I went to live in Canada in 1997 and left in 1998. Other than a very mediocre quality of life, I found Canada dark and gray! High cost of living, low wages, high cost of education and all this to live under -14°C! I went to live in France, and Canada is not in the heels! In Paris I lived in a beautiful city, free and high quality health care, got one bachelor and three master degrees without debts, a contract of work protected with strong labor laws, 4 weeks paid holiday a year, travelled all over Europe and had a mild life canadians won't ever have!

The international students won't stay.. silent discrimination is very high in Canada. The taxes are also incredibly high and we don't get enough in return

I am sure nobody asked you to come to Canada so you won't be missed.

I left Canada in 2004 for Thailand. I think it's the best decision I made. Canada is a beautiful country. But to make a living there is a nightmare. The Universal Healthcare is there but you won't be able to access it unless you are dying.

Canada is a country that is built on middle class where a large part of the population are within the same earning range. There are positives to this, less crime, there is not a huge disparity between rich and poor which makes for a more sane environment don’t get me wrong, we still have our crime rate. Now you can see that the professional programs are limited compared to other countries in the universities and highly competitive so that you don’t have so many professionals with high earning power thereby creating a huge disparity. On the other hand, these high earners don’t get a tax return, get any govt cheque, their kids don’t get huge amounts for OSAP instead, they get billed to pay back the govt and that’s how those of you complaining now where able to get govt cheques when you just relocated, support low income homes and newly landed immigrants. There’s free health, good Ammenities, snow is cleared, the roads are salted and de iced, free Education, govt loans and school loans that’s where your tax money goes to. Everyone has an accent that’s your identity why will you feel somehow or intimidated when you are told you have an accent that’s being timid say yes I have an accent it’s African or Caribbean etc. About racism it’s rare never experienced it that’s not saying it doesn’t happen but am gonna call you out if it’s obvious I have been profiled. Yes the weather is harsh did you not look at your map before relocating ?? In all most of these complaints are individual experiences so I won’t invalidate it but don’t trash what you gained from. Retraining and certification is a must especially when you are coming from a certain country and it’s not a bad idea. Am in healthcare and retraining is a must if you didn’t school here cos it’s entirely different talk about work ethics, equipments, software, differentiation in policies, health laws and malpractice laws.\nLook at the brighter side of life and stop complaining migration has its pros and cons position yourself in a place to have a good life, go back to school, get certified, keep retraining and adding value to your certificate.

Canada is still one of the safest places in the world. I won't leave. This phase will blow over. Nothing is permanent. Things change for the worse before getting better. I would take Canada any day compared to the US or some countries in Europe.

We came to Canada in seventies, and it takes at least 5 to 8 years to settle here. These days, people are doing well in India. There is no need to move here. Canada has also changed a lot. I know people who came to Canada returned to india after 5 months. Not once twice. They came back and are well settled. I will say if people are doing good in India and have a big circle of family and friends in India. Then they won't be happy here. Finding a good job takes years in some case. It's your luck too if you find a decent job then you will be ok. The worst thing here is long winter. You get tired of cold and snow. Now the cost of living is very high, renting or buying a house is very expensive. In the end, most people make it.

I think this video is interesting because many people are upset about the direction Canada is heading because they are trying to make it accommodating to people like you. Your reasons seem very tone deaf and hypocritical. You point out negatives about Canada but seem to only say positives about other countries. If I am not an oldie, I would leave canada as well. This country is not what it is used to be. Also, I think the opportunity is very limited here as jobs wise or for invested in business wise. This country is only good for oldies with money to move in . Cause at least the air is fresh, the living pace is slow, so you can walk a lot slower. As for young one, the opportunity is very limited. If I had won a big lotto , I probably would leave right away even at my age.

It doesn´t sound like you were ever feeling home in Canada. Canada is always been Christian-majority, progressive country that sides with US and UK politically. If you can´t accept it then you won´t be satisfied in Canada.

The Arab world is complicit in the human shield strategy. Why is no one blaming them for dead Palestinians? It's not just the recruiters in India. Canada themsevles is pumping out ads like crazy promising a great life with all this opportunity. Might have been true 30 years ago. Not now though, won't be for a long time.

One of the main reasons you don't make friends in Canada isn't cultural or personality issues but objectively, Canadians have to try and work any and all shifts, any days, holidays and weekends are disappearing. They need to work full-time + side jobs. So, with distance involved, most people won't be free for friendship at the same time as any others. It's that simple really.

If you were among the best of the best in your own country it won't take long for you to find a job to work among the best in Canada. If you were mediocre to begin with expect mediocre responses from hiring managers.

It's obvious that you have never lived outside of Canada. Canada is probably one of the last countries in the world that accepts people for who they are and has a decent level of respect for belief systems. I get that you want to raise your children in a better environment, but trust me when I tell you this... you are walking into a world of disappointment. Canada itself is about 15 years behind other countries when it comes to this downwards spiral you are speaking of. Sadly, you will find out soon enough that this utopia you want to find, simply doesn't exist and you will discover you have left the variable comforts and safety of Canada behind. I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but am simply sharing what I discovered when I searched for the same things. I think L. Frank Baum said it best.... if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. If you are lucky in life you will discover that the world doesn't stop turning for you, and that the world that you dream of for your children must be created from within. That being said, it is good to travel and trying different ways of living is a wonderful education for your children. What other career can you make $150k a year with a single year of college? Go search for the largest number of workers within which agencies on the Ontario Sunshine List and extrapolate that across the country. We reap what we sow. The world is passing us by as we invest HEAVILY on dkkmesric policing at the expense of all other industries that would drive a true Free Market.

