From your comments, i hear that you feel safe because your health insurance is purchased through your employer. How safe is your health care if you loose your job? In Canada, we still get health care. Our heath care is covered through our taxes. Like road upkeep, schools etc.. Even our ambulace care cost will be covered, if you can not afford it. But, what happens when you reach retirement? Is your health care free? I understand people in the US work way passed retirement age just to have health care. So unfair.

A child brought up in violence cannot know that there is another way of living in a family. So you can't know why this refusal from the Canadians until you have experienced it. Your comment about living in a small community makes you feel safe and family friendly. We (Canadian) seem weird, since we do not support the slightest killing of children in any school in the country. This thought that it is not with us, until... I find it sad because it will only deploy this aggressiveness if it is not stopped and I do not see your policy being concerned about it, rather the opposite

As a French Canadian im aware of some discrimination about the funding of our community, School dont really get the money for new infrastructure. some of our building becoming more old and not really great to use i still like my place thought and i will never consider to move to the USA. Sorry for the American's that can be hurt by those words but i prefer the safety of my family and my community then having some huge racial, hate, gun, violence going in the US.\n\nYes Canada as flaw but still we can gladly say that we feel way more safe and more secure about our bills than anybody in the US. i got some medical condition that would totally have bankrupt my family and myself for decades if i was born in the USA.\n\nIf some American family or some couples that want a great life come to Canada we will gladly accept you as you are :) if you met some jerk in Canada im sorry for that.\n\nSo Tyler would you consider moving to Canada ? =D

Most of these responses seemed to be from left-leaning people in Canada. British Columbia is NDP, socialist leaning, in other words. I'm from Alberta. We recently had an election here and made it abundantly clear we do not want the NDP running our province. We have a gun culture here and won't give up our arms. I didn't read one mention of the PM in Canada. Yet, walk around and all you hear about is the hatred people have of him and the division he has caused. The leader of the NDP sides with him. I actually have dual citizenship, so harbor no bad feelings to the US. I just don't go where there are a lot of left-leaning Dems/Liberals. Alberta to Texas is almost like not leaving Alberta, just going to the ranch down the way and visiting family.

We'd thought about it. On balance, I think we're settled in Canada and late in life so that re-starting would not be practical but ... we'd thought and talked about it. The potential freedoms we feel like we're losing, here, now. (It's always complex ;-) )\n\nCanada's health care system/financing/administration is having problems too. We aren't subject, the same way, to individual medical bankruptcy but the system is VERY broken.\n\nWe've had shootings on the streets lately ... innocent bystanders being hit. \n\nCanada's a great (and imperfect) place. \n\nIt's not better or worse (IMO). It's different.

First I feel for these people. They want to live in the greatest country in the world. Because of the current president we are in a bad situation where he has made it hard for the citizens that where born here to make a living let alone any new immigrants.\nOur military needs to protect our borders as they do in other countries and any illegal immigrants needs to be deported back to their country and do it the right way it’s an act of terrorism to invade our country the economic strain that it puts on the US is enormous like a bleeding artery that you can’t get tied off. Instead of trying to change our country and ruin it they should put that effort into fixing their own. We need to fix our country first. It would take no less than 5 years of no entry to fix ours at the rate they have been pouring in our own infrastructure can’t handle the influx of people. Mr. President I beg you save our country before you destroy it quite trying to be everyone’s friend be as a president should a leader and protector of the greatest country in the world. Please stop destroying it and disrespecting those that came before you.

