Here's a fascinating insight: International students are occasionally granted security clearances, enabling them to contribute to government jobs and confidential projects. It's noteworthy that some Indian individuals are actively engaged in these roles. This perspective may shed light on why some individuals view the Canadian government skeptically, given the presence of Indian agents in sensitive government positions.

I made about 65K in 1999. Paid just over 40% in total taxes. Are you sure it's 22K taxes on 100K income? I left Canada a long time ago (not enough jobs, etc. all the reasons you listed, thanks!). Tired of Canada's overly woke politics too :( I used to be progressive, now I'm conservative. I have not changed much in my views, it's just that Canada (mainstream) has shifted so far left :(

We all like to push this narrative about how wonderful multiculturism is, but is it actually a good thing, or are we simply saying this cos we want to sound very open minded and inclusive? \n\nCountries need to retain their own identity. So if we want to move abroad, we should be willing to integrate in to their society (even if we do have some different beliefs from them in other ways). Moving to another country, not integrating and just hanging out with people from your own country isn't really good for anyone. We just create divides within that society and thus become more detached and distant from one another. \n\nAlso, living in high rise buildings seems quite dehumanizing to me. Sure, it must be cool to have a good view, but that's not how humans should live and exist- stacking thousands of people on top of one another.

You have thrown your life away by leaving Singapore for Canada but you will realize it later. ??? so sad. This video has the most views of your channel because people are watching a trainwreck. Google Ukrainians leaving Canada back to Ukraine, a war zone and read. Sad ? for you

First of all I think you are adorable couple. There will be changeless ahead and some eye-opening realizations. \n1. There is no one you can pray to (only you and the fbi can hear you inner thoughts;)\n2. Arab countries might view you as a rebellious elements (might not like it there as having a lot of western cultural imprints)\nBe safe and blessed on your journey.

but to be honest guys, Muslim countries do the same or worse to non Muslims. In Saudi, every woman has to wear a hijab regardless of their religion. In my view Muslims seems a bit slefish and intolerant in that they want to be accommodated in other societies but non Muslim societies are not very accommodating. Says someone who stayed in a Muslim country. We were not allowed to have church meetings on campus.

Canada in general has changed, and not for the better in the last 15 years. The cost of living has gone through the roof, and salaries are not any better. This is from the point of view of someone from Montreal, so I cannot even imagine how expensive Toronto and Vancouver must now be.

I have family in Canada, and there are pros & cons of being there, and yes, weather & inflation are two important factors. There are Muslim communities in Canada, but it all depends where you’re at. I do understand the prevalent anti Muslim attitude/atmosphere, I live in the US and there are certain areas where I would not feel safe declaring my religion and having my wife & daughter wearing hijab, it’s sad, but we as Muslims in North America have to act as the pioneers and make our fellow Americans understand better our religion & our view points regarding the political & religious differences we have.

From my point of view you will not find a better country to live than Canada. But make you happy and try it.

While my ideological views may be different I am in complete agreement on your moving out of the sh*t hole once known as the Great White North.\nI live in the Philippines now, and my wife and I both discussed this as we watched your video. My wife, a Filipina. She said when the Truckers Convoy was brutally shut down Canada changed for the worst permanently.\nI agree, my heart no longer bleeds for the country I served loyally and faithfully in the RCAF and I know the globalist ideology has overtaken the country. It is systemic throughout all levels of government.\nYour children deserve a better life and you can always come back to visit Canada and her Majestic beauty.

It's funny every country in the world has the same narrative.\nSo the question is do we check before making videos to milk view or we are just supposed to belive that people are going to the fucking moon?
|

I could not agree more with your views. When you have a government that does not represent their voters views and does what ever they feel like you have a serious problem.Taking away freedom of speech is probably the worst thing for a society as it lets a few carry the narrative. Wish you and your family the best.

It would be absolutely brilliant if you could spread your view to other Muslim wanting to go to any western counties that it is not a place for Muslims, please don’t come to the UK as we are over run by Muslims

Very interesting. I have really enjoyed listening to your views and why you are doing what you are doing. I too am very concerned about what is happening to the world and I’m an atheist. I lived in Toronto 40 years ago and I’m sure it was a very different place to what it is now. Very good luck to you both and your girls.

Nothing funnier than people coming here of their own volition for purely material reasons and then complaining about the situation here. This isn't the 1980s. It is not hard to find out what to expect from a financial point of view while sitting in your room in your homeland.

Good. Take your views somewhere else, you are not wanted in Canada.

Well, as a person who grew up in a Muslim community, I respect your view but I disagree with Azan being loudly heard. I just hate it. It is like a noise interrupting in the daily life. I believe there are apps that play it and you can use them. As for Palestine, sure Canada is on the wrong side but the UAE is the same, they recently normalized the relations, Saudi Arabia said just two days ago they are willing to do so, and most European countries are similar. The US is even worse. How many good options do you have?!

