I always find it interesting and funny how these stories never actually go into WHY this is happening and how we got here, lol... like, it's almost as though they don't want us to think beyond reaction fever, and there's zero accountability to the decision makers, e.g. corrupt politicians and foreign investment in cahoots together, along with the banks, the oil and gas sector, and the rest of the multinational fat-cats who've eroded the middle class and leveled the small business economy.

Western Canadian here. Moved away from the coast last year because of the ideological capture and literally watching the community dissolve and collapse in front of my eyes. Overwhelming drug abuse and a lack of policing or care for the general population. \n\nThe state of this country is sad. Yesterday was Canada Day, our July 4th. Virtually no flags or positive sentiment. What do we have to be proud of?\n\nI want to be clear here, I don’t blame the the immigrant populations for coming here, I blame the people that allowed them to come with ZERO plan for how to ensure they’re taken care of while not negatively impacting native Canadians.\n\nThe government created this problem, they can fix it but choose not to and instead turn us all against each other when we should be pointing the finger at the powers that be.\n\nBut I’m sure for this opinion they’ll show up at my place later for wrong think so it’s been swell everyone.\n\nGood luck out there in this absolute clown show. Until we get lobbying and money out of politics internationally we’re fucking doomed.

They really do not show interest or adapt to Canada. All food Indian, all movies Indian, all references are Indian. Zero deeper interest to become a part of Canada, to understand Canada and the unwritten rules, norms. The purpose is utilitarian: clean streets and cleaner air, but with hearts in their own home country. A very sad thing to see. Here in Europe, country after country is saying no to this kind of migration. Canada should too.

I don't care about a person's race or background stop letting people into our country and help our people first. A country should come first before helping others out. If another country is under threat of invasion then help them out. When you have tyrants like putin or leaders bent on power you wonder why people leave their countries because those countries aren't taking care of their people properly. We've strayed too far off the right path and I blame JT he has failed this country. I have zero hope of ever owning a house or retirement I can't even get a family doctor. What these immigrants are doing are immigrants that are permanent residents east Indians for example have been getting their relatives to move in with them from India they all fill that house pool their money together buy a house and move those said relatives into that house and it's a never ending cycle.

Indian guy here. This is fairly accurate and not racist at all. Even we Indians know that this immigration policy makes zero sense and is serving neither the citizens, nor the immigrants. Worse, it's attracting the worst kind of immigrants who do not offer a lot of skills.\n\nThis is leading to rising racial tensions which is further shooing away the skilled immigrants. Why would a brown doctor come to Canada anymore when they're up against this terrible stereotype? They'd rather go to USA, Australia or just stay back in Indian metro cities instead.\n\nCanada shot itself in the foot with disgusting immigration policies, but unfortunately, people are going to blame the immigrants instead of blaming the policy makers who are profiting off this madness.

Logistics companies are the main issue as Sask is a problem maker as well issuing zero license for temp foreign farm workers just after the Humboldt crash. Highly skilled immigrants from India are always welcome anywhere, like in the US where they have added tlmutiple times to the economy. Canada, unfortunately, is importing from Punjab ,low skilled labour that eats into Candian quality of life. These youth from Punjab can't integrate and is a burden to the economy, as they rake up zero value adding jobs. Truck driving and RE realtor don't add any value to the economy. Thanks the NDP and Liberals for encouraging import of Punjabis, who they turn into their vote bank.

As an immigrant with elect eng'g degree and work experience in power plant at international ship(containers and bulk carriers) as onboard electrician. There's nothing wrong with immigration as long as it's controlled, people enter legally and do what it takes to adapt to the host countries' values. I'm from India too; I fully support nationalism, irrespective of the country; it isn't racist, as the media likes to push that narrative. The sense of community is reducing because I think there's this wall between ethnic groups. The only way to tear down the wall is to have the immigrants adapt to the host country's culture and values.\n\nI have a cousin who moved to England, and she bought a home in a predominantly white neighbourhood. As somebody who has been hit before, I have zero empathy for the one who caused the crash. In my case it was luckily just injuries to myself requiring physio and some rehab but others aren't as lucky. People need to be held accountable for mistakes they make. None of this slap on the wrist crap, if you're going to drive you need to understand what the machine you're piloting can do to both you and other people if you're being careless. The person who hit me has a higher insurance bill now, so I'm sure she'll never hit anybody again and the problem is 100% solved.