Lack of affordable housing -- lack of housing in general -- is the main reason people already living here are being priced out and why so many refugees and immigrants cannot afford the cost when they move here. When these people come to Canada for a better life and/or to escape the suffering that they were living in, they cannot bring their homes with them. It is the government's responsibility at all levels to ensure that these newcomers have a place to go when they come here. A homeless shelter should not be the answer. Buy up office spaces and convert them (if safe to do so with whatever codes need to be met) into affordable housing units. For years we've been seeing hundreds of news articles about vacancies in office buildings being at all time highs, yet only a handful of them are being converted. 500,000 people a year entering a country where there isn't enough housing for them (let alone the people living here already) is irresponsible on the government's part. If this is your pledge, at least give these people a better life and not send them to shelters or onto the streets as soon as they arrive. If Canada is to truly be a safe haven for immigrants and refugees escaping their hardships, it's paramount that the government does what it can to make these people actually feel like their life will change for the better. I'm all for immigration since it helps the economy and knowing that Canada can put people in a better position for themselves and their families, but it's the lack of preparation from the governments that makes me question their pledge in this way.

I feel for them, but we are overwhelmed with our own problems in USA. Hope they can find a way to fix their own countries while we try to fix ours.

Although I do feel for these people, we don't even take care of our veterans let alone our own people. We have seniors unable to afford basic needs including food and medications.Conditions are really bad for many Native Americans and that is also a major issue. We need to take care of our own first. There are legal ways to enter the US.

This is happening all over the world… I’m also African American . I’ve be going through the worst disrespect dealing with these white peoples in the predominantly white neighborhoods. The way they act, he would think slavery still existed. I stand tall with her. I feel her pain, the harassment, the stereotyping, the uncomfortable, feeling no one should have to go through that when will the world start judging by character, and not by sight I’ll wait I have this problem just simply filling out my application. The Caucasian lady was so rude. She talk to me as if I was a child and then when I cut into her and told her I didn’t like her energy to step away from me and get someone else to help me I was wrong for speaking out, as a people we have to do better or should I say they ?

Not that many people in the developed world are shopping for an alternative country. So I imagine most Americans and most Canadians will be content with their nation of birth. But as a Canadian, I have to admit I'm a bit scared of the US. The level of violent crime down there is such that _many_ (not all) people feel they need guns for personal security. American prison rates testify to a level of desperation and alienation that is _not_ appealing to me. I don't want to live somewhere where owning a deadly weapon seems like a sensible idea! Also, as a struggling creative/entertainment person, I can't guarantee I'll be consistently earning good money – there are plenty of lean times in my biz. I don't want to be repeatedly worrying about my health coverage disappearing, whenever work dries up. I've never had that type of anxiety in Canada, and I sure appreciate that. Btw, although the Canadian health system is a long way from perfect, I've always managed to get appropriate care, according to my needs, quickly enough, at no cost to myself. And currently, I really like my GP _and_ my specialists!

I’m an independent that usually votes Democrat, but the border should be a nonpartisan issue.\n\nAmerica is not like Europe. European countries are the sizes of states, and they have the European Union to cross govern.\n\nAmerica does not have a relationship with Canada or Mexico like any of the EU countries.\n\nWe cannot be letting this happen. I feel for the people suffering in Mexico, I truly do. But mass illegal immigration is not the solution.\n\nNo matter how bad things get in America, I will never just walk over to Canada and demand a job.\n\nOur societies have to function on a system, and that system demands legal immigration.\n\nWe have to do something, but when it’s a bridge like this…I don’t know what ethical solutions there would be. \n\nMaybe an electrical fence? The thought of a child being electrocuted because they were pushed into that fence is devastating to me; it would be heartbreaking to see anyone injured that way.\n\nWe can’t hurt these people, that’s not right. But we have to find some way of keeping them from crossing illegally.\n\nA wall, a mote, an electric fence—honesty, I don’t see how any of those would keep people out…\n\nIt’s just an awful mess. Forget Democrats versus Republicans. This is an issue every American should recognize.

