with respect to the job situation I am not really surprised at all. The higher up you go in terms of qualifications requirements is the less likely you are to find discrimination based on names in Toronto. \n\nThe real discrimination is at the bottom of the pay scale where the people making the decisions are less likely to be university educated and more likely to be say a white forklift driver who came up through the ranks and has been promoted through length of service rather than and specific qualification. He is likely tp still hold on to that Èthey are taking our jobs È mentality.\n\nAnother thing to consider in this Ontario/Toronto employment thing too is this. Ethnic employers tend to discriminated HEAVILY against anyone who is not of their ethnicity. The Chinese hire almost exclusively Chinese, partly because they can pay them less than minimum wage and get away with it. Indian employers hire almost exclusively Indians for the same reasons but additionally because they can get away with any number of safety violations because Indian workers tolerate and in fact tend to violate those safety codes in a normal situation anyway.\n\nThe same with Portuguese construction workers, they can pay them way less, get them to violate construction codes and cut corner on safety without being reported by or having workers complain. Polish and Romanian construction workers the same thing.

Just try to be christian, buddhist, atheist or whatever but muslim, in a muslim country, you simply can't. You can try in their biggest cities, but also there you will be discriminated. Islam itself is a religion of intolerance. If we don't tolerate fascism or discrimination, we can't tolerate an entire religion based on hate all of our culture.

Muslim lady speaks outside of her house and discusses issues we have with the religion, because of this she fears for her safety from her own community. It shows the deep problems we have with the western values and the Muslim community, yet here we have people tip toeing around the issue saying we have no problem, its religion and beliefs and peace and love and we should just accept all Muslim communities even tho this lady is telling you the problems right in front of your faces. There is so many videos you can find showing that Muslim community neighbourhoods do not want non-Muslim's in there community and they want Sharia law and they are not tolerant to outsiders and anyone that thinks different to them, even those from within there own community. 2 good examples are the town Dearborn, Michigan and Luton Town, UK of just how lack of tolerance for non-Muslim people in Muslim majority communities they have.

this is pure horse shit, while there is people afraid of muslims the west has created a society that prides itself on tolerance and inclusion. The full niqab is basically a wall to society saying I don't want to communicate or participate as eye contact and facial expressions determine how we interact with each other. Why are these women being interviewed? They are scared to say anything different, if they don't comply they fear for their lives. Interview the men and ask them what happens if the Muslim women refuse to wear the veil or abandon Islam. Search Farhkunda. Open your eyes.

In west we associate masked people with killers, thieves, assassins and such. Because women are pretty equal to men, not at 100% but pretty close we desire women to be identifiable when on the streets just as men are identifiable on the streets. So covering your face will probably not be accepted if ever by diverse population like USA that harbours so many different religion on one space and all are supposed to be tolerant and accepted by others. Choice or not women cover their faces so that when men see them they won't have impure thoughts about them. You're not being respectful towards them by covering yourself, you acknowledge that they are weak in flesh and that it is a woman's fault that they are weak in flesh.

There's a whole bunch of confounding variables to take into account. I'm not saying there's no racial bias involved in our day-to-day here in Canada but I would be more careful taking such incidents as evidence of racism. The nikab-act incidents in particular are simply not incidents of racism as far as I'm concerned; Overall, Canada is a very tolerant society and I feel so fortunate to live here. Although I have to say I did feel less fortunate when I lived in Montreal.

People real Islam is not a religion of peace! Read the Koran and you will see! Tolerance is not a one way street. Canadians (and other westerners) should wake up and realize that, and also form a basic understanding about the evils of islam, that muslims stand for.\nMany douchebags and pseudo-liberals of the Ben Affleck kind, will go to great lengths to defend islam and muslims while knowing absolutely nothing about that religion or its followers, with the only purpose being to selfishly display how PC they are. A true liberal person will value their acquired freedoms and privileges, and not be tolerant of the intolerant. Furthermore, real leaders should not be afraid to bring these points up, backing them up with hard evidence (not just hear-say or opinions), for the purpose of protecting civilised society: so that muslims and non-muslims all can understand why islam is incompatible with western civilisation. If muslims are offended by any of that, then that offence is brought on by themselves. PC has no place here.\n\nHere are some reasons why islam is incompatible with civilised society:\n1. Muslims consider the quran to be the perfect book and their prophet to be the perfect man, who's behaviour is to be aspired to, so perfect that any imagery of him does him great injustice and is forbidden. Then there are the many verses in the quran that order muslims to fight non-muslims (and specifically jews), order death for adultery and homosexual behaviour, etc. Just search and you'll find as there are way too many to list here. Islam is blessing for Germany and Europe. If Islam was there in Germany 6 million Jews life would have not lost their lives. Europe would not have under gone world war II.
