Way too many people who can't speak English

hey good on you your expressing the right stuff . i hope you read this message and continue . im in montreal and im a plumber who got sick prior to covid and im truly upset on how quebec is treating english people here . we dont get a chance for jobs were actually told to leave . id love to hear you speak about your general feeling about quebec .

Canada must repeat what it did in the 1930's and the 1940's. Canada needs to bring 5 million immigrants from Eastern Europe, like Poland, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Bosnia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Macedonia etc. Just look at the Eastern Europeans in Canada, they and their Canadian born children and grandchildren have learned and speak the English language fluently. In Canada, people speak English and French. The British and the French values must be upheld. God save the King.

Don't forget get that Canada is a British colony and we know that in the UK there are on the Muslim's side. While they silence their own people from speaking out about terrorism.

I pray for you for bringing this to light as an indian yrself, rightfully said, thank you. Just my take on these immigrants from India. These young ones coming here, are different from Indians long ago or even a decade or as you said 5 years ago. They were never this type of people, or behave in the manner these do (disgraceful). And another point, WHY do you need to practice yr religion so loudly that all must see and hear you???\nJust as you're not accepting some ways of this world, it's just and fair for others to not want to see or hear or accept yr religion practices. Do yr rituals in yr homes not in public, like how older indian did it. How hard is that to understand.

Most of Germans are really good people and friendly nothing against them but Germany itself is not immigrant friendly racism is pretty much on the rise ,low wages , little or no opportunities, my wife handles international clients and she says German client s are the worst in behavior they sound rude and entitled. If I'm a skilled person and want to move to Germany first and foremost you need to learn most difficult language in world and master it nothings wrong there but why would I when I could just go with English and move to other English speaking countries which offers more opportunities or atleast learn french that would be even more beneficial. Germany was known for it's low cost education system and other benefits it provide for students but sadly enough jobs are not there. If you want to attract international talent first atleast create an atmosphere for them but really sorry to say these but Germany feels hostile towards immigrants. Big MNCs are seeing all these and saying why are we here if we cannot hire international talent and slowly they are walking out of there and moving on to other countries ? and now you got serious issue here and people have only themselves to blame ?. Go taken out anti immigrant marches and go with conservative approach nothing new for Germany in the end German economy always ends up in toilet.

I am sad about everything that is happening now. \n\nSad for Canadians and the new generation of students coming with improper planning. Some can't even speak decent English. Some are not interested in studying and getting local degrees. No solid long term plans. \n\nSome of them have no respect for local culture as you mentioned. Rude and unruly behaviour has become a common site in some areas. It is expected that most Canadians will come to detest all that. It's only natural. I can't stand it so how would they, who have never been exposed to that? \n\nDuring Covid, govt let students work FT, they let them come without asking for proof of sufficient funds to support themselves. Because of that, many people brought their families and the spouses were allowed to work as temporary workers. \n\nAll this was to be a temporary arrangement but people moved in droves without considering the possibility of things changing. They figured that between two jobs, however small, a family could survive. Sadly, not true. We already have a crisis at home and this made things even worse for the locals. There are low income families here as well. Things like Covid and the war has affected Canada badly. \n\nGovt failed to make it clear that the lifting of work restrictions for students was a temporary move. People also got carried away. In the end, everything has become a royal mess. As I said, it is a sad situation for both sides.

Thanks Mr. Trudeau; I live in a small NS community that's in truth overrun with East Indian students within the past five years. Our own young people couldn't buy a job here if they wanted one, the East Indians scooped up everything. If you go to any store here it's like we're in India; almost all the employees and shoppers are East Indian, none speaking English which is our language here. Most people here are not comfortable going into our own stores, in our own community anymore. This is not racisim, it's common sense; it's just not a reasonable situation that's been put upon the people here.

Maybe theres some Canadians who hate Indians, but Canadians as a whole do not hate Indians. \n\nI'm a 3rd generation Canadian. Our mother tongue is almost never used at this point. We speak English, we took on the Canadian way of life and culture. Canada doesnt look the same anymore. I'm told White people are the vast majority here, yet I don't see that many White skinned folks like I used to. In fact, almost every store, fastfood restaurant, facilities, my own work place, White skinned folks are by far the minority in these environments.

India should be responsible for their own people and allow Canadian citizen to take care of themselves. But if you do want to visit Canada you need to speak perfect English.

Indians have come into our community and taken over all our resources. My community use to be multicultural. Now all the jobs are taken over by indians and people are afraid to speak out in fear of being called racist.

In US we have Venezuelans and their Venezuela gangs ? New York is becoming very dangerous to live. Most of my friends who live in Germany are unhappy about their immigration. They said racism of german people annoy them and It’s very hard to learn and speak Deutsch. Most importantly,after many years German people don’t accept them as a native like them.

