I am a black south african and live In Edmonton Alberta since 2010 I worked hard and built a life for my self and my family I have never gone through any racism in Edmonton Alberta Canada I have white black and native American friends if anyone should be complaining about racism in Canada it's the native American people let's not talk about how us as black people treat eachother that comes from different African countries we have no love for one another

She needs to get a life because it's not true at all. In fact, black people there are the ones more bigoted than some whites a chip on their shoulder. WS is a myth and many black people up here are doing just fine. As with any country, you have some issues, but for the most part, black people have more social acceptance in Canada than in the US. White people in Canada aren't with all that ghetto stuff they don't put up with it like they do in the states

well how bad could it be.most of my life I have been discriminated against by black people and I am black I'm not afraid to go to Canada I think it's easier for me to reason and get along easier with white people then black people because black people suffer from self-hate so they automatically hate you.

Another thing we forget here in Canada is that the elite whites from America are invested in Canafa its no different. Just worse cause there is less black people. When you say that Canada is more liberal than America, for who, though? They are not more liberal for blacks they are more liberal for the white race, period. Its a pity in this 21st century still experiencing racism? Why is it the most civilised people lives like uncivilised? Everywhere around the world where Europeans colonized and destroyed the native people is based on white supremacy. The laws created in all of these places benefit the white citizens. Thats Canada, the US, South Africa and others. Remember native Africans have not so long ago been able to go to the beaches without being harassed by white people. Here in Canada is this image of peaceful country who back in 19th century help African Americans to escape from slavery but do not mention that much that Canada also had more then 1000 African slaves by 18th century. Canada is consider as muticulture nation but still African Canadians do not have same equal justice as with white people.

And the Sad thing is that The Whites in Canada, Australia, The U.S, New Zealand, England etc are all living on someone else's land. They are parasites. They have never in a history of mankind settled on any barren or virgin land like we Africans and Native Americans have done. As a black person who grew up in Canada yes you experienced racism but I also have rules hang out with my own kind and I don't befriend white people whoever gives respect gets my respect and when I experienced racism I give them the same energy right back sometimes you got to be aggressive and demand your respect sucks but it's a reality keep your foot on their necks

All I can say to this sista is Thank you because folks she is speaking the truth. Canada the country as a whole has high levels of anti-blackness not just in Edmonton and not just by white folks. The worst thing is the others minorities or so called POC groups ally up with white against black people and it is a nationwide issue that we definitely need more people speaking up about their experiences. $57/h value per hour are mostly white Canadians not the immigrants and colored people. Immigrants are making huge mistakes by coming here in Canada and living their good jobs back home. If US today stop investing in Canadian market, the Canada would become like Eastern European countries or may be South American countries. In Canada same goes for jobs. If local government post a job for cleaner then they ask some post secondary education???. Not worth to live here very expensive country. Only people having a good time here are government employees and politicians.

Medicare sucks! Even as a privileged white person having just moved cities not province and after 3 years and 2 cancers I still don't have access to a family doctor. Forget about any tests or diagnoses because you are told you need to have a family doctor to have access. People die of curable diseases here more than in many other developed countries. Can you see how they control medical expenses we pay for in Canada?

It makes me happy to see all the comments of legal immigrants to the US who are angered by this. Personally I have no issues with legal immigration from any country and I respect it and I'll break bread with you cuz your an American now like me. I think legal immigrants are a breath of fresh air and we can have some support coming from the Hispanic community against illegal immigration. Sm people think if your hard on illegal immigration your racist against Hispanics but that's not it at all. We need more legal immigrants with this mindset to help diversify the republican party and help to stop democrats from labeling it as a racist party. Now adays so many people aren't republican solely because they aren't white and think the democratic party is more favorable to anyone of color. But the republican party favors Americans period regardless of race. Illegal immigration is bad even if America was in a totally different place and bordered a white nation we still wouldn't want em in here just as much. If Canada had a curropt authoritan government and they were all illegally immigrating here than it'd be them we'd be having these disputes with. This is not a racial thing, this is about breaking the law and hurting the US economy.

