my dil is mexican and is here legally. last march my son called me very early one morning with the news that his brother in law had been randomly murdered the night before. he was also in this country legally. as is my Dil's younger sister who lives with them. They also recently took in one of her younger sister's high school friends who was pregnant. they kept the girl safe with them until she gave birth. when I visited last may, I brought multiple baby gifts for the girl. when I have posted this before. there were many hateful comments that my son's brother-in law was probably killed by another illegal. Actually he was here in the country legally, as is my daughter-in-law. my DIL works hard doing payroll at a portland contracting company. she is here legally. at this point I can't wrap my mind around the hate that is thrown on people from other countries. most of us have ancesters that came from other places. I know that I do.

See the problem is that we pay for these people to live in our counties. It's not a threat you dumb B. It's cleaning the trash. How is it a threat? This brawd needs to be shipped to another country.

As a trump voter, I would like to say this guy is nuts!!! If this is the real trump policy, it will end the GOP. People have lived here for years and have American kids who are college grads. i dropped a long time canadian female at the ottawa Carling ave womens shelter to get away from an abusive husband...to find out she is dealing with violent fighting migrants and immigrants that have filled the place and taken resources from our own homeless people...and all getting welfare no questions asked....and welfare is less than 500 and odsp is 1100 and you have even more of our own people not able to find rooms or apartments and now more people living in the bushes all along the river from billings to downtown near the bike paths...and the local news is saying they are about to bring 2 big tents and bring in migrants to these 2 new centres they are about to pop up making us the new NEW YORK!

We shouldn't forget that 'CANADIAN' includes generations of Immigrants ! Whether you're a first generation or the 11th generation, you do deserve being called 'FOREIGNER' if there's absence of Inclusiveness. GIVE BACK Canada to INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES if you're really concerned. STOP spreading HATE due to Colour, think of proportional division of Immigrants/refugees based on the needs of provinces, residential education for international students ! Dividing people living in the country is not an option !

So I know several people from my childhood, still know them today, and they were brought here when they were less than 3 years old. Fast forward 25+ years and they are some of the most hard working, tax-paying, kind hearted people I know. And they just want to stay where they have always lived and worked. Is there room for compassion? I guess time will tell.

This is bs. Canada doesn’t operate by refugee or migrant labor. It’s perfectly fine. They charge us higher, but the country is safe and has law and order. Using cheap labor as an excuse to allow migrants who break the law to enter the country is ridiculous. We won’t like squatting in an occupied house, and then be forced to take care of our squatters. How about you sanctuary city people take migrants and have them live inside your home without vetting who they are and have an open door policy on your home. We don’t, because it’s ridiculous.

With the government helping migraints, more is going to them than our own. What is happening is they are pushing out people in migraint held cities and displacing existing residents. So those disbled , elderly, veterans and drug addicted people who are being displaced are being forced to smaller communities that don't have the infrastructure in place to cope with so many displaced people. Then you end up with a huge issue of Homeless people trying to live in Tents in the middle of winter. j You have a vast number of elderly women taking to van life because they can't afford to live any other way. Would you like to your Grandma living in Van, constantly on the go? YOu are being UNAmerican in your news reporting, when you fail to give fair reporting and do equal amount of investigating into who this actually affects amount the American people. I stayed in Brampton for over 19 years it was in the 70s 80s at that time most of the people living there it was mixed now last time I visited there I was sure some how got transported to India.Brampton seems to be the hot spot for East Indians not sure why that is

This isn't just a white or black thing it's an out of control immigration system where people use loopholes in the system to gain residency. This anti-immigration isn't isolated in fact most immigrants who's lived in Canada all their lives have expressed deep concern that the government is letting in too many from one nation and the lopsided admittance is part of the concern. The metrics of the majority of new immigrants come from the Middle East and India how can anyone not notice the concern that many have been expressing for a decade. Canadians aren't against immigrants it's that we didn't expect to just let anyone in without actually knowing how to speak English or have etiquette and follow laws. Many have concerns that many of the new comers can't even speak English yet they have license to drive and how do we get around most bend the rules or the law. Myself I've notice a skyrocketing scam scheme and how can you not equate that to the rise in our broken immigration policy. The last time I heard you had to have certain criteria to be considered to immigrate and why is that some countries like from the South Pacific you need to know English have money in the bank and a skill or degree on a list of acceptable qualifications. So many who can't even read or write English have jobs, drive a car, then to make matters worse have housing yet we have a crisis? Most Canadians see the pattern and most are educated enough to know there is something to be said, loopholes and when they find it they abuse the system.
