Kindness is important, but doing what's morally right is more important to me personally! So if that means me speaking up or calling out bs when I see it, I will! I do believe in giving each person their own clean slate. I adjust according to the person! Our government certainly doesn't represent us personally. We all have our own personalities and lives! And I don't judge others based on their race religion or their government at home! When I was a kid there was no shortage of people letting me know I'd never amount to anything. So yeah you can find aholes anywhere you go! Please don't leave yourself vulnerable and assume everyone here has good intentions! Especially if you travel alone! We still have a lot of issues you probably never heard of! How is this not considered a hostile invasion and why isn't the border protected like other counties where trying to sneak in is considered a threat to security of its citizens. I experience this kind of behavior all the time growing up in Quebec. I had to leave Quebec just to get a job in my software career. I dont like quebecois and never will. They are racist to the core.

I really enjoyed living here in Australia.im a registered nurse here in Australia and honestly im earning more money than my friends who are nurses as well in Canada. I managed to buy land and build brand new beautiful house in a sub urb in Victoria in just 500K AUD. many people are leaving Canada now. here are keys where Australia outperforms Canada; salary, benefits, weather, health care, military and we have superannuation here in Australia where the Goverment does save money for you. ticket prices from Aus to Philippines are significantly way more cheaper than Canada. I can go home to Philippines in just 300 AUD and it's a back and forth air trip. I got my PR here in Australia in just a year. I will never never ever leave Australia for Canada...

I’ve leaves for 4 years in Cote Saint-Luc Montreal and never ever locked my door. One day my landlord sent someone to fix my bathroom door and the guy locked the door after he was done. When I got back from school past midnight, I couldn’t get into my appartement because I didn’t even have the key anymore ?. \nHad to sleep at my best friend’s place that night.

I am originally from Buffalo, NY and we are literally 5 to 10 minutes away from Ontario CA, 1 hour away from Toronto, CA. It is better to me than American. The streets are clean, it is not segregated and food portions are smaller. The only thing I never understood is when Canadians came to Buffalo how they totally switched gears and started acting router then how they normally at the Canada. They also love to litter up in Buffalo, NY as well but they wouldn't be doing that in Canada. I used to work at the cheesecake factory here in Buffalo New York. And I guess there's not a cheesecake factory Canada. But we used to always get slammed because of how close we were to Canada and how Canadians love cheesecake factory. But they will trash the bathrooms , leave their clothes in the bathrooms. Was very rude to staff. It was crazy. But other than that if I had the money I would move to Canada. I heard a rumor, that taxes are higher up there because your health care system is universal and the colleges are free in Canada. Is that true?

As an American living in the middle east for several years now. I’ve been robbed and held at gun-point 2 times in New York, had a break-in at an airbnb I rented while visiting family in Florida and got my passport stolen. In the 8 years I’ve been living in Oman, I’ve never seen or even heard of a break-in, most people don’t lock their cars in the neighborhood, people leave the cars running while grabbing something from the store. There is a sense of community here where I know most families around my neighborhood and I’ve been surprised where I get greeted by their kids that I’ve never met at the mall or store. I can’t even give u 3 names of my neighbors in my hometown where I lived for 22 years.

I've considered leaving the U.S. more this year than ever, even though I really do love it. With the inflation, politics, and lack of work life balance for anyone I don't think the place I grew up in will last. Full time and part time employees are entitled to 4 weeks vacation here in Australia, I don’t know anyone who only gets 4 tho, most get 5 to 6. Also, theres Medicare for all permanent residents and citizens; 18 weeks maternity leave— 3 months paid. There are 12 public holidays and just Far Less Crime. When people ask me if I miss “home”… I share that I miss good and easy access to stuff… but friends can visit me here, and I’ll pay extra for the things I enjoy to be mailed. The only major thing is as a black girl getting my hair done… lordddd ?. \n\nI’ve lived in Cambodia, Thailand, Spain and Gibraltar traveling solo. The more I traveled safer I felt despite never feeling too unsafe in the states when I lived there, I did when I traveled across country at times. It took me some time to feel into this new level of “ahhhhh this is what safety feels like!! Mom, come feel this! U can go for a walk at 2am!”\n\nWould never move back, but I’m grateful my roots are from there.

