It’s pretty crazy, insane even, that national security has been politicized to the point that one side of the political aisle is willing to let criminals without proper citizenship run rampant on the streets while one side who enforces what is simply a normal, common-sense standard is seen as extreme. Lived in Canada for almost 40 years. Worked in USA for 5 years 25 years ago. I did make a lot more money in USA then, luckily, I was in my 20s and almost never seen a doctor in my 5 years in the USA. \nThank God I didn't get into any accident while there. \n\nIn general, I observed many people in the USA are not good neighbors. Simple observation, ex you drive and merge into a lane in a busy SF Bay Highway you need to fight hard to get into a lane. In BC, Canada, merging lanes is very orderly, each vehicle takes turn merging into a lane one entering from one lane and then another vehicle from another lane with respect and consideration. \nIn the USA, I think it is this brutal mentality translates into policy in health care and education, you are not responsible to help your community in any way and take while you can for yourself.

I was in the Missouri when i got sick. I drove home and was diagnosed with a brainstem tumour. 10 hr surgery, 4 surgerical teams, icu, wks hospitalization. Months of rehab and homecare. The school even arranged a cab to take my 5 yr old to school. I have seen bills for pts who didn't make it home and had to have surgery in the US before being repatriated back to the icu i worked. It was an eye opener to see what they were charged for a box of kleenex, a catheter, an iv bag etc. I would have lost everything if i had to have surgery in the US. \nMy sister is currently in hosp in the US, and she is getting good care. I drove down last time she was in, and i was impressed by the lovely large CCU bay, but, hey patients are paying for it. She had a fancy postop CABG pillow to splint her chest when she had to coughed. It had a cute surgical heart on it. I am sure it cost $$. In Canada, we give our pts a regular pillow, some iv morphine and tlc when it hurts when they cough, no fancy cartoon pillow, but no bill either lol. She's a senior on medicaid so she's not going into massive debt or dying in her home to avoid going to the hospital.\n \nI have been travelling to the states since 1976 as a young child. I love the states, I have a lot of family there. My dad lived there until his death. My great grandma immigrated and died in Montana. This news is unfortunate but we cannot deny the fact that majority of Indians lack civic sense. The poor and the lower middle class who lack civic sense are not the problem. Sorry for the prejudice, but they rarely plan to travel abroad. The problem is with the middle class (and even rich) Indians who have the money to travel abroad but lack even basic civic sense.\n\nThis is very unfortunate, but I have seen this with my own eyes.

This is where our PM’s call for domestic travel more including destination weddings than foreign tours. Many who prefer to travel abroad might not have travelled internally at all or a little travelled. Many may not have seen beautiful North Eastern states namely Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura. Connectivity was problem once not now. Many might not have gone to Andaman and\n Laksha Dweep islands. Sikkim, Goa, Kashmir and south India offers more and cheaper. Foreign travel is ok for business trips and not definitely for pleasure. Bharat is more beautify and cheaper and let us burn our money here instead of getting humiliated through rejected visa stamps besides losing visa fee paid for visiting foreign destinations.

Most of it is due to bad so called visa expert agents in India. They haven’t even been to Nepal and they help educated people fill their visa applications for western countries. The day people start doing their own applications with honesty the rejection rate will start to drop. I have seen my own friends granted US visas when they only had 2000 rupees in their bank account only because they were honest. Last year I did my dad UK visa and when the asked his monthly income I wrote 0 and he still got approved. Don’t fall for the trap guys.

Shouldn't these ppl be held accountable too, especially when they are fortunate enough to have the means to visit foreign lands? I have seen first hand the way some of our ppl behave and try to twist and manipulate everything to their benefit, lacking basic respect.

The reason for Indian visa being in the 81st rank is the number of people who want to migrate....other countries cannot allow lakhs of Indians who wish to relocate to their country....on the other hand, countries like Kosovo or Burkina Faso are tiny countries by population and have a very low rate of migration to other countries....Indian large-scale migration can be seen as a threat by other countries....

Let me tell you, as an Indian, the rejection may be the way our Indian fellow beings behave. I have seen many videos where the Indians were acting so disgusting.

Nope: factor 1: Behave, Respect and show some culture! \nI have lived and travelled many nations. Being an Indian I myself, I have never seen any individual from the countries this lady mentioned posing a strike in any of these countries mentioned rejecting visas. \nThe more you try to impose your selfless behaviour and disrespect the more visas they will reject!