I will say I have been lucky in Calgary (moved to Alberta in 2011; became perm res in 2018) with my healthcare. I have a great liver specialist and family doctor as well as a backup. I just fell and cut the back of my head Monday (2 staples but nicely done; I do not feel any pain). I know that is not common for people. I think some of it is timing based on the comments. It will only get better if we quit USing it (i.e. politicizing it). As an ex-pat watching that dumpster fire, moving to Canada in 2010 (first year in YVR) was the right step for me (however, that said, being that I am plain white looking male, I know that made it so easy at least until I applied for Perm Res. Then, being a white american worked against me). Luckily, I had been involved with a Canadian citizen several years whom sponsored me for Perm Res. I really enjoy seeing your POV in your videos. The lies about racism are epic here in Canada. They don't keep stats on hate crime against white people, qnd Christians, they brush off most of such incidences to promote equity, so it would be the highest if it was counted fairly.\n 80 churches were burned down or vandalized by hate groups and no news about it. Canada is under authitarian rule that creates chaos to sow division as they continually suck away more and more of our freedoms and rights.

Tell me is this what you are wanting from our government? White powerful men murdered, stole land, inflicted disease and forced them onto reserves. They kidnapped their children and forced them to go to residential schools. Many Indigenous children never went back home and parents weren't informed if they died. The survivors that returned home have PTSD which still affects their families and community. Treaties are not honoured and they are the most disrespect people in Canada. We see the homes some live in and we wouldn't allow our pets to live there and some don't have clean water to this day. Our government has provided some relief; however, it is a trickle of the help and support they deserve. Many Canadians deem them as drunks, drugged and/or lazy. If we had and have to live like that we would be the same. The government whitewashed our history and don't teach true history. If you knew their true history you would be amazed at how strong many are and they continue to fight with not a lot of support from the rest of us.\n\nSo, tell me is this the help you want from our government?

Canada is pretty good with French immigration, the Middle East immigration and with people that are going to give something in exchange in their view, then all those people take the best and more they could and go back to their Countries. You want to see a failed system based on diversity and inclusion. Every liberal town or province has become a shithole, and this has been pretty consistent even when you look south of the boarder. Want to know what works? Natural diversity, not forced diversity. If you introduce multicultural immigration, it allows those who come in to adjust at a normal and consistent pace. This allows immigrants to get the education they need, the job they need, and the position they are qualified and skilled for. Forced diversity only breaks the system, and immigrants gets lost in it and are not able to get the necessary education and skill they need. Therefore, you have the lack of diversity in any corporation or business that are operating today.

Black population now accounts for Only approximately 3.5% of Canada's total population. Thus, not enough Black people in Canada to support evidence of Job Income Inequality compared to White Canadians. \n\nAnd that alone should make one question the credibility of the Data by statistics Canada on Income equality for Black people vs White people. Moreover, its illegal in Canada to pay Anyone less than someone else ( regardless of Race, Gender, ....etc ) for the Same Job / profession and same amount of hours worked. However, Canada is well renowned for being one the least racist countries in the World compared to most Countries as well as one of the most Obliging & Tolerant. Albeit, It's the last a decade or so of perpetuated Propaganda that has deluded people to think racism against Minorities is rampant , when it seriously isn't.\n\nMatter of fact, Canada over excessive Generosity and Tolerance on many levels , \nEconomically, Immigration Influx and Socialism has already Commenced Canada's inevitable downfall towards increasingly Poor Quality of life overall for most people, Now and in near coming Future. Lived in Canada all my life. Love it. But,,, there is no future here. High taxes, poor government,, low wags, racism is a huge problem, and its not just white peoples. The immigrants can be super racist also. All this crap that Canadians are polite is not real. Its called passive aggression. When a Canadian says sorry if you bump into them in the store ,, they are being sarcastic! “Sorry you are an idiot and made me apologize to you eh!?” We are not nearly as nice as people think. The health care system here is trash! And will never improve. And its NOT free! Canadians get the tar taxed out of them their entire lives! Every single move one makes is taxed! Tax on tax on tax. First off Canada is not a systemically racist country I’m white I’m also poor and I’ve lived here all my life nearly everyone excluding the native population in a immigrant or a descendant of a immigrant my mom is Portuguese and I also have black family members we are no more racist than anyone else in any other country. Every country has a few homeless people and that number has grown immensely due to poor Liberal government policy when I was young there were maybe one or 2 homeless people in my home town and they were severely mentally Ill homelessness has greatly increased since pm Justin Trudeau has been in power and that’s something I can say I have observed first hand living here in Ontario Canada for 30 years - my entire life. Canadian tax payers don’t want to pay for drug addicts to get more drugs the Liberal Canadian government have set up “safe injection sites” and “ methadone clinics” that basically give these addicts more drugs that are payed for with our tax dollars again these clinics and safe injection sites didn’t exist when I was a kid and since then the number home homelessness has increased as well as the number in population addicted to drugs. Also you’re getting your statistics on hate crimes motivated based on race or ethnicity from CTV new a media outlet on the pay role of the Liberal government most people with any sense don’t pay attention to mainstream media here in Canada because it’s no longer journalism when you parrot a narrative that the government that is constantly attacking the fundamental values of Canada no controls I live in a complex that consists mostly of Arabic in Syrian people most racist comments I’ve heard has been between other families that have recently immigrated to Canada and it doesn’t happen often it’s usually just from unruly kids that are too ignorant to understand the implications of the words they utter at one another RBC is one bank in Canada if all the people working there happen to be white it doesn’t make a difference and is likely purely because they’’ve been working that same job for many years now we don’t give people jobs in Canada based on their skin colour people get jobs based on their performance and wether they meet the necessary SKILL requirements for that job there are lots of other banks in Canada that have different cultural diversities so far I honestly just feel like your just shitting on my county and that’s extremely rude of you eh. I recall in the 80's, transferring from the bus to the train was free in Canada... NY, the late 90's. No matter your ethnic group... there is a white person living in the same region as black and brown people. There is no divide. LGBT community were able to live free without fear, hand in hand. The fashion, extraordinary. Asian cuisine downtown, to die for. The tap water is that good cause of how proficiently Canada removes snow off the ground, unreal. My only issue, you better get what you need before the store closes, especially The Beer Store.