I agree with all your points but also I somewhat think this is a defeatist mentality , I think you should stay regardless I'm an immigrant to Canada and I am staying here till the end. Doesn't mean I won't move around and do projects abroad if I can for business, or for Islam, but I am not leaving definitively because my goal is to take advantage of all the opportunities at my disposal to achieve my goals.

Growing population won't help growth of economy which you can see cleary Indians leaving their country due to lack of jobs and opportunities. And Canada especially not able and ready for influx of people coming to this country. Bringing more and more immigrants are just sole purpose of bringing money into the country to run the economy. And once you are here then you are trapped. Some people do well but not all. Canada has shortages in every field and sectors. There are qualified immigrants to fill the gap but the older generations don't let the control go out of their hands and lose their paycheque and hegemony.

Canada either it’s good or not - one of the very few countries that gives you a clear immigration program, so you can prove you skills and come even without a job offer and be a permanent resident. You won’t have to leave the country if you can’t find a job longer than a month (hello Europe) and you’ll receive citizenship not in 10 years but in 3. \nAn alternative to Canada is Australia, but there are spiders and it’s too far.

I'm Canadian born and raised.The main problem is too many people are left leaning so we have the same problems as California,to much bureaucracy,high taxes,crime,homelessness,drugs etc that's all a biproduct of liberalism.High taxes are needed to fund left wing policies like the climate scam,giving billions to ukraine,womens groups,gay groups etc the useless bureaucrats have to justify their position so millions of unnecessary and pointless policies are imposed.I'm a welder and the bs you have to go through is so extream many just give up and do something else.As for immigrants it effects them too so we have doctors driving cabs or nurses working at mcdonalds etc these problems really started to be an issue when Canada got progressive in the mid 90s and never recovered.I heard 50k of born and raised Canadians have been leaving every year for the last 3 years with no end in sight.My countrymen need to wake up and dump left wing thinking and bring back the conservatism from the past that built this country or there won't be a Canada.

The privilege of leaving to a place of your choosing because of your parents choices to immigrate here. Canada is imperfect just like everywhere else. (Unless you are privileged financially, living in a bubble) you won't see the imperfections of other countries until you are there among the people long term, because the impoverished are hidden away better and the alternative lifestyles are forced underground because they are not free to be. Canada used to be a great country. Now it's a good place only for the rich! Yet, the country is still accepting 500.000 immigrants per year and the fact is many will have to leave simply because they will not be able to earn enough to support themselves. Even more sad is the illusion that many immigrants have that Canada is a great country and that they will be much better off than in their home country. They won't!

As someone from the US, here’s what I will say- you can find a small community or a community within a large city that will fit your needs if you look hard enough. HOWEVER, outside of that community, our larger government will never be the right fit for you, for the same reason you’ve “outgrown”Canada. “We” rarely invest in our own country and citizens, and always have “our” hands and money in other country’s affairs where they don’t belong and aren’t welcome. The government is unbelievably corrupt, out of touch, and is more focused on getting one side to hate the other side than actually making “no-brainer” steps that we all agree on to make things better for everyone. If you’re looking for a place to land for a little while I’d say a place with a Muslim community is fine, but long term your money won’t be going to places that aligns with your morals and values.

Allowing foreign buyers to purchase houses while NOT living in Canada was the trigger that started all this. Canada receives WAY TOO MANY immigrants per year. The system cant adjusts fast enough. This drive the demand for housing and for rents. \nCanada needs to close access to land/house to foreign buyers, stop investment visa, and cease immigration for a few years until the system catches up to the demand.\nY'all leave Canada and won't ever give up your Canadian passport in case things go south in your new country (also visa privilege).

If his opinion was the one to go by, Malaysia is to be ranked as the best country in the world. It has everything you would want according to your list of why you're leaving Canada: warm weather; affordable; Muslim nation; doesn't support israehell. I live in Michigan. I hate it here for the exact same reasons you outlined. I have literally never traveled outside of Michigan EVER due mostly to fear and anxiety of traveling. So the idea of MOVING is almost impossible due to fear and anxiety alone. I have a question, what about extended family? Won't you miss them, or are they tagging along? Salam and good luck ??

Agreed coz one of my relative went to Canada in 2005 in winters..you won't believe he came back after 3 months..\nNow he got a better job and owns a house in Pakistan and a content life with his family.

about the work policy , I really like Canada, bc every one worked. Back home if u have something like peeper works , you went in the office the workers who is working in the office they keep you long plus you have to go back and forth so many times one day works takes so many days, because the won't u to give them money if you want your peper work done, every one work in the office or somewhere is bribery. Or you have to know some one who is working in that place, altogether the true is Canada if u go any office , just waiting your line and when is your tren and they will help you,

I was born in Canada but I'm married to an immigrant, a hard-working model citizen who is loved by everyone, we have a child together and we've now decided to move back to Japan. I will not have my daughter grow up under sharia law. I'm educated enough to know what happens when we allow Islam power. They will become the majority because, they use violence to attain their goals, and Canadians are too politically correct, too afraid of being accused of being Islamophobic. Many will think that it won't happen here, just as they think that they will never become ill or be harmed by anyone, but it will certainly happen. We are preparing to leave soon.