My experiance with German culture is kind of simillier. All though I am not from Germany but from Austria.\nThe simillierities are kinda parallel. \n- The housing market is getting worse everyday.\n- Compared to the other countries the job market is not that matured. Specially in tech. The salaries are capped and you can reach the ceiling super quickly.\n- All though I don't have any friends here, my overall experience with people weren't that bad, specially considering I don't speak German.\n- Occational racism? sure. But there were good people as well. And I think there are bad people everywhere.\n\nAll though I was mentally at a bad place after a year living in here, what helped me better my mental health was realizing that my worth does not comes from other people, and not everyone needs to me my friend. \n\nTips if you're a newcomer.\n- Realize that people are not cold because you look different, but sometimes its the culture, so do not take it personally.\n- Be polite to other people and don't be apologetic if you can not speak german while taking services, often time speaking in easy english without thinking of grammers helped me making people feel easy to communicate with me.\n- Meeting people would be hard, so rather than trying to make friends everywhere try to join an activity that you actually enjoy, often time you will meet likeminded people that you can build true friendship with.\n- And be respectful to their culture.

I saw Indians pooping on beaches in PEI and NB this summer and throwing garbage everywhere. Now they are protesting to stay when their visa's have expired. They complain about school and housing, but at the same time, exploit food banks and take up entire neighbors up degrading land value with their crime and trash. Then whenever you interact with them, they are rude, speak quickly and do not learn to adapt to our way of life. Instead we get more protests and violence. Indians abroad are responsible for billions in fraud and mismanagement across many sectors, and Indian government openly hamulated Canada on several occasions. On the count of immigration to Canada, more then 2/3 are coming from India and many are unvetted. Indians are not global people, they are not friendly or adaptable. Taking advantage of our hospitality and complaining when they stop getting that treatment pretending it's not their fault. Indians should go back to India and fix whats going on there. Get better schools, and have better manners. You have generations of youth who are very rude and dirty. I wish everything I said wasn't true, but with many personal experiences and others sharing, we have found the same is true about all of this many times over, in a span of 10 to 15 years. As an Indian myself, i highly respect the decision taken by the Canadian government since sooner or later this decision was gonna be made just like in Australia. These borders are opened to study further, and eligble people only should be considered to get permanent residency who would contribute the foreign land with good skills like Doctors, Engineers, and so forth, not just for menial jobs. For the sake of an easy citizenship, there is a huge trend to go Canada for Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis. They are not ready to upgrade their skills while studying abroad, and return home to contribute to thier own nations, while they just want to live there, yet still complain we face unemployment. Some of my nation students, unfortunately, don't even know how to speak English properly and pay a huge amount to their agents to go abroad. This is a good decision for them, but a sad decision for those who genuinely want to study in some good courses and wanna get into white-collered jobs.

Speaking Punjabi loudly in public spaces is very rude, Canadians are respectful of others and their language but this is not India. \n Bad body odour in public, to the point where people need to move seats and get away from it. \n The huge amount of Indian people working entry level jobs as servers etc. but then provide very poor rude service. (They don’t know what their doing and they don’t understand Canadian hospitality).

When Indians from small towns with less exposure become manager abroad, they start dominating and micro managing foreigners working under them. Desi people love bossing around. Speaking from personal experience in NZ. They come to a foreign country and create the same Indian fucking work ethics. I hope immigration gets even tougher for us Indians as we don't deserve it.

Every time someone say something about Indians they pull the racist cards. Going through Tim Hortons is like a struggle for them. They can’t multitask. What about our kids that are here. Oh my list is so long and nobody does anything about it, going for a walk with your family and they don’t wanna move out the way they follow they always impact they wanna come into workplace and speak their language and they wanna carry their knives like what? When does other Canadians have other rights over these Indians, they feel that because they’re so much that they can overpower people because of that not me. And when they put men in supervisor or manager rules, they be little woman. This is a woman it’s whirl and everything is equal a man’s job. A woman can do it probably most likely even better.

