Isn't this CLEAR EVIDENCE that a significant number of international students only come for work and immigration and not for education? I'm not saying they are doing anything wrong; people will do whatever based on the incentives available to them. Work and an eventual Canadian passport are just too good a deal to pass up for many international students.

When Indians go to a country whether it was for vacation, study, work, or whatever the case is, they will automatically claim the land as their own and demand their rights.

My story is similar to yours Alina, moved to Canada at 15 y.o., lived there for 20 yrs and now moved away. It's been hard, Canada has been the place I'd call home and thinking that I may never come back to live there is a little heart wrenching. Looking forward to learning what place you picked for yourself. From my experience, it will not be easy whatever place you pick. The social connections, daily life, it will all take a long time to set up. One thing that helps is keeping in touch with the most important people in your life - whereever they may be.

Well Indians go to Canada to work. They dont start fights or cause problems. If they are all living in one area what’s the problem? They are here in the UAE as well and live more or less in a community. Does not mean they don’t integrate. I have cousins in Ontario who have married non Indians. It’s the governments fault for bringing in so many people and not providing adequate housing. These people come in with whatever they have and then struggle to make ends meet and then have to leave if they can’t afford it anymore so it’s bad both ways.

Eventually, something has to be done to open eyes of people that Canadians had turned off their universities. I do not care what will be with new comers, we need some educated youth at the end. I live in Canada, all these problems are true and also health care system is not that good and high taxes…..However, life feels secured as food, environment and roads quality is AAA grade. You can actually achieve dreams as jobs pay good, even though you can to spend in dollars but remember macbook will cost 1.25 lakh and $2000 in Canada but there is huge difference in income, same goes for cars which translates that normal middle class family can have cars like Mercedes, audi and BMW which is not achievable in India. It’s safe country you can have whatever opinions you want, women can dress whatever they want and go out anytime without being worried. By considering all those things i decided to surrender my indian passport and got Canadian one.

This guy makes his living helping foreign workers come to Canada. Of course he thinks limiting them is a bad idea, he stands to lose some clients which means he won't have as much money for next year's new BMW and whatever options he wants. I have lived in Germany for six years. I did my graduate studies in Berlin. I speak the language fluently. Compared to the US, where I live now, Germany has much to offer. However, as an immigrant, whatever skills and whatever paper or citizenship you might have, you will never feel that you belong there. Language is another issue. Germany is for Germans, while the US is for everyone from any part of the world.