This is sickening to see, i feel bad for those that came here the correct way and got their citizenship. Ive read alot of comments that say well if the usa didnt have such stringent rules to become a citizen, then this wouldnt happen. Thats like applying for a job without giving them any information about yourself, and expecting to get that job with no experience. Is it so bad these people should learn about our history and culture, need to be bi lingual and go through the entire vetting process? The answer is they should because if we went to anyother country, we would be expected to learn about their culture. You cant even live in cananda unless you have a certain amount of money and takes years to become a citizen, why shouldnt our border be any different? The fact of the matter is our government needs to wake up, put politics aside and address the issues. I have no problem with people coming here, it they need to become legel and pay taxes like everyone else. We are sick of paying for people that do nothing to contribute to our economy. If this video doesnt offend you, then you are part of the problem.

Hold on now I will agree white Canadians are passive aggressive (sneaky) she called it but as a black American who has lived and worked for 28 plus years in Canada (Ontario) Alberta is the Texas of Canada so hill Billys rednecks not the most sophisticated people in the country I’ve never felt discriminated against and have always found great employment here . As a person of Colour in a mostly white country it’s not realistic to not expect some bigoted white peoples it’s just not, their the majority so their always going to be that way. But overall I never feel unsafe here in Ontario very diverse area lots of Muslims, asians, native Americans Africans and tons of Carribeans from all over the West Indies . It’s a problem white people struggle with but compared to my home country I prefer Canada, here you’ve got a chance where back in the states it’s literally dangerous to be too dark of different, sorry for her experience leave Alberta come to Ontario, you’ve got a safe home here.

This is nothing new. Ever since the beginning of time Caucasians have always felt this way. It's in their blood, their DNA. They feel Superior to everyone else of color. They see us people of color as inferior. They think they're entitled to everything on this earth. So hateful and so wrong. This will never change or go away. Just like the white blood cells that don't like the red blood cells and vise versa. It's a sad part of life. We don't live in a perfect world. It was never meant to be perfect either. Humans are the root of all evil.

Even tho I don’t think this is correct, U.S people luckily finds themselves on a good position to see this just as people making a tantrum to enter the U.S, proudly I say I’m Mexican American and I’ve lived in Mexico and Brasil as well, non of those Latin American countries I lived is as bad as Venezuela and even like that I’ve seen some very messed up shit, they are countries with a huge culture and beautiful but on the lowest levels it’s a pretty dark place to be…so for the USA people here that is heavily throwing shit, be some kind of human try to understand at least , I get it, I don’t think this is the way neither, but they are not just people trying to invade to take over or whatever, I even saw a comment saying that they should shoot those Venezuelans, the world is a pretty messed up thing now, and luckily or unluckily we don’t really know a shit about it, they are DESPERATE it seem like they were violent and most probably some of them tried to get violent but most of them is just desperate people trying to have it better in their only and one only lives..worst yet, if you have a kid, imagine how worried would you feel for not being able to provide your kid with a good life… see the people in the front for example, they were people begging and crying, is being desperate for having something better, and this is a really biiiiiiig subject with a lot of issues, wrongs, misunderstanding… you don’t know how bad is going in Venezuela, not even me, but I can imagine it cuz I know how bad some people have it in Mexico, and they don’t know how them illegally getting into the US is going to affect the US, I try to get all points so I don’t think this is correct, this kind of events shouldn’t be happening, but I also understand, just to put it in perspective, I’ve talked with some people from Venezuela and they’ve told me some crazy stuff, quick example. McDonalds something most American people know …for one person only it can be around 15 - 20 bucks, in Venezuela, and I think minimum wage rn is around 6.15 bucks and if it’s good it can be around 20 - 30 A MONTH, now apply this formula to EVERYTHING, housing, bills, expenses and I think things in Venezuela for a little bit better not that long ago,so it was worst than what I just told you, imagine you finish college you have somehow of a decent life and for things you don’t understand and no one advise you of, next week your job, money is not even half of the value it had last week, imagine if it was you and your family, your kids…I don’t have kids but I know my mom would’ve done anything for trying and give me not even a luxurious life, but a kinda decent life, and I know most of people would’ve done the same, and not only for your kids, also your mom, dad, sisters, brothers and even YOURSELF…again, I’m not saying this is correct or it’s not I’m just saying at the end our surrounding make us do whatever we are doing….I get you not being okay with this, but try to be comprensible and not go straight into hate for this people. \n\nUnfortunately I wouldn’t imagine anything to solve this problem and I hope something better comes for the entire world right now …but I just doubt it…