I personally used to love indians. Especially punjabis. The ones who immigrated here in the 80s and 90s were quiet, dignified and productive.\n\nThey were family oriented and blended into canadian society seamlessly.\n\n\nThis is what indians need to do in order to regain respect again.\n\n1. Call out other indians who do not assimilate into canadian culture. And stop saying youre indian. I am West Indian, descendent of India indentured workers. I love my country of birth, Canada where I have lived since 3, and I have much love and pride in my Indian roots. That being said, I have come to feel embarrassed of being taken for East Indian by other Canadian people. I moved to small city outside of Toronto in 2004. I loved it here! People were so welcoming, kind, friendly. I felt no prejudicial treatment from any of my neighbours. \nFast forward, my little city is now overrun with new Indian immigrants. I can’t tell if I am in the heart of Toronto or Brampton or my city of Oshawa. \nThe Indian people I encounter in the grocery store are pushy, have no Canadian manners, speak their language loudly, come to the stores with their entire family which fills up the isles and cause long lines. All the sale items are sold out by the time you get there because Indians are filling their cart with as much as they can purchase of any of the on sale merchandise. This never happened before. \nI am also saddened by being assaulted when an Indian person passes by and wave of body order sickens me. I don’t understand what the cause of that is. Not bathing regularly or not using deodorant. But I notice this everywhere I come in contact with Indians, men and women, young and old. \nI feel like I will be mistaken for East Indian myself which I have been when I went to the hospital. I was treated like I couldn’t speak English lol\nThe worst is the Muslims, they are the rudest the way they fill every available free space, make women feel uncomfortable and are just intrusive and unable to incorporate themselves with other Canadians. I live there for two decades except few years in India. People move there for opportunities and face job problem. Earlier one could manage in 2000 dollars but now 4000 is not enough. Salaries have increased but cost of living rose rapidly in the last 4-5 years. \n\nLakes are there but only produce is grass and cows fed on that. Some farming is there. Lot of forests but more than economy, it is becoming liability with very high cost of dousing wild fires. In summers, many cities are severely polluted causing health concern in only good season there. \n\nAll businesses are controlled by a few and we call them cabal. Life of new comer is like bonded labourers or slaves. \n\nPolity and healthcare we need not say anything. It is as clear as daylight \n\nPeople are moving less but are still moving there. It speaks more about condition in India.

@DW News. I am A Doctor from India living in Germany since 7 years. Still i face alot of discrimination, although i speak C1 level of German. I faced descrimination for school admission of my Child. Beurocracy is so bad that i am thinking also to move to other country. Even after paying a Tax more than 2000€ a Month i feel i am not wellcome here, that i can feel from the behavior and read from the face of the people.

I am constantly annoyed by the following, but because I was born in Canada, I would be cancelled for saying the things you can. I am also Indian. Here’s the list that comes to mind. I might come back and edit this because I am sure there are things I am forgetting: \n\n- coughing into your elbow instead of your hands (literally watched a guy yesterday on the bus cough into his hands then put his hands onto the support bar)\n\n- Standing to the side and letting people off the train so you can get on instead of trying to walk through people who are trying to get off \n\n- Standing up and moving to the side to let somebody off on an inside seat of the bus. I have a butt. I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. The skytrain now smells like Indian food even when empty. \n\n- Stop riding your bikes and scooters on the sidewalk. It’s illegal and you have a responsibility to learn the rules \n\n- Stop hiring everybody that you know. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. Playing music or having conversations on speakerphone in public places is rude and very inconsiderate of others \n\n- Stop cheating. Whether that’s cheating the system or during classes. We grow up here and environment that even though we can cheat, the culture makes it completely unethical and you just don’t. The consequences are significant. I get it that you come from a country that doesn’t have enough resources for its population, but you give the entire Indian community a bad name when you cheat, lie, and do other unethical things.\n\n- Learn about Canadian values. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. While you’re at it go look up who was determined to be some of the greatest Canadians.

Indian origin people are about 4.75% of the Canadian population. In the video, the Indians were friendly and did not seem to cause any risk. They are either students or young professionals. In fact they were speaking English. Seems like ethnic populations (even among Europeans) tend to co-locate.

I have done part of my education in Germany with very nice professors. I improved my German language skills to C1 level and still keep learning it. I have been working in some of the most well-known German companies some of which used to be part of Fortune 500. I am very grateful for the opportunity that I was given both at university and work places and the support I got from some of my good managers at the beginnning of my career. However, I should say on a daily basis you will face racist comments and discrimination. Despite high tax that I am paying and doing my best to be useful for the society, at work place you hear a lot of racist comments. When you go out, you can see you are not welcome in the society, and that is not only my problem. At both university and work, international people are together and Germans are within themselves, and you are not welcome being there. Here in Germany this phenomenon is called Parallelgeselschaften or parallel societies. Yes, you see people from all around the world, but it doesn't mean you are in an international place, all the expats are within themselves. The society is not open to accept them. As a specialist, you can be much happier living in an English-speaking country which is tolerant and allows you to be part of the society. I should say however, I have had also nice German colleagues who were really open-minded and truely have an international mindset and separate themselves from the historic racist mindset. Putting this comment here, I am ready for racist comments coming towards me. Go ahead.

In the last 4 years I have been nearly hit by Indian immigrant drivers who do not obey traffic laws in Ontario. I have met drivers driving the wrong way on way streets Indian, Drivers making illegal U turns and nearly hitting me Indian, drivers who change lanes in the middle of intersection Indian, every time my phone rings there is an Indian pretending to be CRA, or Amazon trying to scam money. Every fast food place is staffed by Indians who barely speak English can't be understood and fuck up the order. I have Indian customer ask me to break the law and carry more passengers than there are seat belts in my van I am tired of it I am tired having to compete against international students who come here on student visa's to study at some scam diploma mill college but not go to any classes and drive Uber. I am tired of having to play by the rules and compete with people who say fuck the rules. So don't let the door hit you fuckers on the way out.