I appreciate the way you present the reality. One way to cope with salaries and taxes is to open you own enterprise. This is the canadian way of growing fron a wealth point of view. As a person leaving from a salary, it is still possible to grow depending on your skills. But beggining your own business to exploit your skills will make you 'fly' to the next level, which is the actual way of growing. It took me a lot of years to realice this. Just think about it, provinces allow medecins to incorporate what means that they will pay less taxes and become richer sooner. This is just my thought, other people may think in a different way, I just try to give positive ideas.\n\nSecondly, Canada is still a country to live in a bit better than other countries considering many things happening around the world. Crime and economics is worst everywhere also. But, it all depends on what criteria counts for you. About society, it's not easy to make real friends except other inmigrants that need it too. Climate is not attractive specially for older people. Etc.\n\nHope you find my comments interesting and that you find your place soon.

I am not Muslim, Christian by tradition, not religious. I am an immigrant in the U.K. for over 30 years and this is my pint of view… One common remarkable characteristic of us, all immigrants, is the fact that we will always criticise the country we are living in, due to the fact that we will always miss our origins, no matter how good or bad both countries are, and most of us subconsciously live our lives waiting for that settlement of living in the perfect place, ideally our original place of birth with all the positives according to the way we think, act and believe. You are a young couple with strong opinions, who will only find the right path for your family by living the experiences, and learning from them. At some point in our lives, reality always kicks in. Good luck.

This is so BIZARRE. Why on earth are they posting this malarkey, as though it’s of general interest? Ah, I know, to rake in cash $$ for each viewing. Typical YouTube greed. \nThey betray their shallowness & naïveté about the world, and will never be content no matter where they live.

I agree with many points you have made in this video but, I want to point out one thing about Canadians (and most western cultures)- they have an egalitarian view of society and are much less selfish as compared to Indians. Take that instance you mentioned about that Canadian woman who was waiting with her child in the emergency ward - unlike Indians she knew that there was another person whose situation was more dire than that of her child so she willingly waited for her child's turn to be looked at by the emergency doctor. But, in the case of Indians they will not have the grace to wait quietly for their turn.

I feel like government and cities were really complacent with the incredible speed at which the real estate price has been increasing for the last decade. They were complacent because it benefited them with higher property taxes. However, this very short term view by the government had led to a social crisis. Who the fuck can afford apartments at 3000$/month. There is no solution but to crash the real estate market but this will also lead to a worse social crisis.

Assalamu alaikum. I'm a proud Muslim from Bangladesh who watched this vlog for the first time. Though I never lived or visited Canada I know all the points you mentioned here. All the difficulties in Western countries as a practicing Muslim. My wife wants to move to Canada & she always keeps pressuring me to take steps to move on to Canada but I am not that much interested for the same reasons you mentioned here. My sister lives in Saskatoon & she wants to help me with the relative points to move to Canada. I always try to make them understand my views. But they don't understand. They thinks Canada is the best!

Having lived in Canada, I can understand many of your arguments. A question to the wife: would you give up your right to sit equal to your husband and express your personal views when leaving Canada? Because you will surely have no equal rights in countries that practice strict Islamic law.

I see eye to eye with you on 3 points, but for the other two, you are entitled to your own views and perspectives. I think a country in the GCC, Indonesia or Malaysia possibly may be a nice option for you. Good luck on your journey and hope you find what you are looking for to live the life you desire.

Yes. The western way of life is not perfect and hard for a true Muslim believer. They have hard time to accept the other, especially gender wise as spoken by this lovely couple, eloquently. They don't even want their kids to know that God creates many different views and walks of life. \nThat is where the problem lies.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Very interesting and an opportunity to understand a conservative Arab Muslim view even after decades of living in and benefiting from Western society. \n\nOne question: have you ever looked at the HDI ranking of societies and reflected on how it is that the bottom half of the ranking is where almost all Muslim majority nations rest (with the exception of the oil monarchies of course where sales from oil, oil that is contributing significantly to the global warming that is harming the Earth in a way that brings to mind the verses of your Quran about fasad-fil-ard and the command on Mankind as part of its Khilafah to uphold the Mizan or balance or else be of the transgressors, make up the main reason for not being in the bottom half of the ranking)? Would love to hear your reflections.

I live part time in the USA during winter. Absolutely enjoy the warm climate. It is certainly a different experience. English is somehow annoying since I am French but this is expected and can live with it. From my point of view, it's hard to say if the overall experience is better or worse. Will not consider moving in the US full time. Quebec is my home and I am deeply attached to it.

I'm not Muslim, and I completely understand your views and fears. I think you are making the best decision for your family. There are many things in this country and other countries that need to be addressed. Hopefully, in our children's future, all countries will be able to address issues that are unacceptable for different races, religions, and prejudices.