I moved from the U.S. to Canada. Some observations:\n1. It's unbelievably safe in Canada. The most dangerous places in Canada are still very safe compared to much of the U.S.\n2. Outside of DC and New York and I guess Chicago and L.A. in the U.S. and Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, you need a car. I disagree that city planning is that much better in Canada.\n3. The maternity leave in Canada is great \n4. The unemployment insurance in Canada is great too\n5. I prefer the Canadian health care system. I never experienced any long wait times. My wife had literal brain surgery and it was free whereas it would've been hundreds of thousands of dollars in the U.S.\n6. Canada is further to the left and is much more woke than the U.S. Everything here is about equity, diversity and inclusion. Even many Canadian conservatives would be moderates in the U.S. but most people know this already.\n7. There is a better work life balance in Canada. I worked a lot more when living in the U.S.\n8. Most Canadians live by the U.S. border  so the weather is not that different than most northern American states. But once you go to northern Canada, it is as cold as they say it is.\n9. The U.S. is better for making money.\n10. It is much more racially segregated in the U.S. \n11. Outside cities like Montreal and Toronto, Canada is very white.\n12. Things are much more spread out in Canada. When I lived in the U.S. driving for 1 hour to go somewhere was a long drive. In Canada, that is normal.\n13. Canada is pretty great if you like the outdoors. There's only 36 million people here and outside the major cities, you find small towns and the wilderness. \n14. Canadians are quite friendly. I know my neighbors in the country. I never knew my neighbors in the U.S.\n15. Canadian politics is boring and I like this. However, in the rural areas, it seems that people really hate Justin Trudeau.\n16. Since Canada is so similar to the U.S. it is very easy to adjust to life here.\n17. Outside of Quebec, you really don't need to speak French. \n18. The nationalism of the Quebecois is very surprising. There is no group in the U.S. this nationalistic.

Living in the city of Vienna for me, in an already safe country-with everything else that’s an advantage-I have never seen myself moving to the US: kindergarten, School, University and Healthcare is part of the national budget. The poor are housed, high minimum wage, mandated and protected leave, 14 full checks a year, very little homelessness and crime, tap water is literal spring water extracted straight form the mountains, food is so pure and organic I never gain weight, I don’t know why I’d ever leave Austria.

I wanted to live abroad and still do. Ever since I saw Travels in Europe with Rick Steves Denmark episode, I've always wanted to go. I finally went in 2018. There used to be much more fun and things were much more relaxed in the 70's and 80's but now it has changed so much that I'm starting to hate my own Country, my province and the Canadian leadership at this time is the worst in history. And get this: I'm so poor I couldn't even afford to move around or travel in my own damned country! We don't even have a universal transit bus system to travel anymore. YOu have to have a car or fly but be damned if you can hop the old Greyhound and go from Vancouver to Toronto anymore and save a few bucks. It's sick and dysfunctional here.

I used to be in Europe eastern Europe (cyprus) studied there never finished due to depression brought lack of part time jobs for upkeep i had to leave before i finished my studies came back home and joined a local university, yes it can really be tough

Being born in Canada I was proud of our multiculturalism and believed Canada was the greatest but as an adult I don't understand why people would want to live here. I pay over 40% of my income to the government for all the things that make Canada great but it is just not that way. My taxes help pay for programs that I am not eligible for because before taxes I make too much money but after taxes my take home is the amount that qualifies for programs but that's not how the system works. I need the program because I help pay for it but can't use it because of having money that is not considered to be mine. According to the CRA the money I pay the government in taxes does not and has never belonged to me but that same government labels that tax money as mine in order to deny me the programs I help pay for. It is a good idea to leave Canada if you can. There is no future for the working class except servitude to the government.

Mississauga ON, I slipped and fractured my right hand. The pain was excruciating. Got to the closest hospital emergency room, and I had to leave without being seen by a Dr after 4 or 5 hours waiting, in the most horrible pain I ever felt. I asked but was not given any pain killer. It was not until I returned there that night, that they could see me. They did not do X ray exam, and what they put in my fractured hand cast was incorrect, and the pain continued. Next day after begging for an appointment, I went to a regular Dr office, and she corrected the cast the hospital put wrong. After so many hours I was in excruciating pain without reliable help, made me think and decide maybe that Canada was not what I was heard about it. I had already noticed how expensive living there was. Plus the racist nature of many Canadians, made me realize that I will never have their friendship. I live in the USA ever since the year 1989, and although I absolutely love Canada, I am not interested in living there again. PS> Weather was nasty cold, but the country is prepared to life around that type of weather, so that was not a problem for me. I look forward seeing more of your videos.

As an African, I have live in many country and saw the cost of leaving, I can tell you that life is harder in every country if you don't put the work. Nothing is easy. you have to wake up, smell the coffee and work your ass off. Be mindfull to thinks and invest your money or saving cause we never get younger. start planing your retirement when you get your first job cause life is unpredictable. You can get a better life while you ae younger in your carrier. With old age people don't get the same energy as when they were younger. I am always kinda of shocked when talking to people and finding out that they have never really lived outside of the place they grew up. It's really hard to have any appreciation or perspective on culture, cities, and people, if you have never really spent anytime in other places. Travel even within your own country can be illuminating even more so when you leave the red colour country on the map to a different colour country.\n The one thing that is nice about the country of Vancouver is you can always come back and it will probably be very similar to what you left. A lot of (new) Canadians can't say that.

Try to live in a THIRD WORLD COUNTRY and then try to complain! Just be thankful and grateful to God for the opportunities you're experiencing. Not everybody is given this chance. Why are Nigerians not interested in returning home? I really want to travel out but this aspect of not considering returning gives me concern. I have always said if I travel out, I'd like to come back. It's like once they leave, they never want to return.
