If I were rich I STILL wouldn't want to live in Toronto/GTA. I'd move immediately to Tokyo or some other part of Japan. Even if you could afford to live in the GTA why would you when there's so many nicer and more safe and peaceful places to live in? \n\nI've seen enough of Japan to know that that would be the place I'd love to live in. Somewhere where you don't have to worry about crime and violence happening in your city everyday. No shootings or stabbings or robberies or carjackings or scams etc. and where the vast majority of people are nice, kind and friendly and non-violent and non-criminal.\n\nThere's a Twitch livestreamer that I watch regularly that lives in Tokyo and he regularly leaves his $3000+ bike all over the city almost without a care in the world. All he has to do to secure his bike is to lock his bike wheel to the frame without even having to attach it to a pole or bike stand etc. so that no one steals it. That is when I knew that Japan is the place for me. When you can leave your expensive stuff alone and come back and its still there. That is the kind of society I wish to live in and be apart of.

You are very lucky to be so gorgeous and able to work/model/get sponsors to pay for your lifestyle, and not have to live in Canada. Canada as a whole, the Western capitalistic society, as a whole as become extremely greedy. The interest rates in the Western countries went down to almost 0%, causing all the capitalists to borrow this free-money and gobbled up all the real estate, and they now dictate the rental market. Corporations as well as individuals who bought real estate before 2010 used their equity and got into the real estate flip-game and ABNB, and they are all rich. And yet they still gouge renters because they can. I would also leave Canada. But I am stuck here because I am poor. Canada/Toronto will not change. Once you're used to eating filet mignon, you will never settle for meat loaf. These landlords will never lower their rents as long as they hold all the cards. 10 years from now, Canada's birth rate will be negative because people who pay $700,000 for 500sq ft condos do not have kids. Nor can they afford them.

A lot of people are definitely NOT okay with working 40 hrs a week(not counting unpaid lunches) for basically pennies, only having 2 weeks per year minimum for any paid time off and having to live paycheck to paycheck just to have a roof over their heads. They probably don’t appreciate losing their jobs for trying to form unions to advocate for the slaves who can’t even afford to get their car or house fixed, while watching spoiled rich kids living in luxury online and they probably wish their government would take a stand against these corrupt, rich people.

Until you experience the horrors they have gone through don’t throw stones in glass houses the immigration system has been broken for years if people waited until it’s their time no one would realistically get through since there is a 20 year backlog and children who were brought here 20 years ago have been thrown out because they themselves were still not approved a decade or more later. Part of the issue is red state lax gun laws allowing cartels easy access to heavy machinery that can be taken back across the border. Do you really think corruption isn’t running all the way to the top and that the American government has not helped worsen the issues when any of these countries want control of their own fossil fuel. Consider how many rich people get to jump in line or border patrol on both sides being able to keep out legal crossings if you can’t pay their fees. If you fight the cartel military or government you will find yourself dead imprisoned and or tortured and if they are fleeing to save their family and willing to leave their whole life behind to go to a country whose language they don’t speak do you really think they can walk all the way to the border wait in a single file line hope they can request asylum and then wait 40 years to maybe get a call back for a hearing these ppl are forced into a rock and a hard place and for the majority of American politics most politicians have no interest on really figuring out a comprehensive and compassionate system to help get immigrants out of dangerous situations America barely cares about it’s homeless citizens veterans mentally or physically Ill every country is having serious issues because often leaders are really only looking out for themselves

I think one of the biggest things he didn’t mention is the gap between rich and poor in African countries is huge. People will always come to the west to try and make a ‘better’ life for themselves. The African countries I have been to are beautiful the people for the most part are welcoming but like the west there are many challenges and poverty and corruption is in Africa just as much as the US, Canada, Europe and the rest of the world. Wherever you live try to live the best way you can we are not on this earth forever

The problem with Canada? Too much socialism, regulation and taxation.\nAs the government fails at socialism (as all governments do) , they start to spend more, getting increasingly greedy for people's money. Aside from what was said (making more money), other reasons why many immigrants would fight tooth and nail to get U.S. citizenship are the fact that the U.S. has a bigger and wealthier population, which translates to American companies getting more investment money. And in turn, are alot more willing to invest more of that money into their employers. Other underlying reasons include an overall warmer climate, rich pay less taxes, and the fact that an immigrant finally obtaining U.S. citizenship is considered a status symbol. \n\nAnd there are other reasons why Canada government is far more immigrant friendly. The government wants to increase their country's population to at least 100 million, and that isn't possible with Canada being one of the numerous countries experiencing a decline in baby's being born. And the new immigrants are to hopefully prevent the time in the future when Canada has too many old people, but not enough caretakers and young people to tax.

