Pull the camera back and look at the big picture. The US has been divided sharply down the middle of the political spectrum. Canada has been crumbling under stupid political and economic decisions. This trade war is uniting the common people both American and Canadian and supportive allies around the world. Corruption has bubbled to the surface and many things that conspiracy theorists have been mocked for is now commonly known as truth. The people will unite while the Oligarchs mutter “let them eat cake” and there will be a reckoning. Donald might be making stupid choices, but perhaps that is what we needed to finally wake up and unite.

Canadians demand that all business remove american products from their shelves...Make it easier for Canadians to buy Canadian only....Canadians have spoken....We support Canadian business....I live in Manitoba and I want to be able to buy products from Newfound Land to BC. Mr. Trump we thank you for dealing with our budget and splitting ties with freeloaders. Canada cant defend themselves and we dont need their bacon or anything they have at all. As an American, I FULLY support Canada's response to these idiotic and extremely damaging tariffs levied by the US. Someone MUST stand up to his tyranny, and not bow down this bully.

You sit there spending 0 on your own military and live off us like a leech. You want to talk about hurting American families, lets talk fentanyl. Let me explain the trading relationship briefly that occurs between Canada and the US for context. \n \nCanada Has a LOT of natural resources, more than our domestic manufacturing base needs (Uranium fuel, Lumber/paper products, Steel and other metals, Fertilizer for farms...etc). Therefore we sell those raw materials to the states where they are manufactured into goods, which we then buy back. a LOT of American service companies like tech, media (And yes, even banks)...etc also operates in Canada as well. (For the auto sector the parts flip back and forth across the border like 8 times) \n \nThis relationship alone has the American economy see a large trade surplus with Canada, however there is another element to it: Energy. \n \nCanada is also home to a LARGE amount of really cheap renewable hydro power in the east, and a LOT of oil in the west, due to a lack of infrastructure we really can only sell that oil to the states and therefore it is done at a discount. America refines this cheap oil into gas and is a large part of the reason why American gas is so cheap. They use this energy to power the same factories mentioned above. (Oh and also the NE states import a lot of that clean hydro electricity for the same reasons) \n \nThe US Buys SO MUCH of that cheap energy from us to power your industrial base, that it swings the numbers on the trade balance into a small deficit for the USA. (41 billion out of a TRILLION dollars total trade, or about -4.1% of total trade so literally a pretty small deficit) It also swing back and forth every year so \n \nThen comes Trump. He wants Canada as a 51st state and own the entire continent, therefore he manufactures an excurse that our border is leaky and that migrants and fentanyl are flowing over. (In actual case migrants and the flow of Fent is about 1% the amount that's crossing at the Mexico border but he needs an excuse) \n \nHe therefore puts 25% tariffs on us. Those tariffs will hit Canada harder than the 2008 financial crisis just for scale. \n \nOh and also for the most part American Refineries literally cant process any other oil than ours or Venezuela's because its thicker so tariffs on our oil will also really increase the priced of energy in the states by a huge amount just for the LOLs. As we've seen during the post covid recovery, since gas is priced in to the supply chain at every step (Manufacturing, transportation...etc), any increase at the pump will snowball into higher costs for everything at the store, on top of the extra cost of the tariffs on consumers. (Since every step will need to add it into their markup.)

Just 4 months ago, this rat Trudeau said America made a mistake in voting for Trump, instead of a woman. Americans voted and overwhelmingly chose President Trump. Justin Trudeau should rather try to repair the damage that he has done to Canada and let the Adult Trump run the US.

Im confused...where is the US border patrol? Canada doesn't check people going into America, right? Its US border patrol that checks people coming into America, no? Canada spends only 27 billion dollars per year on their military budget because America spends 900 billion dollars on their military budget.. Canada saves so much money because America defends Canada with the American military.. Canada should compensate America for keeping them safe.. or increase their military budget so they do not need help from the US..

As an American and stock investor, I firmly believe that Canada should just ban the export of goods, services and energy products to the US and increase their trade with other countries with the condition that trade will be unbanned once the entire GOP is removed from political power in all three branches of the US. They would be removed either willingly or not within days if not hours.

Harris voter here, you gotta do what you gotta do Canada. I don't know if I will make it through this but there are people out there in worse situations with more overtly oppressive governments, so I can't complain too much. Canada was requested numerous times to help stop the flow of fentanyl which Mexican cartels trafficked that killed 200,000 Americans. Trudeau's reply is only 1% of fentanyl comes through Canada.. even though they don't properly secure the border and everyone knows the amount is significantly higher.\nTrudeau ran to Mexico to sweet talk THEM into mutual trade deals rather than assist the US stopping Mexican cartels.\n\nTrudeau should be arrested and tried by military tribunal for his participation in 200,000 deaths.

It is said that if America imposes a tarrif on Canada, then Americans will pay more for Canadian goods. Possibly electricity too.