Let them stay on the street. I don't feel bad for any of them. They would not get by with this with any other country. This is unfair to Americans and the people who came here and did it the right way. Such disrespect

Some are trying to reunite with family, some are fleeing poverty and feel America is the best place to come up but it's those that are fleeing violence that concern me. We can't take on the world in one nation only to have some immigrants globally thumb their noses up at our traditions, rights we had to fight for, housing we need etc. The sad fact is running to America isn't the Answer. We fight the Middle East who will never change but we need to turn our attention to Mexico, the island nations and South America. It doesn't matter if people who won't change are overwhelming our nation. The violence you escape still comes here. It's getting to the point of entitlement. I've known immigrants who had to pay out-of-state fees while living in America until they could gain a visa but those from the south refute this and demand in state tuition or the same rights as those who took classes and became legal citizens the right way. So much violence from gangs and the cartel but we can't help by just opening the borders. It's time the South changed and took out the gangs and cartel for good to make a better life . Moreover, greedy leaders need to be taken out if necessary so these people can have a better future. The south and certain islands can't really say America should mind its business because these invasions are our business. When we are flooded with ethnic groups of people it becomes America's business nationwide.

The older generation gets mad at them but I kinda feel bad for them. Venezuela is a very poor and dangerous country. Imagine being so desperate to leave your country that you travel all the way through Mexico just for a chance to get in the US

I feel sorry for none of them there's a proper way to enter this country you have to do it.

We will love to help them but at this time we have people of our own Americans whom sleep's in the streets like I'm sorry to say this but they can't enter our country by force now we're nice but not when people act stupid because the way they act it makes us feels like they are taking over our country and that's something we will never allow it to happen not on our watch at this moment we're going through hardship we needs to help ourselves our people it may sound selfish to say that but if they were in our shoe and we were doing what they are doing they would've shot us out of their board our own people sleeps in the middle of high heat in the streets

The hell with this…break out the tear gas and rubber bullets. Show these aholes they just can’t shove their way into OUR country! I feel for the people that were born into bad situations, but that’s not all this is! Like or hate his personality, our true president would have had most of the immigration system and problems fixed by now….assuming The Far Left Democrats didn’t keep slowing him down. Are there any non far left Democrats left anymore?

That’s not the right way by force only gets everything worse on them people think is just to come here and everything will get fix. It takes a lot of work and years to build a good life. I think honestly I will not risk my family the way they did bringing my kids. Is a long way to put em in danger the good people chose to stay I their country even if life is hard they don’t put family in danger. I feel very sad for all and we pray for everyone I hope god have mercy In all of us

I live in Calgary, Alberta 3 hours from Edmonton and what she is saying been a fact. WS especially feel slighted with the heavy immigration yearly as if they are being pushed out or replaced. I mostly do gig work so I don't have to deal with job market as is. They have alot of immigrants with 1 or 2 degrees working security, house cleaning with no way out and paying taxes to sustain their aging Canadian Caucasian population (45-80 year old) . It is in my opinion your typical ponzi scheme type hustle. The good paying jobs are given to them folks while you import highly educated populations from other countries and keep them at dead-end jobs like the US.

There’s nothing more ignorant then when people like this come to our country whether legally or illegally and then while living here they wave a big damn flag of their country of origin and talk about how great and awesome their country of origin is…..oh yeah? Then why did you run away from it? What a bunch of ignorant dumb assess…..if your gonna be here at least don’t be so proudly waving your country’s flag like if that peace of shit country did anything for you. This is America and yes America is founded by immigrants of all types but while this country gives you everything the only flag that you should be proudly waving is the American flag and nothing else, or at the very least the American flag should be the biggest flag you should be waving and try to learn some English, that way you don’t feel like people are taking advantage of you. If you were grateful and somewhat smart the last thing you wanna do is wave some other flag other then the American flag.