It solely depends upon you where you want to invest money, whether it be mutual funds, stocks, real estates, safe govt schems. Well, i'm Canadian, (Montreal / Quebec) but am also a transsexual woman, and for the LGBTQ community, practicly all of the States are in the red flag. I can't go in florida, or Texas, or a lot of the States, because my life will be in danger... Well, California is open, New York +/-, and a few States, but you have laws to break us, if we are not into your religious team, we are in danger, even if we are, i'm a transsexual woman, i am in danger, and with Trump, we are more in danger in the States... The United States of America is dangerous, everyone has a f...k gun in there pockets and are ready to use it, and effectivly, the health condition, well, it's bad, how many people can't pay for health care, a lot, and they died... It's not just that, it's also the mentality of the Americans, you thing everything it's yours, the world is yours, but it's not true, we are only passager on this planet... As an American, I'm sorry our private healthcare system has taken your doctors. What's even more scary about that statistic is many Americans can't even afford the doctors we have, so at least Canadians have equal healthcare opportunities even though they have to wait. Many Americans don't even get the luxury to wait. If only America caught up to public healthcare policies the global system would be more fair and we'd have people becoming doctors because they love it, not because it makes them rich.

the way you paint Canada at the end is very untrue - refugees are treated horribly here. when we took in the people from Syria they were put in homeless shelters and weren't given food or proper clothing (it was winter and -30c out). as of typing this there are camps/tents set up in the streets of downtown toronto for refugees we just brought in that have no where to go. we brought them here in a hopes of a better life and made them apart of the ever growing homeless population. we also just deported over 700 Indian students who came to Canada under fraudulent circumstances. maybe if you are rich life is different (thats really all you cover) but if you are an International student or a refugee this is not the place to be - we take in so many International students because they have to pay 3x to 4x more than someone born here. do more research into your videos please this and the other comment i left are all breaking or top stories in canada not hard to learn and could of added so much to this topic instead of painting canada in a near utopian image

*Excuse you*, Canada is a BIGGER, better version of what the USA is trying to be. BIGGER. More land mass up here, and it's really nice when it's not snowing. I work in tech and need to mention the negatives of H1B even though having tons of highly skilled workers would be nice for country.\n\nThe first issue is that H1B workers are happy with accepting lower pay for relevant position so long as they get opportunity to get a company sponsor. This causes a downward pressure on wages obviously.\n\nSecond is they are also VERY obedient Caste like stuff going on between Indians or absolute silence from East Asians on anything that needs to change. This causes management expectations from workers to be skewed against citizen workers.\n\nThird, they are only here short time to earn as much as possible, even some I know shared a 1 bedroom between 2 people just to hoard as much as they make cause when they go back to their country it means they are rich. So they work 24/7 and causing company expectations to be unrealistic for citizen workers.

Canada has starbucks and mcdonalds as well. I enjoy not having guns being the number killer of kids, not having literal PRO NAZI groups rising like crazy, and not insane amounts of violence and hate crimes based on what people look like.\nAlso, IN America, you pay more for much worse outcomes. No never nada …Canada is beautiful. The gun culture in the U.S. is insane along with the refusal to create a health care system that protects everyone, rich or poor. Our education system in Canada is superior to that of your country. Our political system is superior to that of your country and although there are some loopholes that need attention, we on the whole can not be bought. I live in a province that wants to emulate your culture and I find it repulsive. There are amazing people in your country but the minority of misfits give you a huge black eye. My Grandpa was born in New England and one day, when sanity becomes the norm, I want to visit his birth place.

I’m with my fellow Canadians, I’ll visit the US (although even then, it’s beginning to look less and less ideal) but over my dead body would I live there. \nThe fact you have become desensitized and don’t discuss school shootings is baffling. 4 or 5 years ago, there was a shooting where I live in Canada. The whole city was on lock down. I believe one elderly woman died, and 3 were injured. The person was caught, arrested, and is rotting away in jail. It hasn’t happened since. People still remember it. My little sister and I were scared, so we hid in my bedrooms closet. (It was on the second floor, and there was no way anybody could break in and get up there easily.)\n\nHealthcare is a huge issue. My family has a long line of health issues, and with that in mind, the risk is just to obscene.\n\nI am a woman. The fact that laws are being stripped away from us by old white men who have no idea what it is like to be a woman in the states is horrifying. \n\nGun culture. It’s near-on impossible or at least it’s incredibly difficult to get guns here. Owning guns isn’t respected. When people die from being shot, it’s remembered and spoken about, even years later. At least to me, it seems you care more for your Guns and the rights to own and use them, then Women who want to have bodily autonomy.\n\nYour political issues. I don’t even know what to say at this point beyond. The entire senate is rich old straight white men who like to make laws about groups they aren’t part of, and strip laws away from others. You've got to understand the socio-economic breakdown which is very similar in the United States and Canada. 1% are wealthy, 4% are rich, 5% are professional class, 20% are middle class, 30% are blue collar or skilled working class, 30% are working poor and 10% are poor/economically insecure. Start from there. People shouldn't let politics or people make up their minds.

I would never live there. A teacher friend of mine moved from Nova Scotia with her professor husband. She taught French at Virginia Tech. She and some of her college students were murdered by a gunman who burst into her morning class. Way too much gun violence there for me. Way too much political division. Way too much Christian conservative right evangelical ideology. Way too much disparity between the rich and the poor. Way too many people in general. Way too much emphasis on an individual version of freedom that does not take into consideration the greater good of others in society. I have two cousins who live out there, however. They have lived there for many years. One is a wealthy plastic surgeon in Florida and the other is retired in New England but also well off. She just proudly got her American citizenship, in fact. They love their lives there and would never move back to Canada. It really depends on the values of the person.

As a Canadian, I would consider moving to the US if I was already independently wealthy. The US is hands down the best place in the world to be rich. Canada is not perfect, but it's better for regular people.

And certainly not pension funds before they were dissolved in favor of the 401k, and the social security politicians are constantly working to cut while ever increasing the retirement age past what most people will never live to now that 45% of our water is tainted with PFOAs that will have everyone born today die of liver cancer before the age of 65.\n\nIt was CAPITALISM that made this country!