Alberta has lots of natural beauty, but they’re the worst people in Canada by far.\n\nIt’s the alt-right heartland of Canada, and more hate crimes than every other province in Canada combined. Mostly because there are less black and Hispanics people which are the ones that cause most crimes. Canada biggest minority group are asians. Asians don't go about doing crime they go to school.and do better then most white people. Black people are 2.5% and Hispanics are less then 1%.

I moved from the U.S. to Canada. Some observations:\n1. It's unbelievably safe in Canada. The most dangerous places in Canada are still very safe compared to much of the U.S.\n2. Outside of DC and New York and I guess Chicago and L.A. in the U.S. and Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, you need a car. I disagree that city planning is that much better in Canada.\n3. The maternity leave in Canada is great \n4. The unemployment insurance in Canada is great too\n5. I prefer the Canadian health care system. I never experienced any long wait times. My wife had literal brain surgery and it was free whereas it would've been hundreds of thousands of dollars in the U.S.\n6. Canada is further to the left and is much more woke than the U.S. Everything here is about equity, diversity and inclusion. Even many Canadian conservatives would be moderates in the U.S. but most people know this already.\n7. There is a better work life balance in Canada. I worked a lot more when living in the U.S.\n8. Most Canadians live by the U.S. border  so the weather is not that different than most northern American states. But once you go to northern Canada, it is as cold as they say it is.\n9. The U.S. is better for making money.\n10. It is much more racially segregated in the U.S. \n11. Outside cities like Montreal and Toronto, Canada is very white.\n12. Things are much more spread out in Canada. When I lived in the U.S. driving for 1 hour to go somewhere was a long drive. In Canada, that is normal.\n13. Canada is pretty great if you like the outdoors. There's only 36 million people here and outside the major cities, you find small towns and the wilderness. \n14. Canadians are quite friendly. I know my neighbors in the country. I never knew my neighbors in the U.S.\n15. Canadian politics is boring and I like this. However, in the rural areas, it seems that people really hate Justin Trudeau.\n16. Since Canada is so similar to the U.S. it is very easy to adjust to life here.\n17. Outside of Quebec, you really don't need to speak French. \n18. The nationalism of the Quebecois is very surprising. There is no group in the U.S. this nationalistic.

I love that people ONLY think about Toronto when they think Canada. \nComing from BC on the West Coast, living in Vancouver, the worst parts are the homelessness, the drugs, and the alienation. As a white guy it's very hard to find a healthy community to be a part of, whereas the Asian communities (Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian, etc) are very tight knit. \nBC is also CRIMINAL for cost of living. Not just housing but groceries, utilities, etc. Its beautiful country, and a lot of the smaller towns and cities are nice in terms of the people, it's just kinda crazy. \nStill, I wouldnt want to live anywhere else for very long.

I'm sure the demographics have nothing to do with why Canada has safer cities and nicer happier higher average IQ people right? Hint its 90% white/ southeast asian and only 4% black and less than 1% hispanic/ latino.