I’m truly sorry there are tears because these people have come a long way and were lead to believe—due to the liberal open-border policies of the current U.S. regime—that their border crossing experience was assured, that it was in fact a done deal … and further, that they would be showered with free lodging, free food and medical care, baby formula, new phones, and a monthly stipend … JUST for crossing into the United States illegally. That Joe Biden —who doesn’t even acknowledge all of his OWN grandchildren—was somehow (because it’s true if you believe it, right?) their long-lost and hitherto unknown grandfather, their abuelo and dispenser of largesse, wide smiles, and hair-sniffs.\n Why did he throw his arms wide and ask you to come hither, then, if he didn’t really want you to come in once you got here?\nPerhaps the capriciousness of old age, of ?dementia, of the intense pressures of ill-gotten high office and a forced recognition of the tears of those whose families have fallen prey to the criminal element ever-present among border-crossers?\n Why? You want MORE reasons? \nBecause the man needs VOTES and the country needs extreme disruption (as well as the impoverishment of existing social programs of Americans who will NOT vote for him) in order to increase his own brand of “law” enforcement martially throughout the nation and he’s gotta PREPARE—y’know? \n I am certain of Joe Biden’s sorrow that you were inconvenienced. After all, you did feel it was your “right” to get in, and a few short weeks ago Joe would have agreed with you. But timing is everything in this current business of dirty politicking and unfortunately you missed the unannounced cut-off. Anyway, this is President Biden’s own way of establishing what he likes to call “equity,” and isn’t it beautiful? Again, the President would like to convey his sympathies for your present inconvenience, and if you are ever in the area again in the future, please attempt to stop by. Perhaps at that time it will be a more propitious moment to receive you properly. \n Bye, now. Do remember that Kamala and Joe love you. Be safe!

Government workers get paid way to much in Canada and have to much power.. teachers and fire fighter make 100K with amazing pensions and it’s way harder to do in the private sector.. I remember in high school everyone wanted to be a teacher because it’s how you get rich… also there are thousands of government workers getting way overpaid… are only saving grace is foreigners coming in and starting business… really feels like USA will own is shortly

In these kind of comparaisons, it's always important to keep in mind that Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. Each province and territory have their own way of doing things. So it's pretty much like 13 countries into 1. One thing in Ontario is not gonna be the same as in BC for example. So, whatever someone experiences in Ontario will not be the same elsewhere. Like taxes for example, it's different from 1 province to another. So, it's best for someone who wants to move to Canada to do their research on each province because they do things differently from one another. \n\nAlso in terms of traveling to countries that are closer, yes the UK gets a point because all the other European countries are closer. But in Canada, when you leave a province for another one it sometimes feels like you left for another country ? . Besides the US and Mexico, Canadian also go to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Brasil, Argentina, Turks and Caicos(lots of Canadian go there that at one point the island was even considering becoming the 11th province of Canada ?) .\n\nIn terms of diversity, it's not that much different from the UK. All the big cities are very diverse, just like the UK. Also, Toronto is the most diverse city in the world.

Nations competing for power and status has been what the history of the world has been mostly about. There are those that are obsessed with competition and are willing to die for power and status. This is the strongest motivation for the innovation, production and exchange of goods and services and is also why the best competitors cannot trust each other and feel the need to deceive, fool, cheat, spy and lie to each other and causes them to build weapons that can basically kill most of the life on this planet and damage most of the environment that can sustain life. \n
\nMany nations are comfortable with their lower levels of power and status performance and do not think allocating more resources to move up the ladder will be of much benefit. \n
\nPresently, if the economy is not growing, it is considered a failure. This type of thinking cannot go on uninterrupted on a finite planet with finite resources. There needs to be flexibility in the system for the economy to expand and contract and for a contraction to be considered normal and not a problem or a failure. The contraction needs to be just as prosperous and productive as the expansion. For this type of thinking to work, there needs to be some new economic theories and models developed along with some new types of money and financial systems based on economic sustainability not on economic growth and money inflation. \n
\nI am sure there will be some Nobel prizes awarded to the academics, economists, corporate CEO's and business leaders and of course politicians and government officials that can figure out how to make a sustainable economy work and how not to devalue the nation’s money in the process.\n
\nThe way this can begin and improve peace and fairness at the same time is when our business and government leaders along with our brightest and smartest among us including the most wealthy among us can learn to be much more truthful, honest and trustworthy and can start to understand that the wellbeing of others benefits everyone and is the bases for morality.

it's funny I moved to Canada a little over a year ago and I want to move back to Australia for some of the reasons you want to leave Australia and more. Housing affordability here is a pipe dream unless you like living near mountains and want a laid back life like the life in Perth, in Calgary. But Calgary's job market is not great and that pretty much extends to every province except Ontario and BC. Living cost in Canada is very high... compared to what I experienced in AU, this is more expensive than living in Sydney. (I live in Toronto but this extends to Vancouver as well.) The healthcare system is weak, inefficient and inconvenient. Bureaucracy is again very slow, inconvenient and in some cases so backwards. Banking is not great, super inconvenient, not people-centric, inefficient and very much backward imo.. work-life balance or quality of life is way better in AU. Infrastructure development is slow and not great at all for a world-class country and personally, I expected better from Toronto.. (I do understand why it is the way it is right now, some justified reasons but some not so much) Things I do give props to CA... Diversity and inclusiveness is not just marketing slogan like in AU.. I don't feel like an outsider here... Its incredible. Job market is here much better than in AU. If you're moving from a country like AU, you will feel how capitalism here is made to make more money out of you every step of the way. But also, you will see how you can use that system to make alot of money. I think Canada is a great place to live if you're an entrepreneur or business person and making money is a primary requirement. But if you're someone who loves quality of life and work-life balance and want to probably own a good house, right now CA is not there. Also this doesn't mean CA isn't great, its fantastic... but compared to AU, canada comes short in many fronts. Also I love the weather here even if we have a pretty long winter.

This is definitely a time where I love the comments. OMG I feel same as all I wrote. How dare they fight to get over here like they US citizens and belong here. Why they forcing themselves over here. I'm sorry but are we the only connecting country???. We got way too much of our own shidt going on. They trying to bully their way over here. So do we need the military or our prisoners out there building that daMn wall???

We all know none of us who might have a negative say on what we see but at the same time none of us chose to be where we are, just imagine if its you right there and they are the ones on this side saying all the negative things. I just feel sorry and I hope there ways we can help settle the problems they face.

Hispanic people have just as much right to be in America as anyone else \nYeah there's not a government on Earth that would after your attempt to force your way through the border like that not make you answer before it a nation doesn't have to explain itself for protecting its border but you got to you got to go through channels it might be unpleasant but I don't feel like people are from Mexico have any less right than anyone else to come here my ancestors came over Ellis Island you know it's it's just a matter of going through the process

I respect the people who come from literal dirt and fought their way into this country legally. Not the ones who feel entitled like this to just insert themselves into our country illegally.

Goosebumps.. wt we try to escape. N have to go threw feeling it may b the only hope to take that chance.. some of y'all have no idea what that's like .. nd it shows .. plenty of space we're just set up off greed nd selfish ways of operation, among our own society. Which is built up from everyone around the world but Hispanics have been in the land Texas nd California was originally theirs .. man life is weird , so much gets fuzzy n blemished we don't see the mere existence in the eyes of some these ppl .. the countless ppl that die trying the screams .. the treachery.. \n\nWe're all one ..
